I recently renewed my magazine subscription in November, however, I noticed that I was charged twice due to being automatically enrolled in the renewal service. I never signed up for automatic renewals on anything and I am disappointed in Smithsonian for not being transparent about this practice. After contacting customer service to report the double charge, I was informed that one charge would be reversed, but it has not been done yet. During my recent call to follow up, I encountered an unhelpful representative who mentioned it may take up to a month to refund the extra charge. I made it clear that I do not authorize automatic charges to my credit card and find this unethical. Thank you, - F. Uknavage, Eugene, OR.

Hello, good afternoon. I am Argentine, living in Argentina, in the province of Mendoza. Every day I spend some time watching a TV channel that provides me with information about history, geography, biographies of important people, inventions, and lets me explore different regions of the world.
I must respectfully express that it bothers me greatly that everything that is said and produced seems to appropriate the term "MADE IN AMERICA." And no. I am also AMERICAN. ARGENTINIAN FROM SOUTH AMERICA, while you are from the UNITED STATES OF NORTH AMERICA.
I hope someone can help spread awareness and change this habit, which always seems to come across with a hint of arrogance. I look forward to a response and hope that my request/opinion reaches someone influential.
