I am disappointed with the service I received this morning when I had to wait 25 minutes on the phone. I spoke to four different operators, all of whom put me on hold to transfer me to someone else. It seems like the operators are only trained to put customers on hold instead of providing immediate assistance. As a customer of over 25 years, this experience has made me consider switching banks. I have heard that another bank treats their customers better, and I am contemplating withdrawing my money and moving to them.

Hello St. George, I recently noticed a $15 “Payment Honour” fee charged on 15/07 to Michelle’s Emergency account, which had a $[redacted] credit balance. Could you please address this issue? I typically trust the bank and don’t scrutinize my statements closely, given my long-standing relationship with the institution despite recent banking inquiries. I hope this doesn’t become a routine. I always ensure funds are available before using the card, so I am puzzled by this charge. There was a similar incident around 29th June (or May) involving Brickx, where St. George reimbursed me for the error. Kindly provide clarification. I believe the account number ends with [redacted]. Warm regards, Michelle W.

I have three accounts with St. George Bank. One account was opened about five years ago but have never used it. Initially, it was opened for a friend to transfer money owed to me. Recently, my daughter transferred money to this account as she lost her wallet. However, I discovered I reached the weekly limits and couldn't withdraw the funds. I called customer service, and the woman I spoke to assured me I could withdraw it using Cardless Cash if I transferred the money into the account. When I tried to withdraw, the bank asked for [redacted]% of my ID and the other person on the account, whom I have not seen since the account was opened, nor have I used it. I question why I needed ID to withdraw when I managed to transfer money without it. It's frustrating. I have a cheque in front of me worth $[redacted],[redacted].21, and I am reluctant to deposit it into a St. George account.

Hello, I am currently in China and have a car loan with St George. I am supposed to be teaching English, but due to the virus, I haven't started and won't until April at the earliest. I have payment insurance and need to utilize it until I begin working. My account number is [redacted]86. If this is not an option, I may need to have my son sell the car. Please advise on the best course of action. Thank you, Naomi Ruth Hunter.

Subject: Inquiry Regarding Penalty Charges on Credit Card Account Ending in [redacted] I recently noticed penalty charges on my credit card statement for a card I do not use overseas. I have been away since 29/11/[redacted] and left this card at my home in Melbourne. Since there are no direct debits associated, I rarely check on it for charges. Upon checking my statement a week ago, I was surprised to find the charges as the card seems to have been deactivated and charges applied without my knowledge. Despite receiving emailed statements, I mistakenly assumed there would be no charges since the card wasn't being used. I promptly paid the charges upon discovery, as missing payments is not my usual practice. I am worried about the impact this may have on my credit rating. I seek your understanding and leniency in this matter and hope for a resolution that does not adversely affect my credit history. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

To whom it may concern, I currently find myself in a predicament regarding my expired bank card. Despite not having received the replacement yet, I attempted to log in to my internet banking today without success. As I am overseas in Japan, I reached out to the Overseas Assistance phone number but the wait time exceeded 20 minutes, leading me to abandon the call. This was particularly frustrating considering the expensive call charges from overseas, resulting in wasted time and money with no resolution. My concern deepens as I cannot find an email contact for you to address this issue. I fear for the safety of my bank deposit as there has been no mention of the expiring bank card in the recent email notification I received on September 8, [redacted], regarding my St.George eStatement. I seek assistance in resolving this matter promptly by regaining access to my internet banking to review my bank statement. Sincerely, [Initials]

Dear St. George Bank, We are currently residing in Hungary, Mr and Mrs. J and S Pal, with a joint account number [redacted]17. Given our age and the ongoing pandemic, we are seeking information on the procedures in the unfortunate event of one of us passing away, ensuring the full amount is accessible to the surviving spouse immediately. If there is an authorization form needed for this purpose, kindly forward it promptly for us to complete and sign. Please advise if a witness is required and if we can return the form electronically by scanner. Additionally, my wife Sonja Pal received a VISA debit card labeled 4[redacted] 1[redacted] valid until 05/22, with security code [redacted]. Subsequently, she encountered issues with the provided PIN, which was unresolved over the phone. Could she obtain a new PIN number for the card? Regards, J and S Pal

Hello, I discovered unauthorized activity on my PayPal account on 15th July, although I only noticed it on 25th July. The hacker added multiple gift card addresses and an unfamiliar credit card titled "st.george gold low rate visa credit card." I promptly reported this to PayPal administrators, who confirmed it as unauthorized and removed the card, restoring access to my account. I am concerned the hacker may have my personal information (name, address, personal identification number) and could have taken out a loan or obtained credit using my details. I kindly request you to investigate if there is any credit or credit card associated with a person named Atanas Androv, which is my name. If such credit exists, it is fraudulent, and I urge you to take appropriate action. I do not have an account with your bank, have never used your bank's services, do not reside in Australia, and have never visited there. I can provide more details if required, including the phone number added by the fraudster to my account, and screenshots of the unauthorized activity report.

Hello, I have a dormant account with your institution that needs updating. I recently moved and require assistance in withdrawing the funds from that account since my previous card is no longer valid. The ATM Card that ended in [redacted] expired on 31/05/17, which is the only reference I currently have. I still remember my PIN and have used the account post the expiry date of the card. Hello, I am currently abroad and my card was mistakenly blocked for security reasons. I believe this happened because I entered the wrong PIN during a transaction. As a result, I am unable to use my card. Additionally, I am unable to access my online banking as St George Bank requires a text code for verification, which I cannot receive due to using an international SIM card with a different phone number. I have attempted to contact the international support number without success. It would be greatly appreciated if St George Bank could reach out to me at +[redacted]80 to resolve this issue promptly. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Janet Barnett, and I am currently in Sweden. I am having trouble accessing my accounts because I am not receiving the code from the bank due to being overseas. I am concerned that my accounts might be blocked, which would impact how I make payments. I tried calling, but the wait time is long. It is essential for me to transfer money and manage direct debit bills. I hope for a prompt resolution. Janet Barnett. I am currently on a cruise ship, which adds to the complexity due to the time difference. Despite notifying the bank about my trip, I am experiencing issues with receiving codes. This situation is frustrating as I need to transfer funds for my cruise expenses. Janet.

Dear St. George Bank, I am writing to inquire about the recent limitations placed on in-game purchases for "Valorant" by Riot Games through your bank. As a long-time customer, I value the services you provide and seek clarification on this matter. When attempting to buy in-game currency for "Valorant," developed by Riot Games, I encountered restrictions. After contacting Riot Games' support, I was informed that the issue originates from the bank's side. I am interested in understanding the reasons behind this limitation, as it has affected players like me who enjoy the game. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response. Best regards, Benny

Hello, I wanted to share that I've faced significant financial challenges while between jobs. Currently, I'm diligently paying off my personal loan and credit card with your company. Unfortunately, I had to prioritize the personal loan over the credit card due to financial constraints. However, starting mid-August, I will begin a new job with a higher salary, allowing me to make additional payments on the credit card to prevent falling behind again. I'm aware of your attempts to reach me, but please note that I don't answer calls from unknown numbers due to numerous scam calls. Therefore, email communication works best for me given my work commitments. Your understanding during this difficult time is greatly valued. As a single mother working full-time to make ends meet, every bit matters. Account Details: Laura W. Vertigo Credit Card Ending in [redacted] Personal Loan: S207 [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] Feel free to contact me via email for any further inquiries. Your continued support and empathy mean a lot.

Dear Customer Service, I recently tried to pay my outstanding balance on my St. George Vertigo account. Unfortunately, when I sent my son-in-law with my Vertigo debit card to make the payment, he was turned away by an unhelpful staff member who claimed it was against policy. I am an elderly customer, and my son-in-law helps me manage my bills. Now, I am facing difficulties paying. When I called my bank for assistance, I couldn’t verify my identity due to incorrect answers to security questions. The whole experience has been frustrating, especially considering the challenges I face with in-person visits. I am disappointed with the customer service I received, and I hope for improvements in the future. I have even shared my experience on social media. Please consider offering better assistance to customers in similar situations. Kind regards, Margaret S.

Hello, I am currently traveling abroad and need to inform the bank about using my account in Vietnam to avoid any issues with my account being locked. Unfortunately, I tried to notify the bank online but encountered an issue with needing a code sent to my Australian phone number, which I can no longer access. Since I have switched to a Vietnamese SIM card that doesn't allow international calls, is it possible to inform the bank through email instead?
