I recently signed up for a Stein Mart account and made a purchase. However, I received a call stating that I hadn't paid my bill, even though I never received a bill or a Stein Mart Credit Card. When signing up in-store, the associate had to enter my correct mailing address. I suspect that the address on the account might be incorrect, causing me to not receive the card or bill. I want to resolve this issue, but I can't create a web account with Stein Mart without an account number. Please assist me in fixing this problem.

Stein Mart provided me with a damaged return label for the 12 items I ordered. When I contacted customer service and provided my order number, they were not able to see online that they had previously sent a label. Their agents had difficulty locating the items due to mismatches between the style numbers on my order history and their website. For example, a style number for a sweater tank showed up as men's cargo shorts.
Due to these issues, I will need to call back as I don't have the time to address this at the moment. I believe Stein Mart should just send me a new label considering I had one originally. I will enclose a copy of my order from their website and the damaged label with my return, but there seems to be confusion regarding the return process.

Store located at [redacted] Herndon Ave in Clovis, CA, on 11/15/18 at around 2 PM. My spouse, an 85-year-old with a walker, dementia, and at risk for falls, enjoys shopping at Stein Mart. We visit the store 2 or 3 times a week. Previously, a month ago, we used the South East Dressing room after the North dressing room was closed. Today, a manager or personal shopper insisted it was a ladies' room and asked us to stop using it without any posted signs. I felt angry and left without making a purchase, feeling it was age discrimination, gender discrimination, and possibly breaking Federal and State laws. I demand that this issue be addressed promptly, including the removal of the staff member involved and an apology to both my wife and myself. The manager provided a card, but I decided to leave without further discussion.

Steinmart has been my favorite clothing store for several years. I've been purchasing the Peck & Peck brand pants and shorts made of stretch material, as recommended by a friend. I own almost every color available in the pants. However, I have noticed that two pairs of pants and one pair of shorts have developed issues with the stretch material breaking in the seat area, causing white threads to show. When I brought one pair back to the store without a receipt, they were unable to assist me. Since my other Peck & Peck items are fine, I believe there may have been a flaw in the material of these specific items. All the pants and shorts are size 12. I had intended to contact Peck & Peck directly but discovered they are owned by Steinmart. I have discarded two pairs with this issue, but I wanted to address the three remaining flawed items to inquire about a possible store credit if I send them to you. I made a $94.00 purchase with a mix of cash, a gift card, and a Stein Mart credit card. I returned two items and kept one. I requested a cash refund for what I paid in cash and for the gift card amount to be returned to me, with the remainder charged to my Stein Mart card later. The store insisted all the refunds go back on the Stein Mart card as credit, resulting in a $4.00 to $5.00 discrepancy. I was unsatisfied as I wanted the refunds in their original payment forms. I felt their customer service was lacking and could have corrected the issue on the spot instead of leaving me to sort out the discrepancy. I attempted to contact them by phone to no avail, hoping to resolve the matter.

As a loyal Elite customer of Stein Mart, I recently made a purchase on SteinMart.com while traveling. Upon returning home, I found my order waiting, along with a 20% off coupon received by mail. Despite the fact that my purchase aligned with the coupon's valid dates, I was informed by customer service that the coupon had expired. I believe that since the coupon was valid at the time of my order placement, I should be eligible for the discount. If I had been present to physically receive the mail, I would have certainly used the coupon. I hold Stein Mart in high regard and trust that my appeal will be considered. I tried to place an online order on Thursday, 11/7/19, spending over an hour on the website. I contacted customer service, and Kerith helped me place the order with a coupon and gift card, providing the order number [redacted]. However, I was told my AMEX would be charged $27.47, but the confirmation email showed $43.46. After speaking with Shanden, he promised a $20.49 credit, but it hasn't shown up despite the shoes shipping. I spoke with Nick on 11/11/19, who suggested returning the shoes for a refund, which was not my preference. I feel disappointed in the service received and believe that promises should be kept. I have been a loyal Stein Mart customer, but this experience has left me frustrated and inconvenienced. I hope for a resolution soon without further delays or complications. Thank you. Subject: Concern About Deceptive Advertising at Stein Mart in Scottsdale, AZ
This afternoon, around 4 pm, I visited the Stein Mart located at [redacted] N. Scottsdale Rd with the intention of purchasing a jacket. I came across a jacket on a rack with a sign indicating an extra 40% off the already reduced price, which was $24.92. Upon confirming with the store clerk, I expected the additional discount at the register, but the cashier mentioned the price was final. The store manager, Sohaila, then stated they couldn't honor the reduced price due to an error.
During the discussion about pricing and advertising, the manager unexpectedly inquired about my nationality, which was quite surprising. I believe this incident falls under deceptive advertising and potentially bait-and-switch practices, which I intend to report to the corporate office. All customers should be treated fairly and equally, especially when advertised discounts are involved. To escalate this matter, I plan to contact the Scottsdale Better Business Bureau and ABC Consumer Help in Phoenix.

I am Sandra Nevils from Indianapolis, Indiana, and I am a loyal customer of Steinmart. Even though I usually shop in-store, I encountered a significant issue with my recent online order. I made a purchase for three items five weeks ago, but I have only received one of them so far. My bank account shows that I have been charged for all three items. I did not receive any email with tracking numbers, and after waiting for five weeks, I am concerned about the status of my remaining items. Hello and Happy Holidays, my name is Wilbert N. I would like to share an incident that occurred today at 2:00 p.m. at the Stein Mart Store in Ocean, NJ. I was trying to purchase 4 poles and 2 shirts from the clearance section with an additional 40% off promotion. However, when I went to pay, the cashier, an elderly blonde lady, informed me that the discount couldn't be applied. This confused me because I had received the same discount at the store in Hodel, NJ earlier that day. Stein Mart recently reported a delinquent payment on my credit report for a mere $2.00, which was an interest charge I thought was settled. I am disappointed that this was not resolved as agreed upon two months ago. I received a new statement and hope the $2.00 charge is not present this time. I strongly disagree with my account being marked as delinquent. Please rectify this with the credit bureau and send me confirmation promptly.

I visited my local Stein Mart today to make returns with receipts. Unfortunately, the return was denied as I had exceeded the limit. The associate provided me with a denial receipt and a phone number to call, but despite my efforts, nothing could be done. I frequent this store weekly and sometimes purchase items without trying them on first. I feel frustrated that I wasn't forewarned about this policy. After researching online, I discovered conflicting information regarding the return process. I regret making another purchase after being denied a return. If this issue is not resolved, I will take my business elsewhere. I hope to be able to return the items as originally intended. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I received my order number #[redacted] from Stein Mart on Thursday, March 4th. Unfortunately, the style, fit, and color did not meet my expectations. I promptly emailed them on the same day to initiate a return for the item I purchased for $49.45. Despite sending follow-up emails on March 9th and still not receiving any response as of Wednesday, March 10th, I remain hopeful they will adhere to their 30-day return policy for store credit. As a loyal customer who has previously spent a substantial amount at Stein Mart, I am disappointed by the lack of communication regarding my return. I understand their policy is store credit only, but given the circumstances, I would appreciate a refund to my original payment method.
