Hello,
I am writing to report that my home computer was compromised on Wednesday evening, and there may have been an attempt to access my EE and I bond accounts. When I tried to open my Treasury Direct account, only a blank page appeared on my screen, indicating additional computer issues. I am having my computer cleaned to remove any malware. While I wait, I am concerned about the safety of my EE and I bonds. I plan to check my Treasury Direct account on Saturday and, if needed, on Monday afternoon. I am Mary Elaine Linden, and I keep paper copies of my bonds in my bank's safe deposit box. I would appreciate verification that my account still holds my bonds. Though I cannot access my personal files at work, I have photocopies of each bond there for reference. If you are unable to address my concerns now, I will follow up by email or phone on Monday. For future reference, I hope to restore my Treasury Direct access once my computer is secure. You can reach me at my work email at the Minneapolis Central Public Library in Hennepin County's Library System. Thank you.

My sister passed away on March 7, [redacted], and her estate has completed probate. I was appointed as the Executor and have the letter of appointment from the courts. Recently, I discovered a collection of 15 EE Savings Bonds with her name and signature, ranging from [redacted] to [redacted]. I intend to redeem them and allocate the funds to her Estate Account. To make provisions for the Federal and State Estate taxes due in [redacted], as suggested by the Tax professional handling her taxes, I plan to reserve a portion of the funds. The remainder will be distributed among her beneficiaries. Could someone please guide me on the necessary steps to accomplish this transfer?

I am looking to purchase I Bonds.
I filled out the necessary information on the Treasury Direct website to buy I Bonds, but it is asking for my account number. However, I do not remember my account number from 20 years ago, and the system does not provide this information.
I have attempted to locate my account number and even tried applying for a new one. The message "We were unable to verify the information you provided. Please review the information you entered and click Continue" keeps showing up repeatedly when I try to proceed.
I have attempted to call for assistance, but unfortunately, I have not been able to get in touch with a live person.
I appreciate any help you can provide.

Thirty-two and a half years ago, my father purchased Series EE paper bonds, with the intention that they would go to my mother upon his passing. Unfortunately, my mother fell seriously ill right before they reached full maturity and couldn't endorse them. She passed away a year and a month after my father. Now, I have to use the bond liquidation to repay the Medicaid benefits my mother received in Nevada. Dealing with Treasury Direct has been a nightmare. They received all the necessary documents on March 24, [redacted], but as of August 18, [redacted], there has been no communication despite their estimated 13-week processing time. Their website is outdated and confusing, with long hold times on the phone and unhelpful responses. It's frustrating to see government agencies mishandling the funds that rightfully belong to hardworking citizens like my parents. It seems oversight is lacking, and I may have to involve my State Attorney General to resolve this issue.

I have been locked out of my Treasury account for over a week now and need assistance unlocking it. When I call the [redacted] number, I get disconnected after about 10 minutes. As a disabled individual, it is crucial for me to unlock my account for tax purposes. I urgently need to resolve this issue. Is there an alternative phone number or a live person I can speak to for help? I am extremely frustrated with the current situation. Thank you, Ed.

I am Joseph R Martini, and I am seeking assistance regarding the transfer of my I bonds to a revocable trust. I mistakenly submitted a request to assign these bonds to my regular account instead of establishing a trust account. The three $10,[redacted] I bonds are in my current account (U-[redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted]), and there are ten paper I bonds, one for $[redacted] and nine for $1,[redacted] each, that were sent to Indianapolis. I have received an email on Jan 23, [redacted], informing me that I need to set up a Trust account. The Trust account is now created with Ref Account #D-[redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted]. I plan to resubmit the three electronic bonds, but I am unsure about how to proceed with the 10 paper bonds. I have documentation for each paper bond. If I cannot retrieve the submitted paper bonds, will I have to request reissuance? I noticed that Notary certifications are not acceptable, and I need to use Medallion services from a brokerage firm. I would appreciate guidance on the correct steps to take. Thank you. Sincerely, Joseph R Martini
