I am having an issue with Root Insurance Company. After being insured with them for two months, they increased my rates without my consent. Despite their policy to assume non-acknowledgment as disinterest and to end the insurance if you don't accept the new terms, they continued to pester me post my non-response. When I finally canceled my policy and switched to a new company, Root unexpectedly charged me $[redacted] stating I owed them. I have communicated my cancellation clearly, but they still billed me. This charge has left my account in the negative, and I demand a refund by the end of the day tomorrow. I have repeatedly informed them of their error, and if they fail to rectify it, I will have no choice but to involve legal counsel.

I assisted my son in creating an account on July 16, [redacted]. I paid $[redacted] for his 6-month premium using my credit card. Sadly, he passed away on August 7, [redacted], after only driving for 3 weeks. I have been trying to reach customer service to cancel the policy and refund the amount to assist with the arrangements.
