Sort Code 98-01-20, Account Number [redacted]2, C&S Magovern. Last Thursday, I had a conversation with a helpful lady regarding a £6,[redacted] loan. After an extensive discussion, she mentioned I was conditionally approved pending additional checks. I have been a loyal customer of UB for over 30 years and never faced any issues with my mortgage or numerous past loans. My credit score is above [redacted]. On Monday, I inquired at the Larne branch about the quickest way to receive the funds at Danesfort; they advised visiting the branch. Today, I called as I hadn't heard anything and was greeted by a foreign gentleman who eventually transferred me to a lady in Dublin who couldn't assist despite providing the reference number. Frustrated, I decided to cancel. Surprisingly, 24 minutes later, I received confirmation for the £6,[redacted] loan, even though I had informed UB of my decision to cancel. This experience has been disappointing, and despite my loyalty, I am considering moving my account elsewhere.

I am writing to report a scam involving an individual posing as an Ulster Bank customer under the name Akanni JM with the account details: Sort code 98-55-65, Account Number: [redacted]9. This person was supposed to make a payment of €[redacted] to my account on June 5th, [redacted], which never occurred. The individual has also made payments to Sainsbury’s and Morrisons. I have tried to contact this person using the mobile number (00 [redacted] 74 75) provided without success. I do not have any other contact details for this person in Dublin. I am attaching the screenshot of the bank statement provided by the individual for your reference to investigate this fraudulent activity. If this person is not a customer of Ulster Bank, it is crucial to involve the authorities immediately to address this serious scam. Thank you for your attention.
