I was in a car accident on August 10, [redacted]. A woman hit my car and left, causing $5,[redacted] worth of damage. I received a phone number from a witness, but when I tried to contact them, they didn't answer and their phone was disconnected. I needed the witness's address to claim the $5,[redacted] for the damage. The insurance company refused to pay because they claimed I caused the damage. I contacted Spokeo to get the witness's information, as they promised to find it based on the phone number provided. However, after paying $10 with my credit card, the name and address they provided (John N Smith, Castro Valley, CA [redacted]) turned out to be incorrect. Additionally, Spokeo charged me $24.95 without my consent. I want a refund for the incorrect information and the unauthorized charge. I will report this to the FBI if not resolved promptly. - J. I recently discovered an unexpected charge on my account dating back to March 27, [redacted], amounting to $29.70. Following a conversation with a representative, I was surprised to learn that I was supposedly a member, which I have no recollection of authorizing. To my dismay, upon reviewing my credit card history, I uncovered several unauthorized charges on 9/28/18, 3/31/18, 9/27/17, and 3/26/17, each for $29.70. My intention in utilizing the service was solely to locate Patricia Headen, and I did not intend to sign up for any membership. I kindly request a refund for the charges from the past four months or will proceed by contacting my credit card company for resolution. The experience of being enrolled in an ongoing payment plan without my consent is disheartening as I believe in fair and transparent service practices. I am grateful for your assistance in reaching out to Spokeo. The unauthorized charge will be taken off from my account. Initially, they were hesitant but when I requested to escalate the matter to a supervisor, the same representative quickly agreed to remove the charge. Thank you once more for your support. I had difficulty finding Spokeo's contact number earlier, but searching on Google with the query "how do I speak with Spokeo customer service" led me to your website. I truly appreciate your service.

I recently attempted to identify some unknown phone numbers that were labeled as spam by signing up on a website. After entering my payment details, I realized the information provided was the same as before, offering no specific details related to the phone numbers. Despite canceling the membership multiple times, I noticed recurring charges whenever I logged in, implying automatic renewal. I haven't utilized the service for months but found charges on 7/8 and 8/19 for $24.95 each. Since I received no benefit originally, I request a refund of $50. I tried using your site to reach someone with area code [redacted] and unfortunately fell victim to a scam. I lost $[redacted] and am a 67-year-old senior citizen. Your service only provided me with the location in Seattle, Washington. The scammers claim to be from team support, but stated they were in Dallas, TX which made me doubt their credibility as that area code is [redacted]. I used my debit card for your service just once and am dissatisfied with the outcome. I would like to cancel my subscription. The scammer's number is [redacted], and they identified themselves as James Fisher. If necessary, feel free to contact me at [redacted]. My email has been compromised, and I am awaiting a code from postal service to regain access. I cannot check my email at [redacted] My details are Terry Elmore residing at [redacted] Holliman Road, Oil City, LA, [redacted]. I have already paid $1.00 for a week trial with Spokeo. Due to issues with my TMJ joints, I am unable to do a video voice chat and can only text.
I was chatting with a representative named Kevin, but he could not understand my needs.
I received a free gift offer via email for taking a CVS survey and paid $6.00 for shipping and handling to claim it. After submitting the survey, I discovered I would be billed $79.95 monthly unless I cancelled. I emailed [redacted] to cancel, but the email bounced back.
I used Spokeo to find information on the company behind the email address. Although the results were ready, the page did not load.

I have recently encountered a deceptive practice while trying to claim a gift for participating in a CVS survey. After paying a $6.00 shipping fee, I discovered hidden terms that stated my credit card would be charged $79.95 monthly unless I canceled. Despite my efforts to cancel via email, the address provided seemed invalid. When seeking assistance from SPOKEO customer service, I found the experience unhelpful as the representative struggled to understand my issue. After facing multiple roadblocks, I am now looking for urgent help to cancel any association with this misleading company. My attempt to access the results of my payment through the provided email address was unsuccessful, leading to frustration. All I seek now is a resolution to disassociate myself from this unscrupulous company as soon as possible.

I am currently listed as "also known as Denise Prosise" in your records. My name has always been Denise Bruzzone since birth, and I have never used the last name Prosise. Recently, I have received multiple calls inquiring about a John Prosise, which I have ignored. Despite this, the callers persist in looking for "Denise Prosise" and even visited my home last week. This intrusion was distressing, and I clarified that I am not connected to John Prosise and my true last name is Bruzzone. I urgently request the removal of the name "Prosise" from any association with my name. Your prompt attention to this matter is highly appreciated. I was trying to look up a specific phone number and came across a free look-up service on Spokeo. After entering the phone number, I was surprised to discover a charge of $0.95 for the search. Although this is not free as advertised, I proceeded with the one-time fee but was then informed that I was signing up for a membership with monthly charges after the first week. This was not made clear in the initial listing or the previous forms, and I do not wish to be a member. I do not want to be enrolled automatically, especially with Spokeo. The information provided in the search listing and on the website was misleading. Please cancel my membership immediately and delete my credit card details.
