I recently visited your Steak 'n Shake location in Crawfordsville, IN and unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the service and attention to detail. I specifically ordered my meal without onions and requested an extra side of gravy. Despite this, my cheddar scramble was full of onions and missing the gravy. When I brought this to my waitress, Dajane's attention, she did bring me a cup of gravy but did not address the onion issue. After trying to pick out the onions for 10 minutes, I found a large piece of plastic-like saran wrap in my food. I was unable to continue eating and chose not to pay for the meal. I spoke with manager Amanda, who was unable to explain the mishap. I have photos of the plastic in my meal and I would appreciate guidance on how to address this issue.

I believe I have two accounts on the app. One with some money and points, but my phone crashed. After setting up the app again, I lost all my points and money. I had less than $20 and a few points, used it only a couple of times, and now it's all gone. I haven't used the app for a couple of months. I want to resolve this before I use it again. My email for both accounts is [redacted] I have a reference # [redacted] from my call this morning. The app on my phone is working, but I see no points or money. I haven't added another card as I'm trying to fix the issue. Online login doesn't work; seems different from the phone app. I only care about the phone app. I'm trying to locate my original account with my points and money. Thank you.

Yesterday evening around 5:30 at your Eureka, MO location, my family, including four grandchildren ranging from 5 to 12 years old, experienced extremely rude treatment. Despite the restaurant being 3/4 full with no one waiting in line, the young man working there informed us it would be a 45-minute wait for a table. When I suggested combining a table for four with a table for two to speed up the process, he bluntly refused. Requesting to speak with the manager resulted in him claiming the manager was busy, until I insisted he come out immediately. Eventually, the manager emerged and explained there were only two servers on duty, which seemed inadequate considering the number of staff present and the restaurant's occupancy. Normally, we frequent the Washington, MO location weekly due to a family member's preference. With nine grandchildren, we are regular customers. Our visit to the Eureka location was impromptu after a weekend with the grandchildren. The manager's behavior was unacceptable and displayed incompetence. Their lack of customer service may deter loyal patrons over time. Accountability is essential, and if there have been previous complaints, serious action should be taken to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Upon our arrival, a kind young man, although off-duty, seated us and took our order. Unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to serve us. Subsequently, our designated waitress showed no urgency, leaving our food waiting for 15 minutes and ignoring other orders as well. Despite understanding that mishaps occur, it's essential to handle them promptly. Typically, we enjoy the service of Ryan, who was assisting the waitress that evening efficiently. Even though we are regular patrons, our food arrived cold, and we opted not to involve a manager but paid and left unsatisfied. The prior attempt at feedback seemed to be misinterpreted as positive, which was not the case. The reference number for the previous complaint is [redacted]. Looking forward to your response.

I have visited various restaurants, and upon entering, I noticed that S & S lacks hand sanitizers which is concerning for me. This issue was highlighted in a local newspaper article, and the feedback should be taken seriously. The worst possible day for a Next Door Maryland Heights member is described as follows: 1) Waking up late to find the newspaper missing multiple times, despite calling customer service promises. 2) Going to Steak N Shake for breakfast, experiencing long wait times, unfriendly service, cold food, and cold coffee. 3) Accidentally hitting a new crosswalk sign and damaging the car while driving back home. 4) Discovering that a neighbor's dog has soiled the Sunday paper left at the driveway upon returning home.

I visited your store on Conestoga Drive in Springfield, IL after receiving a coupon. I placed both a dine-in and a to-go order, specifically for the Steak and Shake meal that was supposed to come with two sides. I ordered a salad and onion rings as my sides but was charged for the salad in the final bill. For the to-go order, I requested a GRILLED CHEESE sandwich with fries, asking for the pickle and tomato to be grilled inside the cheese. However, when I got home, I was given a CHEESEBURGER ON TEXAS TOAST instead. It seems there was a mix-up, potentially with another customer's order. Unfortunately, since my wife is a vegetarian, she couldn't eat the sandwich. I kindly request $10 as compensation for the confusion, the incorrect order, and the inconvenience caused to my wife during this visit to Steak and Shake.

Regarding my recent visit to Steak and Shake in Silver Springs, Florida, I previously shared concerns about the service. Unfortunately, despite giving it another chance with my neighbors, the experience was disappointing. The cleanliness was subpar, with food and napkins on the floor. The staff were openly arguing, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. One staff member even stated they didn't care, leading to others following suit. Our fries were not good, and by the time our server returned, we were nearly finished with our burgers. The state of the bathroom was unsatisfactory, with low water pressure. When it came time to pay, I waited approximately 9 minutes for assistance. Overall, the poor management and issues I encountered around 4:30 pm on December 5th reflect negatively on this Steak and Shake location.

I recently visited the new Steak 'n Shake in Smyrna, Tennessee, which is conveniently close to where I live. Upon arrival, I noticed there were 14 employees, mainly trainees in the kitchen. The manager appeared a couple of minutes after we received our food. Unfortunately, it took a full hour from 6:17 pm to 7:15 pm on December 6th. Despite several customers requesting refunds, the staff still prepared the orders and then discarded them, which could have been handled better by advising to halt preparation for refunded items. The drive-thru process seemed to be more efficient than the inside service. Once the manager appeared, things improved. However, the young employees, mostly teenagers, seemed unsure of their roles. After the long wait, our order was incomplete, with one burger completely incorrect and another with significantly smaller meat than expected. It's disheartening that due to poor management and lack of preparation, many potential customers might not consider returning to this location.

Last night, three friends and I dined at a Steak ‘n Shake in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Upon entering, we noticed many unoccupied tables cluttered with dirty dishes and food remnants, some with melted ice and solidified nacho cheese cups. The floor was strewn with old nuggets and fries, including under our table. Despite waiting an hour for our order of two burgers and one grilled cheese, the delayed service wasn't unexpected. When the food finally arrived, the burgers were satisfactory, but my grilled cheese was far from it. The bread was burnt on the outside and raw inside, with unmelted cheese slices. My overall experience at Steak ‘n Shake was unpleasant, making us hesitant to revisit the establishment.

Late last night, my family visited Steak 'n Shake in Mansfield, Ohio, on St. Rt. 13, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The food was cold, especially my daughter's Mac and Cheese, which only had four small spoonfuls for $3. The chili was also cold and unappetizing. The restroom was in poor condition; it was dirty, lacked paper towels and soap, and the urinals were not cleaned properly. I was shocked by the state of the restroom as a Custodian Tech II. I even took photos to show the level of cleanliness. The mops they were using had a bad smell and were very dirty. I would like to share the photos with the management if possible.

I waited for an hour and a half in the drive-thru for my order of 2 chili Macs and 2 milkshakes. After being asked to pull over and wait, I received watered-down milkshakes. Upon returning inside to have them remade, my food was cold. To my disappointment, there were no crackers or Parmesan cheese for the chili Macs, and I was informed they were out of both items. This experience at the Alton, IL location, with manager Seth on duty, was incredibly frustrating. Surprisingly, the staff did not seem busy as they were standing around when I entered to address the milkshake issue.

My partner and I enjoy dining at Steak and Shake, but our recent experiences have been disappointing. Our visit to the Algonquin IL location was particularly unpleasant. Despite initially getting my boyfriend's order wrong, which was eventually corrected, we were dismayed by the large number of fruit flies present. Throughout our meal, we had to continuously fend off the flies, and I even found some in my water, which was very off-putting. Witnessing so many bugs around us made us question the hygiene of the kitchen where our food was prepared. Additionally, the slow service was evident as we observed three idle cashiers while three customers waited for takeout orders for nearly half an hour before realizing they were being overlooked. Overall, our visit left us extremely dissatisfied with the restaurant's cleanliness and service.

My boyfriend and I enjoy dining at Steak and Shake, but our recent experiences have been disappointing. Last night at the Algonquin IL location, my boyfriend's order was initially incorrect and there were numerous fruit flies present. Throughout our meal, we had to continually swat them away, and some even ended up in my water. The sight of so many bugs made us concerned about the kitchen's cleanliness. On top of that, there was a lack of available cashiers, leading to customers waiting for extended periods to place their orders. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our visit due to the poor service and hygiene issues.

On Thursday, December 13, at around 2:45 P.M., my visit to the Steak and Shake in Milford, Ohio was somewhat frustrating. Due to construction in the drive-thru area, I had to go inside with my granddaughter who needed to rush back to catch a bus for school. After ordering a chocolate milkshake and waiting a few minutes, the service was slow and disorganized. The staff explained there was a new employee, then said he disappeared and the waitress had to step in, but then he reappeared. In the midst of this, I helped another customer make change, as there was no one available to assist at the counter. After 15 minutes, we received our shake, though two were brought out instead of one, causing confusion. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the lack of efficiency and friendliness at this location. I hope the management addresses these concerns. Thank you.

My family and I recently visited the Steak and Shake in Warsaw, Indiana. Upon arrival, we waited to be seated with our two children. Despite the restaurant being half full with clean, empty tables, we were ignored by the waitstaff for several minutes. As more customers arrived, we were all left standing without any acknowledgment. Eventually, a waitress informed us in a curt manner that it would be a 20-minute wait without further explanation. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to leave, as did the customers behind us. The service was lackluster and rude, leaving a negative impression on us. Our kids, who were excited for milkshakes, were disappointed by the experience. We are disappointed by the service and do not plan to return in the future.

The Steak and Shake in Marion, Indiana, urgently requires improved management. In my last two visits within two weeks, I left without being served. During the first visit, due to being understaffed, my guests and I were overlooked, leading to other customers leaving before us. Today, December 15th, I returned with another guest to order the 4 for 4 deal but was informed after a waiting period of approximately seven minutes that chili and the featured cookie were unavailable for this deal. Disappointed once more, we opted to eat elsewhere. The advertised hand-dipped shakes are allegedly made of a frozen milk mixture, raising concerns about false advertisement. As a dissatisfied customer, this situation calls for immediate attention.

I have experience in the restaurant industry and don't usually complain. When we arrived at the restaurant, they were busy, so we expected a bit of a wait. However, after waiting for 40 minutes to get our food, I had to inquire about it myself. Our waitresses were nowhere to be found until a different server brought us our order, and the service was unfriendly. What frustrates me the most is the lack of communication or any apology for the delay. Additionally, customers who arrived after us received their food before us, which was disappointing. My experience at the Steak n’ Shake on Overton Ridge in Fort Worth last night was extremely disappointing. We ordered 2 milkshakes in the drive-thru, but despite the light traffic, we waited for 45 minutes. When we finally received our order, the milkshakes were made incorrectly with very little chocolate. The service was unfriendly, and there was no apology for the long wait. We have been loyal customers and would appreciate a coupon or gift certificate as compensation for the subpar service and food quality. Thank you, LS and SC

I was very disappointed with the service at Steak ‘n Shake in Springfield, Missouri recently. After an eight-hour road trip, my family and I arrived at the restaurant late. Our waitress, Ila, seated us but then kicked the silverware on the floor away from our table instead of picking it up. Despite this strange behavior, we tried to overlook it. However, further issues arose when my daughter received Parmesan fries instead of plain ones, my husband got plain fries instead of seasoned ones, and his burger arrived without bacon. When we addressed these mistakes, the waitress loudly blamed the kitchen instead of addressing the situation professionally. As a fellow waitress, I found this behavior offensive and left a small tip due to the poor service. The waitress's reaction to the tip was unprofessional, leaving me feeling disrespected. This experience has made me uncertain about returning to this restaurant in the future.
