This is my second visit to this Safeway location. I only returned because of its convenience to me. If there was another nearby grocery store option, I would choose it over this Safeway. I no longer wish to shop here because it seems like either the manager or assistant manager, I am uncertain of their role, has an issue with me. During my last visit, they made me feel so uncomfortable that I ended up putting everything back and leaving. Despite witnessing me doing so, the manager still questioned me about it at the door. I feel uneasy being constantly followed and asked if I need help in every aisle, specifically targeted during my shopping trips. Additionally, having someone monitor my movements and questioning how long I will be in the store has made my shopping experience there unpleasant.

I had an experience at the Safeway located at [redacted] Sonoma Mountain Parkway in Petaluma, CA. In mid-November, I visited to order a Thanksgiving meal that was advertised, but it was a challenge as nobody appeared to be aware of the promotion. Despite eventually placing an order, the meal was missing green beans and had extra mashed potatoes when I picked it up for Thanksgiving. Recently, on December 6th, I attempted to order a Christmas meal at the same location. However, a clerk informed me it was too early to order, which seemed odd given the date. They were uncertain when orders would begin. When I asked to speak with the deli manager, I was told he leaves at 2 P.M. It felt like the clerk was being untruthful and uninterested in helping. I then visited the Safeway at [redacted] S. McDowell in Petaluma, where the clerk was friendly and informed me they had been taking Christmas orders for a while. This Safeway provided a much smoother experience, unlike the Sonoma Mountain location, which appears disorganized and lacking proper management.

I encountered issues submitting an online complaint form. I reside in Lynden, WA, and shopping at the Safeway there makes me uncomfortable due to many individuals not wearing masks. In contrast, the larger Safeway in Bellingham, WA, has all customers masked. I prefer not to commute and spend $[redacted]-$[redacted] monthly at your stores. Today, we purchased chicken tenders, potato wedges, and coleslaw in a "pick-a three" hot meal from Safeway on Hawthorne Blvd. in Portland, Oregon. Unfortunately, upon arriving home, the chicken tenders were extremely hard and dry, making them inedible. Even trying to remove the batter proved difficult as the chicken stuck to it like dry string. Upon contacting the deli department and speaking with 'Deanna,' we were informed that the items had "just been cooked," which seems implausible given their condition. Moving forward, I will inquire about the freshness of hot foods before purchasing. It's disappointing to have spent $6.99 on such unappetizing food.

I reviewed the new weekly ad last week and selected the deals I wanted. During checkout, I noticed I wasn't receiving most of those deals. This seems to happen frequently. At this point, I'm starting to think it's not worth using your apps for deals that I won't receive. Just wanted to share my dissatisfaction as a now unhappy and potentially former customer. Dealing with these issues is not how I want to spend my time.

I am reaching out regarding the pharmacy at Safeway in Sandy, Oregon. I've been attempting to contact them by phone since 10 AM this morning without success. It is now 11:40 AM, and I have two prescriptions due today that I am unable to check on due to the pharmacy's unavailability over the phone. Despite assurances from Safeway's main desk that the pharmacy is open and the phones are working, I was informed that there is only one floating pharmacist on duty today, with no counter or technician help. This poses a challenge as I rely on these medications. This staffing issue may impact the service quality, especially considering the nearby Walgreens and Fred Meyer have more availability. I've been a loyal customer at Safeway Pharmacy for years and have found the primary pharmacists to be very helpful. Yesterday while visiting your store in Lamar, Colorado (zip code [redacted]), I encountered a situation that was quite concerning. As I walked around the store selecting my items, I witnessed two employees engaging in inappropriate behavior. The female employee grabbed the male employee's private parts, and they exchanged vulgar language indicating they wanted to engage in sexual activities. This behavior was highly inappropriate, especially since my daughter was with me at the time. I believe the male employee involved is Isaac L., possibly a lower-level manager, and the female employee is Amy B. I was turned away at checkout as they refused to swipe my EBT card. I had $75 worth of groceries and had to shop twice in one day, wasting over 2 hours. This recurring issue is frustrating as hand keying an EBT card is allowed. The lack of proper training for cashiers is evident, and I am disappointed in the poor customer service provided by the front end manager/store director. I recall better service from Albertsons before Safeway took over. I plan to seek legal action as this problem persists. I expect a prompt call back from the appropriate person.

The overall experience has been positive with reasonable prices, well-organized products, and mostly friendly staff. However, a negative encounter occurred yesterday that has made me reconsider returning. The store manager (Elliot, though uncertain as he refused to provide his company name) was abrupt and unclear about an egg promotion, lacking proper signage for customers and staff. His lack of explanation and impoliteness was off-putting, with no apology for the confusion caused. I recommend additional customer service training for this manager to avoid similar incidents. I also felt there may have been racial discrimination due to my Asian descent. A comparison was made when my friend of a different background made a similar purchase without issue or limits. This inconsistency in treatment leads me to believe there may be poor management practices or communication gaps within the store. Clear signage for promotions and purchase limitations, as seen in other stores, could prevent misunderstandings. I am considering reporting this to the BC Human Rights Clinic to avoid such incidents in the future. It is my hope that the store improves its customer service, management, and ensures fair treatment for all customers.

Hello Cameron, I am Adam Camara[redacted] from Safeway [redacted]. I wanted to express my thoughts about the situation. My time at Safeway Montclair has been positive, and I regret my actions. I wasn't trying to engage with shoplifters; I simply picked up the groceries they dropped. I believe a first warning after almost three years of good service would have been fairer than losing my job abruptly. Throughout my tenure, I have taken on extra responsibilities and received commendations for my dedication and customer service. I value my position at Safeway and hope for a chance to rectify this. I recently started at Safeway and was given various tasks on Microsoft Workspace. However, when I tried to access them, I was redirected to an Albertsons login page asking for an employee number or a @safeway.com user login. I attempted different combinations with the employee number provided in the emails, my personal email, and various passwords but was unsuccessful due to not having a designated account. Despite trying to reset my password and unlock the account through Albertsons' page using the ID number, the process led to security questions for a password reset, which did not resolve the issue. It instructed me to contact a system administrator, but as all Safeway emails are automated, I'm unsure how to proceed.

I recently visited the Gresham store and spent over $[redacted] on groceries. Despite waiting in a long line, things took a frustrating turn when I was informed it was for 15 items or less. I moved to another open lane but was subsequently told it was closing, leaving me and my family to navigate back to the original line. This back and forth took about an hour, causing distress to my hungry and tired grandson. The lack of assistance and rudeness from the staff was appalling. This experience has left me deeply disappointed, and I've decided to avoid this store in the future. It's unfortunate as it's the closest one to me, but I'll make the extra effort to go to a different location from now on.

I'm interested in having my Safeway card include access to digital coupon prices. It can be challenging for older individuals to navigate downloading an app and using it to shop and scan digital coupons. This practice seems particularly unwelcoming to older and less tech-savvy shoppers. I believe relying solely on cards should suffice, without the need for multiple cards or apps to shop for groceries on a phone. While I've managed to adapt to using the cards, I feel they should be adequate for accessing all offers. It's frustrating that obtaining the discounts offered to tech-savvy individuals is so complicated. It feels like a form of discrimination against elderly customers and those less familiar with technology. I urge Safeway to rethink the exclusivity of digital coupons and extend the same benefits to all Safeway cardholders.

I recently purchased the broccoli crunch salad from the Safeway on Forest Ave in Pacific Grove, CA as a vegetarian. However, I was disappointed to find three pieces of rubbery substance, which upon closer inspection seemed to be some kind of smoked animal skin, possibly pig. The texture and smell were quite unpleasant and made me feel nauseous. I believe there should be policies in place for cleaning equipment before and after processing meat products to maintain food handling and cleanliness standards. Even though the salad was not advertised as vegetarian, based on the ingredients list, it should have been. This experience has led me to decide not to shop at Safeway again.

Today at 12:30pm, I visited the Lake Oswego Safeway to purchase lunch using my EBT SNAP food card. Unfortunately, the card stopped scanning, a problem I haven't had at other Safeway locations. This experience was newfound to me. It can be challenging to rely on public assistance, and I felt embarrassed asking the clerk to manually input my card numbers. The clerk sought the supervisor's help, but she declined to assist and made a scene, ultimately not allowing me to use my card. This left me feeling extremely humiliated, especially with many people around. Thankfully, a kind lady in the next aisle paid for my food, restoring my faith in humanity. The manager's dismissive attitude towards my situation only added to my distress. It was a disheartening encounter, feeling judged and demeaned due to being on assistance.

I'm a 67-year-old who visited the Liberty Lake store pharmacy for the Moderna Covid booster. Despite the walk-in sign, an employee directed me to stand on the left side of the barrier, leaving me no choice but to stand for 30 minutes. Despite requesting the booster, the employee insisted I needed an online appointment. I found her attitude rude and disrespectful. I suffer from severe Arthritis and felt discriminated against due to my age and lack of computer skills. I've lodged a complaint with the store manager, who didn't offer a satisfactory resolution. The unclear signage at the Safeway Pharmacy in Liberty Lake should specify whether walk-ins are solely for flu shots.

I have had a negative experience at the grocery store in Lacey, Washington. The self-proclaimed manager, Ronnie, has been rude and disrespectful to me and other customers. He yelled and cursed at me for taking too long in the restroom, not understanding my medical conditions like IBS and Chron's disease. He even made inappropriate comments about my girlfriend's appearance. I was unjustly banned from the store without signing any paperwork. This treatment is unacceptable, and I will be contacting a lawyer. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Subject: Request for Refund I am seeking a refund for my recent order # [redacted]3 under the name Wilson. I am disappointed to have been charged for products I did not order. I had clearly stated that if the items I requested were unavailable, I should be refunded promptly. It is frustrating to receive different items, be charged more than my original order, and not even get what I wanted. I was in the middle of moving from [redacted] S 22nd Ave with 5 vehicles filled with my possessions. There was a lady living in her car nearby who offered to assist me until my brother could arrive to help. I asked the night manager at Safeway if it was okay to park my vehicles farther from the store, explaining my need for help, and was given permission. However, at 4:30 am, the Yakima police arrived, instructing me to move my vehicles or they would be towed. Despite explaining my situation, I was told I had until noon to relocate them or they would be towed. The following day, two of my vehicles were towed while I was unloading my car at a new shop. I believe Safeway is at fault for this since I had permission to park there. I have contacted Safeway multiple times but have not received a response.
