I purchased a PBS Kids tablet from Walmart in April [redacted]. This kids tablet came preloaded with games. Approximately 6 weeks ago, the screen went black and it stopped charging. Yesterday, I observed that the tablet had separated. Today, upon closer inspection, I noticed a silver packet that seemed to be puffed out, potentially the battery. I am concerned if this is a safety risk or if it could lead to an explosion, especially as there are wires connected to it.

My kids got a PBSKids tablet for Christmas. Today, one of them is stuck on the loading screen with a flashing volume control icon at the bottom. I can't access the power/restart option, but the tablet shuts down and restarts when I hold the power button. I've tried the reset button on the back, but it just goes back to the same screen with the PBS Kids welcome voice. I don't think it was dropped, scratched, cracked, or wet. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? I'm unsure about the warranty since it was a gift, and I can't afford to purchase a new one. Thank you.

I recently received 2 PBS Kid tablets for my kids. One of them stopped working after the battery died and despite charging it to 66%, it is stuck on the start-up screen. I attempted to reboot and factory reset it but nothing has worked so far. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps, including using the reset button at the back, but the tablet remains unresponsive. Any additional guidance on how to either power it on or perform a factory reset would be greatly appreciated before I consider returning it.

My daughter received a PBS Kids tablet for Christmas. Unfortunately, she dropped it three days later, and the screen cracked despite having the bumper on. Since March, the tablet hasn't turned on at all, even when I try to charge it. This tablet was the last gift from her grandmother before she passed away on 12-21, so it holds sentimental value. I wanted to return it to Walmart, but we couldn't find the receipt before COVID-19 restrictions prevented us from going out. I really just want to get the tablet fixed or replaced for my daughter. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am experiencing issues setting up my daughter's PBS Kids Playtime Pad. Initially, it displayed a black screen prompting me to enter my password with no keypad to input it. After attempting a factory reset, it now requests a connection to wifi, a step I didn't have to take during the initial setup. Unfortunately, I live in an area with poor wifi and rely on offline games for entertainment. When trying to connect to my laptop's internet service, the SSID prompt disappears too quickly to enter more than two letters. I simply want to reconfigure the device without concern for lost games or images, as replacing the tablet is not financially feasible.

I recently purchased a new PBS children's tablet, which was easy to set up and worked well initially. However, after a week of use, the tablet has become stuck on a white screen displaying "powered by Android" with a small Android symbol. Additionally, there is an image of the tablet with three characters on the screen above. I was advised to restart the tablet by holding the volume up and down buttons simultaneously with the power button. Unfortunately, this only leads to a black screen displaying an Android figure lying on its back with a red exclamation mark inside a triangle. I also attempted to let the tablet run out of power and recharge it, but it continues to display the same issue. I am unsure of what steps to take to resolve this problem. It is disappointing as the tablet initially seemed promising for my child, and I am starting to regret my purchase.

My PBS Kids tablet is stuck on the boot-up screen displaying the image of the tablet and "Powered by Android." I attempted to reset it by pressing various combinations of the power button and volume buttons without success. Pressing these buttons only turns the tablet on or off. I hope to find a solution to fix this issue at home. If necessary, I am also open to sending it for repairs if needed.

I bought two PBS Kids tablets, and for the past six days (since Christmas), we have been using them. On the second day, we began receiving a "Google has stopped" message, initially appearing once or twice a day but later occurring every minute. To address this, I cleared the cache and force closed both tablets. Now, one is functioning properly, but the second one is stuck on the powered-up Android screen. It also displays the command and charging screen but does not progress beyond that point.

I purchased two PBS tablets in November for my daughters for Christmas. They are part of the batch manufactured in August [redacted]. I suspect there are some software issues. The first tablet keeps disabling the PBS mode, and not all preloaded apps were installed as advertised. I am unable to access the preloaded songs/videos. The second tablet doesn't allow me to set it up. It crashes and restarts after unlocking the screen every time. I attempted a hard reset as suggested online, but it only shows "no command." Unfortunately, my kids can't use the tablets. I wanted to return them, but the boxes were destroyed when they were opened on Christmas day. I reached out to the company via email twice for assistance, but I have not received a response yet.

Hello, I purchased a Playtime Pad 2.0 in September for my son. Unfortunately, after about two weeks of use, it locked up and now only shows the startup page without progressing further. I have tried various troubleshooting methods like letting the battery drain, recharging, and using the reset button with no success. I attempted to exchange it at Walmart but was told it was past the return period. I just wanted a device for my son to watch cartoons during car rides. I am open to either sending it for repair, exchange, or even following steps to fix it myself. Paying $86.70 for a device used for only two weeks is disappointing. Serial Number: NS PBSKD[redacted][redacted].

I purchased a PBS Android Tablet for my 2-year-old, but it froze and glitched after only a week of use. Despite resetting it multiple times, the issues persist. I am frustrated as my child has barely used the tablet, and I want a full refund for this brand new device, not a replacement. I bought it at Walmart in October [redacted], but my child received it in January [redacted]. Walmart's return policy only allows returns within 30 days after Christmas, even with a receipt. I feel deceived by the product's claim to be "The Best Kid Tablet" and am dissatisfied with the entire experience. I am seeking a refund of the full purchase price.

I have 5 PBS Kids Playtime tablets. Two of them were ordered online from Walmart, but they required activation codes as there was a factory error with them. Despite receiving replacements, they still have the same issue. The other three tablets have their own problems, including one getting stuck in playtime mode, another not charging properly, and the last one not staying charged and indicating a battery issue. Due to the ongoing troubles, I am requesting 3 child-proof tablets that are not PBS Kids and a refund for the other 2. These tablets are crucial for my children, one of whom has autism and the other a speech issue. I have been attempting to resolve these problems since April [redacted] and have faced difficulty getting proper assistance, leading to immense disappointment. I can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you.

My son's PBS Kids tablet is stuck on the "Powered by Android" screen. I have tried all the resetting and restarting options available. I used the reset button on the back to enter recovery mode, cleared the cache, factory reset the device, and tried all the available options in recovery mode. Unfortunately, it keeps getting stuck on the "Powered by Android" screen and does not progress further.
