Dear Sir,
I recently returned from a package holiday in Sardinia that was arranged through the Telegraph and booked with HolidayGems. Unfortunately, upon arrival at Olbia AirPort, the Travel Vouchers provided did not contain enough information, causing a situation where I couldn't collect the Hire Car I had paid for. Despite my attempts to contact HolidayGems for help, my calls were unanswered.
Upon discovering that "Flexible Autos" listed on the voucher was a broker, not the actual car hire company, I managed to reach them online. They confirmed the booking but agreed that more details should have been provided, such as the Car Hire Company Name and Booking reference, which were missing.
Efforts to reach the car company directly were fruitless, leading me to cancel the booking and incur a significant cost by hiring locally. Despite multiple attempts to contact HolidayGems by email and phone, I have not received any response or assistance. The additional financial burden amounts to [redacted] Euros, which I believe could have been avoided with better customer service.
I have continued to reach out to HolidayGems since returning home, to no avail. As this holiday package was advertised in the Telegraph Travel Section, I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction with the lack of communication and support from HolidayGems. I kindly request your intervention to investigate their unresponsiveness and lack of assistance toward resolving this issue promptly.
