I requested to pause my newspaper delivery for a month with a planned restart on March 1. Upon returning, I found my subscription had expired and needed to renew. After speaking with three representatives and requesting a supervisor, I faced disconnections and broken promises for a call back. The fourth representative appeared to have resolved the issue, yet the paper did not arrive today. I recently sent a check to renew for 6 months. As a loyal customer for nearly 50 years, I value holding a physical paper. While I appreciate email responses, speaking with a person directly about my concerns with The Dispatch is my preference.

Hello, I am Curtis S. from [redacted] Niagara Reserve Dr, Westerville. I am extremely dissatisfied with the delivery service to my home. I pay for the printed version of the dispatch four days a week but hardly ever receive it as expected. When reporting the missing deliveries, the responses say either the paper will be delivered by a certain time, or that it cannot be delivered that day. While occasionally I receive it on time, most days I do not get it at all. This morning, I was once again informed that I would not receive a paper. I am frustrated by this ongoing issue and would like to know what actions are being taken to improve the delivery service. Additionally, I am concerned about the recent announcement that there will be no Saturday paper. My subscription is for four days, Thursday through Sunday, so I am curious about how this change will affect the delivery schedule. It is very disappointing to pay for a service and not receive it as promised.

I need to cancel my membership right away. I only needed my Dispatch service to resume after a break, but instead of a simple solution, I received repetitive questions that didn't address my issue directly. I want to restart my subscription but also have my membership canceled immediately, including the $1.00 noon fee and the $28.00 charge. This feels like another attempt to extract more money from members. I hope my credit card won't be charged for any additional fees.

I have not received my newspaper for the last two days, Sunday, May 8, and Monday, May 9. I have tried calling numerous times over these two days but have been unable to speak with anyone. It seems there is an ongoing issue with my subscription. Last month, I was informed that someone called in and canceled my subscription. I specifically requested for a note to be placed on my account to prevent this from happening again, yet here we are. I had to wait three days last time to receive a newspaper. I have been a loyal Columbus Dispatch customer for many years, so this recurring problem is frustrating. Can I please have a direct phone number to speak with a representative? I am expecting a newspaper tomorrow and have been unsuccessful in reaching anyone for assistance over the past two days. Despite them successfully deducting payment from my account, I am still without my paper. I prefer speaking over the phone than dealing with emails.

My [redacted]-year-old mother, Anna Lasley, residing at [redacted] Willow Brook Way South, Delaware, Ohio, did not receive her Sunday Dispatch for the second consecutive week. She adores her Dispatch, and it's crucial to her. The facility she lives in, along with all residents, didn't get their Sunday papers for the past two weeks. I had been promised a credit for last week's missed paper, but please provide a credit for this latest missing paper as well. It's vital for the residents to receive their Sunday papers. Moreover, converting the Monday paper to a digital version inadvertently increased the cost for those who can't access it digitally. Please investigate why the Sunday delivery has been failing at the assisted living facility.

I attempted to contact the Dispatch regarding an article on "Honor Flight" in June. It would have only taken around 30 seconds to get my answer if I had spoken to a real person. Instead, I spent one hour and 27 minutes navigating through prompts and questions on the computer without reaching a human. The lack of customer service is surprising for a business. I believe in maintaining human contact and providing efficient service to customers in my own business. Unfortunately, I couldn't get my question resolved after spending more than an hour and 45 minutes online. This experience has left me unimpressed with the Dispatch's customer service, which I would rate as a 2 out of 10.

My parole officer, Beth H., falsely arrested me in Marysville. After sitting in Jackson Pike for 7 days on July 15, following the burial of my 9-year-old niece, Columbus police officers stopped me in a speed trap on 8-4-[redacted]. They used excessive force and took my property. I have videos of both incidents. I believe they racially targeted me and violated my rights. I plan to seek $20 million in damages from them. I demand the return of my property and justice for their misconduct. My frustration and anger are justified. I have a court appearance in the morning, but without my property, I am unable to proceed.

I am concerned about the ongoing delivery issues many are experiencing. Despite multiple attempts to contact a live representative, I have not received satisfactory answers. We, Martha and Willard Daum, reside at [redacted] Smoky Row Rd, Powell Ohio, reachable at [redacted]. Our delivery problems are persistent, particularly over the past week. We did not receive the paper on certain days and resorted to buying a copy for $5 at CVS due to no delivery resolution. As elderly individuals, relying on the delivery service is crucial, but the continuous issues remain unresolved even after promises by a customer service representative. Requesting a callback to address these concerns promptly.

I have been a loyalsubscriber of the Dispatch for over 50 years, enjoying the daily newspaper despite the changes. However, I have an issue with the paper delivery. Due to my disability, I struggle to retrieve the paper if it is not placed directly in front of the door or inside the storm door. Recently, during my hospitalization, I found out that the paper has been thrown into the driveway instead of being placed by the front door. This continued even upon my return home, and today the paper was not delivered at all. It seems there might be a new carrier. I urgently request that the carrier be informed that the paper must be placed as requested for me to access it. This is crucial for me to continue my subscription. I kindly ask for this to be resolved by tomorrow. Thank you. Rosamond Davis

I recently canceled my newspaper subscription, with the last delivery scheduled for October 24. However, on October 19, I noticed a charge of $13.00 on my checking account. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the auto payment wasn't stopped as promised. Despite my request for a refund, I was told they do not issue refunds and that my subscription was paid through November 26. Frustrated by the situation, I reiterated that the error was on their end. The representative claimed she needed to escalate the issue to the editor, which I found to be an unacceptable excuse. I am disappointed by the lack of accountability and service provided. I intend to file a complaint with the BBB due to this poor experience. It's not about the money, but the principle. The quality of the newspaper has also declined, with excessive advertisements and minimal news coverage. I hope for better service in the future.

I requested the cancellation of my newspaper last month with a promised last delivery date of 10/24. However, on October 19, my checking account was charged $13.00. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the auto payment was not stopped as promised during the cancellation process. I requested a refund, but was told they do not issue refunds and that my subscription was paid through Nov. 26. Despite explaining the situation, I was met with resistance as the representative insisted on sending a letter to the editor before addressing my refund. This is an unacceptable practice, and as a former customer service representative myself, I am appalled by the excuses given. I am considering filing a complaint with the BBB regarding this issue, not just because of the $13.00, but because of the lack of accountability and customer service. The quality of the news content in the Dispatch is also lacking, with an abundance of advertisements overshadowing the news. What has happened to providing a comprehensive newspaper in Columbus?

I am Joy Shaffer residing at [redacted] Winchester Rd, Carroll, OH [redacted]. I did not receive my delivery on Monday, November 14, [redacted]. I informed you on the same day. I was assured 2 papers for Tuesday, November 15, but only received one. I no longer want the Monday paper as a replacement, but I am seeking a refund. This recurring issue has left me dissatisfied with the service as a customer. Furthermore, I am interested in reducing my monthly fee as a senior customer aged 81 on a fixed income. Your prompt attention to these matters is appreciated. Thank you.

I have concerns regarding the treatment of Black and Brown theatre companies by Michael Grossberg, the theatre representative. Grossberg consistently supports certain theatres like Abbey Theatre of Dublin, Evolution Theatre, Short North Theatre, CCT, CATCO, OTP, and Red Herring, while neglecting others, such as The 10th Columbus Black Theatre Festival. This pattern of favoritism is evident in his recent coverage of theatre in [redacted]. It is time for the Dispatch to modernize and embrace diversity instead of perpetuating old racist practices. Grossberg's continued presence does not reflect the rich tapestry of our theatre community. Retirement should be considered to bring about positive change.

Hello, I'm S. Saltsman residing at [redacted] Chevington Road, zip code [redacted], reachable at [redacted]. Our morning delivery has been consistently problematic as it is sometimes misplaced in the bushes, delaying its discovery for days. Despite being informed of a 3 PM delivery, it never arrives. Providing this service for over 40 years, recent delinquencies like today's no-show and the previous delivery hidden at the back of the house are frustrating for us, especially as seniors. Our well-lit front porch offers a convenient location for drop-offs. We've lodged numerous complaints, reflecting our repeated disappointment. Kindly ensure future deliveries are left on the front porch for our easy access. For communications, reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] I look forward to your prompt resolution. Thank you.

I have been a loyal customer of The Dispatch for over 25 years, ever since I settled in this area. I currently reside at [redacted] Mohawk Street. The delivery service has always been exceptional, thanks to the previous carrier team who consistently delivered my paper straight into my mail slot. However, it seems the new carrier needs to step up their game. While the paper is still wrapped in a plastic bag, it is now carelessly tossed onto my driveway instead of being placed in the slot. Despite lodging a complaint through the electronic system, there hasn't been any improvement in the service. I sincerely hope that the new carrier can start putting the paper back where it belongs - into my house's mail slot.

I recently subscribed to home delivery service for the newspaper to start last Sunday. Unfortunately, I did not receive the paper on Sunday or on Monday. After contacting customer service, I was informed that there was an issue with my sign-up, so we had to redo the process. I was assured that I would receive the missing papers today, but they have not arrived. Additionally, I noticed a charge of $15.00 on my account. I am concerned because I had previously canceled my subscription a few months ago due to consistent delivery issues. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me at [redacted] to help resolve this matter.

I recently received your letter regarding my email complaint a month ago about the delivery service. Your response highlighted understaffing and issues with the carrier. Prior to this, our previous carrier used to deliver the paper right to our door. This situation reflects poorly on the work ethic prevalent in our society, which is disheartening. As a consumer, it feels like there are limited options for resolution, leaving me frustrated. Crawfords [redacted] Landings Way, Grove City, OH
