Upon my arrival in LAX, I experienced a delay and unfortunately faced issues with the shuttle service provided by the rental car agency. Despite waiting for 40 minutes without the shuttle showing up, my call to their general line only extended my wait time. This delay ultimately caused me to be late for a scheduled event and forced me to book a last-minute car with a different company, in this case, Fox Rental Car. The lack of timely service led to inconvenience and a sense of vulnerability due to the late hours. Hence, I am requesting a refund for the unfulfilled service provided. The situation not only inconvenienced me but also compromised my safety while waiting. I look forward to resolving this matter promptly.

Dear Rentalcars.com Team, I am reaching out regarding a recent car rental booking under reservation number [redacted]13. An amount of €[redacted].38 was deducted from my Mastercard on 7th September [redacted]. Upon arrival at Varna airport, we were denied the vehicle citing that my credit card was not valid for the required duration, despite the rental only being until the 1st November [redacted], while the card is valid until December [redacted]. Even offering a security deposit through my wife's Mastercard, which has a longer validity, was not accepted. There seems to be no explanation in your insurance terms for this course of action. As a result, we had to rent a significantly more expensive car from another company using the same credit card, resulting in substantial delays. Initially, we contacted EasyRentBulgaria, who redirected us to you, claiming non-involvement in the matter. Hello, I have been trying to contact you by phone daily since returning from Palermo, but I have not been successful. During my trip to Palermo from September 30 to October 7 with Volotea, I attempted to book a car through your site after not receiving confirmation from the initial reservation. Although I received an email confirmation in Spanish, I was unable to retrieve the voucher despite multiple attempts. After contacting Volotea, I was informed that the initial reservation did not go through, prompting me to make a new reservation on your site, which was successful. However, upon picking up the car from Locauto in Palermo, I was informed by an Ecovia employee that the first car was still reserved for me, despite explaining the situation. They proceeded to charge me [redacted] euros, assuring me that I would be refunded by you afterward. This transaction was made under my husband's name, Eric Steunou. I need to file a complaint regarding the car rentals with SICILIA BY CAR. On November 29, I booked two cars for rental, detailed in the emails provided. Despite the reservation stating a 6:00 p.m. pickup time, there was confusion over the website showing 10:00 a.m. pickup. The staff at Sicilia BY Car demanded an extra €33 per car for the later pickup time upon our arrival in Bologna, displaying unfriendly behavior and dismissing our explanations. Additionally, the main driver of the second vehicle lacked a credit card, leading to a refusal to switch drivers without initiating a new rental agreement. Despite attempts to resolve the issue with Rentalcar and Sicilia BY Car, we were forced to rent a 9-seater vehicle from AVIS for €[redacted] in addition to the initial Rentalcar payment.

Ref #[redacted]77: During my recent flight delay from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale, I encountered issues picking up my rental car with subcontractor Easirent. Despite being closed upon my arrival, no assistance was available. In need of immediate transportation, I quickly reserved a car through Avis. I kindly request a refund of $[redacted].14, the amount I paid for the unused Easirent rental. The lack of communication regarding their closure past 11 pm led to this inconvenience. Hello, I contacted rentalcars.com to reserve a car in my son's name, but on the day of the booking, only an Audi A5 was available at Stratford International Station. Despite repeatedly mentioning my son's age of 21 as the main driver during the booking process, we were surprised at Sixt when they informed us he needed to be 25 to pick up the higher performance car. This crucial age requirement was not communicated to us by rentalcars.com. When I requested a refund due to this issue, I was informed that since I did not cancel the booking, a refund could not be processed. I am seeking a refund of approximately £[redacted]. Hello, We made a car reservation for 12.12 - 19.12, paying with our Visa card online. My husband went to pick up the car, but encountered issues despite having all necessary documents and proof of payment. The Visa used was in my name, which shouldn't have been an issue. The staff's unprofessionalism and rudeness added stress as my husband was left without a car. We also purchased extra insurance. Reservation Number: [redacted]08 Tuzla. I am sharing my experience with renting a Ford Fusion or similar car from Thrifty under the name of Richard A. Booking Reference: 195H-3I3X-INS, Booking Number: [redacted]13. I paid a total of $[redacted].47 expecting to pick up the car, but upon arrival, I was informed that there were no cars available and that I would have to wait as others had been waiting for 2 to 3 days. Given that I cannot wait that long as I don't have a trip to continue, I was advised to check availability with other agencies. I request a refund for the inconvenience faced. I am sharing my experience with Thrifty regarding the rental of a Ford Fusion or similar car under the name of Richard A. I had paid $[redacted].47 for booking reference 195H-3I3X-INS and booking number [redacted]13. When I arrived to pick up the car, there were no cars available, and I was told there was a 2-3 day waitlist. I cannot wait that long as my trip does not allow for delays. I contacted the airport and they advised me to seek a refund through Thrifty due to the inconvenience. I have a new phone number, which is +1 [redacted]. Please reach out to me as soon as possible. The rental was supposed to start on December 27, [redacted], and end on January 3, [redacted].

I made a car reservation to pick up on the 20th at Redmond Airport (RDM) for a drop-off on the 26th. I received a reminder on the 24th to return it on the same day at 10 AM, which was a mistake as my return date should be the 26th. After extending it to the 29th due to a family emergency, I found out my deposit was used to cover the previous extension to the 26th. Now, I need to extend it further to the 30th or at least until Tuesday. I have a pending check that will clear by then. I faced challenges trying to reach the car rental customer service to resolve this issue, and when I finally did, I was met with unhelpful responses and was told by a representative that my matter was too insignificant for a supervisor to address. Good morning, last week I made a booking, and since the driver who was supposed to pick up the car did not show up at Malpensa airport due to illness, I had to make another booking under my name and pay again. I traveled to Thessaloniki Airport in Greece on December 25, [redacted], to pick up a rental car at 9 am. I waited from 8:20 am to 11:00 am, but no one showed up. After contacting the rental company, they informed me that they had no available cars. I had already been charged in advance for the rental. Now, I am requesting a refund as I did not receive the car. The rental company directed me to seek a refund from the booking website. However, after reaching out to the website, I have not received a response yet.

I rented a vehicle from Rent a Car at Strasbourg train station from 02/01/[redacted] to 07/01/[redacted] with reservation number [redacted]40 through your platform. While using the vehicle, I noticed it was unstable. Upon finding a severely deflated tire, I took it to a tire specialist who informed me that both rear tires were very worn and irreparable, causing the vehicle to drift. The mechanic confirmed it was dangerous to drive and I connected him to the manager of the Strasbourg station (6 Boulevard de Metz) who acknowledged the issue. Unfortunately, I couldn't swap the vehicle as it was 24 hours before returning it, and I couldn't go to Strasbourg to exchange it at that time. Therefore, I couldn't use the rental for at least 24 hours. Luckily, I didn't take long trips to avoid accidents. When I returned the vehicle on 07/01, the manager understood the problem and severity. He referred me to you to file for compensation as I rented through Rentalcars and not directly from Rent a Car. He is waiting for you to send him this case promptly. Thank you for your prompt assistance.

I booked a car through rentalcars at Manchester airport, but it was not provided to me. The service I received was very poor. Could you please provide me with the email address or contact number of the manager so I can file a complaint? I did not receive a car or a refund. Today when I called, I was denied a refund. I had a reservation at Sydney Airport today with Europcar, reservation number [redacted]40. I had used my driver's license with Europcar in Australia before, but the employee wouldn't accept it this time. I had to cancel the reservation, but it wasn't done properly. I had to rent from another company at a higher price. I was told by a colleague that Europcar will issue a credit through rentalscar.com within 5 days. I couldn't reach the employee at Europcar directly. I have a booking through rentalscar.com in Melbourne on 20/02 and would like confirmation soon.

Good afternoon. I applied for a vehicle online and paid €43 on Friday, March 3rd. When I went to pick up the vehicle, I was told by the lady working there that I needed to leave a deposit of €[redacted], something I didn't have and was not aware of when I paid for the service. I requested a refund, and she informed me that I wouldn't get a refund unless I paid another day and left the €[redacted] as a deposit. I find this unacceptable and illegal not to refund me, as I am neither getting my money back nor the car. I kindly ask for a refund to be processed back to my account.

Hello, I rented a car online for my trip to Madrid. Due to personal reasons, I had to cancel my trip and therefore the car rental. I was charged cancellation fees for reservation #[redacted]62, even though the offer stated cancellation was free (see attachment). Can you please explain why this happened? Is the offer misleading? I'm attempting to retrieve my reservation number. My credit card has been charged by my card issuer, but my reservation didn't process on your site. I consistently receive errors about incorrect details. When I try to rectify them, the site prompts me for a reservation number, which I don't possess. When I click on "forgot reservation number," I am instructed to input my email address for it to be sent there. Unfortunately, I am yet to receive it in my inbox.

On March 6, [redacted], Beatriz Sanmarful booked a car for July [redacted] in Santiago de Compostela. Unfortunately, my husband, Kentaro Onishi, received an email from Rental Cars stating that the initial booking did not go through. Following this, on March 13, [redacted], Beatriz Sanmarful rebooked the car. However, we recently noticed that we were charged twice for this booking, as reflected on the Visa bill. We are requesting to cancel the booking made on March 13, [redacted], amounting to [redacted].85 Swiss Francs. The booking reference number for this transaction is [redacted]47. Our booking number is [redacted]09. We were unable to pick up the car at Tenerife South Airport on April 1 due to long queues. Despite being asked to return at 5:00 p.m., we were turned away after waiting for an hour. We had to take a taxi to our hotel and upon contacting Top Cars Rental, they mentioned the cancellation and advised us to reach out for a refund. We believe the mix-up was due to poor organization at the airport, as there should be separate counters for reservations and walk-ins, especially during the busy tourist season.
