I used TurboTax to file my Form OK511NR electronically on February 18. Shortly after, I received an email stating that the submission was rejected due to a missing value for line 7 regarding Railroad retirement benefits on Schedule 511NR-B. Despite both values being zeros on the form, TurboTax is unsure how to proceed. The form advises against sending a paper copy since the e-file was already submitted. I am seeking guidance on how to resolve this issue and receive my refund promptly.

As a teacher, I encountered a tax issue. I owe $[redacted] this year, which I can't pay all at once. I remember filing for the past two years with a total of around $[redacted], but the tax office has no record of my filings. They mentioned a potential hold on my teaching license, which I urgently need. To address this, I plan to pay $50 per month and clear the balance by summer's end. However, I'm unsure where I filed my taxes previously. I need to resolve this before my license renewal deadline in June. Any advice on locating past tax filings would be greatly appreciated.

Jackson Hewitt has been handling my taxes for over ten years. I received a letter at the start of this year stating that I owe from [redacted]. I arranged a payment plan and have paid the initial amount owed. Currently, I am dealing with interest and penalties. I sent a letter requesting these fees to be waived and made an additional payment towards them. I am unsure if my letter has been received and reviewed before the next payment is due. Jackson Hewitt, whom I trust for my taxes, did not alert me to any outstanding amount for the past 8 or 9 years. While they couldn't provide a clear explanation, they acknowledged the situation was perplexing as I could have settled the debt within a 5-year period. I am feeling frustrated with Jackson Hewitt. Although my tax situation is uncomplicated and I could manage it for free at the library, I choose to invest in their services for peace of mind. I understand this is my choice, yet I am eager to know if my letter has been acknowledged and if my request has been reviewed. Thank you.

I am Franklin L. Oliver. I am owed money by the State of Oklahoma for the years [redacted] and [redacted]. The amount owed for [redacted] is $[redacted] and for [redacted] it is $[redacted]. During my communication with a representative, I explained that the money being withheld is from a trust as I am a non-resident of Oklahoma. I have sent in the necessary documents such as the 513NR Oklahoma Schedule K1 and a Beneficiary Share of Royalty, which clearly indicate the source of the withholding. Despite this, I was asked to provide a [redacted] Misc, which I did. However, I recently received a notice from Harris And Harris Collection agency claiming I owe the state $89.94 for [redacted] and later a notice for $[redacted].00 for [redacted]. I have checked my [redacted] and [redacted] returns where Oklahoma owed me money but the refunds were smaller. I am concerned about my credit rating being affected by these inaccuracies and expect the state to address this issue promptly and accurately. If there are additional steps required from my end to resolve these discrepancies and receive my owed amount of $[redacted].00, please inform me promptly for a resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello, I am reaching out from a company that sold a building to a resident in Oklahoma. The farm, owned by six brothers, purchased the building for $80,[redacted]. During the transaction, a sales tax exemption certificate was provided under one brother's name, whereas another brother made the purchase. This discrepancy led us to charge and remit the sales tax to the state of Oklahoma. The farm owners wish for us to refund the sales tax, but we require approval from Oklahoma to allow the exemption for this specific case before proceeding. The sales tax amount in question is approximately $8,[redacted] and was initially paid using the Company credit card. Should we proceed with a refund, an amended sales tax return will be necessary. If you need to discuss this matter further, feel free to contact me at [redacted] ext [redacted]. Thank you, Daryl LaFiura - Engineering Services and Products Company, South Windsor, CT.

I recently renewed my car's registration and mistakenly placed the decal on my USAF Retired license plate instead of the regular one. I am unsure why two license plates are mandated and would like to rectify this error. It would be beneficial if Oklahoma followed the example of other states by requiring just one license plate per vehicle. - Leon S., Choctaw

My name is Bruce Williams. We paid our taxes on time through our tax guy using a credit card. The tax commission has not received the payment, causing us to incur interest and penalties. Our bank confirmed no payment was debited. Our tax guy claims he processed it correctly but acknowledges his oversight as he used the same card for his fees, which went through. We accept our responsibility to ensure payments are made and will be more vigilant in the future. We now owe $[redacted].82 and seek leniency on the accrued charges. We hope for a reduction but cannot specify an amount. We believe the confusion was due to trusting our tax guy. We are unsure how to proceed and if calling would be more effective. Seeking assistance on reducing the penalties would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Bruce Williams

I visited The Village Tag Agency located at [redacted] N. May Ave. in Oklahoma City, OK [redacted], at phone number [redacted]. They are charging customers $20 for appointments to renew their driver's licenses and new IDs. When I was there, there were four staff members serving one customer. They insisted on appointments for renewals, adding a $20 fee. A young man paid $40 for appointments for himself and his wife. This seems unfair. I've spoken to others in the area who had similar experiences. One lady mentioned reporting it, but I'm unsure to whom. I contacted the police, who directed me elsewhere. It appears that this agency is profiting in an unjust manner.

We received another tax notice for the second time in two years on our business return. Last year, we followed the instructions given by the office to report our passthrough withholding properly to prevent receiving a notice, but unfortunately, we received one again. I tried calling the office to clarify the situation and was put on hold from 9:30 am until I got disconnected a few minutes after 1 pm. Is there a fax number available where I can send all of my information to prevent spending another four hours on hold?

Regarding Permit Request # 1-[redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted], I am a Texas cattle ranch owner. I submitted an Agriculture Exception Permit application via email to buy tax-free supplies in Oklahoma for my ranch. However, I missed attaching the required FSA Form 156EZ. Please provide me with the email address where I can send the FSA Form 156EZ for the aforementioned application. Thank you

Tax Commission experiences with refund cards have been disappointing. After spending an hour and a half on hold, I finally spoke to Canary. She promised a callback that ended up being unhelpful. I contacted the bank that issued the cards, but they claim they are not responsible for the refund cards beyond the number provided on them. This situation has been frustrating and unproductive. I am seeking prompt resolution to this issue.

Hello, my name is Randolph Stewart. I e-filed my taxes on February 13th. I submitted my [redacted] as proof of identity along with my driver's license, void check, and social security card. However, it is now March 14th, and I have yet to receive my refund from the state of Oklahoma. I depend on this money to purchase medication, pay rent, and buy food. This delay is unexpected and concerning. I kindly request an investigation into the reason for the delay. Thank you for your assistance.

On February 23, [redacted], we electronically filed our Oklahoma Tax Return along with our Federal Return for the [redacted] calendar year. Upon immediate confirmation of receipt, we were informed that our Oklahoma overpayment refund could be processed in as little as four days. However, it has now been 75 days since filing, and despite multiple phone calls, the only explanation provided is that an error occurred during data entry and we must wait for corrections. This response from the Oklahoma Tax Commission, while somewhat understandable, lacks the level of accountability and urgency that I have come to expect during my 66 years in the workforce. We are simply seeking the $1,[redacted] refund that was scheduled to be deposited into our account. James T. Booher and JoAnn C. Booher
