I just watched the last four games with the Red Sox and I have to say, there seemed to be a lack of hitting, poor pitching, and a noticeable absence of enthusiasm. I remember the good old days with players like Casey Stengal, Reynolds, Scooter, Yogi, Mickey, Whitey, Clipper, and many more. Back then, they weren't making millions like today's players, but rather thousands (with Clipper maxing out at $[redacted],[redacted]). How can a Manager leave a pitcher in the game after walking 2, then 3, and the first pitch to JD was a fastball? The result was exactly as expected... a line double to center. JD should send Chapman an autographed ball for that gift. At 81 years old, born in the Adirondacks, retired from the USAF, and now living in Louisiana, I believe George would have fired "Boone" and brought in a new Manager. It feels like this season is lost, so maybe it's time to start looking forward to next year. As an old fan, I'm starting to think about the Astros to redeem my faith!

It is disappointing to see the Yankees receive strong support and financial backing, only to be embarrassed in Boston. The misplays, poor relief pitching, and lackadaisical performance from the second baseman were evident. While it's reasonable for the ace to have an off day, it's essential for other players to step up. The team has talented hitters, but the struggling pitching staff, due to lack of investment in quality pitchers, has put them 9 1/2 games behind. Boston's victory over the Yankees was humiliating. As a devoted fan, I had high hopes for the team to win the World Series, but it seems unlikely now.

Hello, my name is Cheryl McGlunchey from Dutchess County. I am reaching out for assistance in saving our local no-kill animal shelter in Beacon, NY. It is heartbreaking to see it at risk of closing soon. They are organizing events to raise funds and are asking the community for volunteers. While many are involved, it never seems to be enough to help these animals who often find their only home there. There have been discounted or free adoptions to ensure these lovely animals find forever homes. I am seeking help to organize an event with the Yankees to raise more awareness of the importance of helping our furry friends. Even if you cannot volunteer, any donation of much-needed items, food, or medical supplies would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping for some ideas to keep the doors of the Beacon Animal Shelter open. Please assist in any way you can. Thank you, Cheryl ([redacted])

I am reaching out on behalf of my son-in-law, Captain John Murtagh, a US Marine currently deployed in Afghanistan. I would like to nominate him to be honored as the "Veteran of the Day" at an upcoming Yankee game in August. John has served with the United States Marine Corps for 7 years and is due to return to the US in May. As a special birthday gift, I have purchased tickets for the August 3 game against Boston for John, who is a graduate of Boston College and a devoted Yankees fan. If more information is needed, please let me know. John would be thrilled to be honored at a game upon his return. Thank you, Laurie Koppe

To whom it may concern, I attended the game last night and experienced a distressing incident due to a misunderstanding. In short, the teenagers behind us behaved inappropriately by yelling, throwing food, and eventually splashing beer on me. Despite repeatedly asking them to stop, the situation escalated. To my surprise, a staff member forcefully escorted my friend and me out of the venue. I felt unjustly treated and endured physical harm during the ordeal. Despite my requests to locate my non-English-speaking friend's uncle, who was also at the game, we were not assisted. It took us hours to reunite with him. I am deeply upset by the actions of the staff member, who not only manhandled me but also used disrespectful language. Being a devoted Yankee fan and a frequent attendee, this incident shocked me. I am considering legal action if this matter is not addressed promptly. Such mistreatment is unacceptable, and I urge for a resolution. Sincerely, Angela P.

Expressing vehement disagreement regarding the decision to ban Kate Smith's rendition of "God Bless America" due to her past songs. The writer finds the decision delusional and questions the word "racist" related to her. Mentioning her collaboration with Paul Robeson, a black communist, the writer criticizes the inconsistency in labeling. Warning against playing songs by rap artists, the writer points out their controversial themes. Emphasizing the need for entertainment to stay apolitical, the writer conveys disappointment in the team's involvement in the issue. Quoting Milan Kundera on the importance of preserving memory, the writer indicates a perception of erasure of the past. Concluding with skepticism about the stance taken by Yankee management on the matter.

As a lifelong Yankees fan, I am deeply disappointed with the decision to stop playing Kate Smith's rendition of "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch. I have supported the team since I was a youngster, and the removal of this tradition is disheartening. It is frustrating that the team has chosen to cater to a minority opinion based on an incident from [redacted], 88 years ago. This knee-jerk reaction is disappointing and alienates long-time fans like myself. Many fans, including myself, are contemplating boycotting Yankee Stadium in protest of this decision. It is a shame that the organization would jeopardize their relationship with loyal supporters over this matter. As an ex-Yankee supporter, I urge the team to reconsider this divisive move before it negatively impacts their fan base and ultimately their bottom line. Sincerely, E.B.

I sent the following email to the NY Yankees customer service department. I received a response instructing me to call them. After calling, they informed me that my email was not read and that the reply I received was automated. When I brought up the contents of my initial message, they were unable to assist me further. Upon asking if I could speak to the front office, they declined and abruptly ended the call. This behavior was not only rude and disrespectful but also unprofessional. Below is the email I sent to the NY Yankees: "My son and grandson (see attached photos), along with other family members, will be attending the game on Saturday, July 20th at 1:05 pm – Yankees vs. Colorado Rockies. My son, Paul, who has a genetic disorder causing him to lose his eyesight slowly, is a devoted Yankees fan. My 4-year-old grandson, RJ, particularly loves Arron Judge. They both admire Judge not only as a talented player but as an exceptional individual. This game will be RJ's first visit to Yankee Stadium. I have a request that may be a bit much, but I'm going to ask anyway. Is it possible for my son Paul and grandson RJ to meet Arron Judge at Yankee Stadium before the game and take a photo with him? This would be a cherished moment for Paul, especially considering his worsening eyesight. It would also create a wonderful memory for a young fan like RJ. I understand this may be a big ask, but it would mean the world to my son and grandson, especially Paul, who has been a loyal Yankees fan since childhood. Please let me know if this is feasible or if I am asking for too much. Thank you, Lou Scaltro"

I am a Yankees fan because of my husband, and I have become just as big a fan as him. I have never been to a game. My husband was taken for Father's Day a few years back, but I wasn't invited by our son. I absolutely adore Aaron Judge, Brett Gardner, CC Sabathia (he is my favorite), and Edwin Encarnacion. My 67th birthday is coming up, and I would love to see them play and meet my favorites. What do I have to do to make this happen? Please take this seriously; it is my heart's desire. Thank you.

I have an adjustment to make. I want to clarify that I am not disabled, nor am I incapable. Despite not having a heart-wrenching backstory, it pains me that my son and husband seem cold. Their recent outing to a Yankees game, excluding me, highlights this. Please review my earlier email for context. Thank you. Best regards, Pam M. The New York Yankees are facing challenges with player injuries. One potential solution could be Dan Higgins, a respected personal trainer from Wall Township, New Jersey. Dan is well-known for his ability to prevent in-season injuries and effectively rehabilitate athletes. His successful work with the Wall Township football team is evidence of his expertise. The Yankees should consider reaching out to him to improve player health. For those interested, Dan can be reached at [redacted]. Sharing this recommendation as I believe Dan's skills could benefit the team. Sincerely, Mike Grecco.

As a merchant marine currently at sea, I have unfortunately missed important family occasions like birthdays and upcoming celebrations. I am eagerly anticipating my time off in July and am considering taking my family to a Yankees game as a special outing. However, when I checked ticket prices, I am concerned about affordability, especially in case of any work-related obligations that may prevent me from attending the game. I am wondering if there are discounts available for merchant marines, as I want to ensure I can provide this experience for my family within my budget constraints. My youngest child is 3 years old, so I am seeking seating options that are not too high up. I also am hesitant to make a significant financial commitment in case my work schedule changes unexpectedly. Any advice on affordable ticket options, deals, and ideal timings for the game would be greatly appreciated.

I held 2 tickets for the game on May 20, [redacted], which got rained out. Following the cancellation, I left the city and returned home to Denver. Upon being assured of a full refund at the gate, I have yet to see any progress on that. My initial contact with StubHub on May 20 gave me hope for a refund, but on May 29, I was informed that instead of the refund, a second charge had been made for the same tickets. Subsequent follow-ups on June 3 led to the charge being reversed and a refund issued. However, on June 8, the issue still remains unresolved. Requesting assistance from the Yankee organization to investigate as the ticket costs exceeded $[redacted]. Despite repeated attempts, I've been unable to reach a person via the contact number [redacted].

Good evening, there is a serious incident I need to report. While at the ballpark in section [redacted], I was unfairly asked to leave in the 8th inning with my family due to alleged vaping, which is false. Despite their claim of having footage, when I asked to see it, they did not show me again. The same security guard harassed me throughout the night. I do not vape or drink. I am asking for the footage of the alleged incident and the reason behind our ejection. If this is not addressed, I will take legal action against racial profiling. You can reach me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] Thank you.

When garlic fries were introduced at Yankee Stadium, my son and I started a tradition of attending games and indulging in them. However, last night, the stadium ran out of garlic fries by the third inning, offering only plain fries instead. This was not what we had anticipated. How can a prestigious organization like the New York Yankees run out of garlic? Despite the low cost of garlic, they still managed to run out. They could easily purchase it in bulk, chop it, store it in oil-filled containers, and even use garlic-flavored oil in other concessions. While we were pleased with the Yankee's win, we were disappointed by the lack of consideration the organization showed towards its patrons by not maintaining an ample supply of garlic. Sincerely, So Disappointed L. Giacalone

I'm not certain if this is the appropriate place to submit this request, but I wanted to share a story about Joe Russo and his late mother, Ann Moran. Joe, who is 50 years old, has a rare condition called PKU that prohibits him from consuming protein. Despite this, he has been a dedicated Yankees fan for years. Unfortunately, his mother passed away on June 30. For over a decade, Joe and Ann enjoyed attending Yankee home games together, with Joe never having the chance to eat a hot dog at the ballpark due to his condition. They would also make a yearly trip to Florida for spring training, where Joe proudly sported his own Yankees uniform. With Ann's passing, these traditions are likely to end as Joe cannot drive and may struggle to travel alone. I'm reaching out in the hopes that the Yankees could consider doing something special for Joe and offer a gesture of support during this difficult time. I appreciate your attention to this request. Sincerely, Ernestine Franco

My wife reached out to the Yankees regarding me being honored as Veteran of the Game. We completed the requested paperwork, including separation papers and awards, and sent them to Tony Ntella at Veteran of the Game LLC in Brooklyn, New York. After sending the documents, we received an email confirming receipt and an invoice for a $40.00 Registration Fee. However, we have not received any confirmation of selection or further information, leading us to worry about the legitimacy of this process. Despite multiple attempts to contact Mr. Ntella and Michael Margolis of the Yankees, we have not received any response. We are hopeful that someone can assist us in addressing this issue. Thank you.

I'm disappointed in the Yankees management for not emphasizing the basics of baseball, like moving runners over with sacrifice bunts. It's frustrating to see the team waste opportunities with runners on base and no outs. By executing simple strategies like sacrificing bunts, the team can put pressure on the opposing pitcher and increase their chances of scoring runs. There are numerous ways for a runner on second base to score with no outs, including base hits, wild pitches, errors, passed balls, and more. Instead of always going for home runs, the manager should focus on generating runs by playing fundamental baseball and utilizing all the players effectively. It's essential to prioritize moving runners over and not leaving players stranded on base.

Dear MLB, I recently watched a segment on the MLB news network Morning Lineup titled "Volpe getting the attention of Yanks' core guys" and I was quite upset by one of the comments made on the show. The video announcer referenced Volpe by saying, "AND IT DOESN'T HURT THAT HIS LAST NAME ENDS IN A VOWEL." As an Italian American, I found this comment disrespectful not only to my heritage but to everyone. It implies that players of different ethnicities may not have the same opportunities based on their background, which is unacceptable. This type of remark is racist and offensive to all. I hope you take this matter seriously. Sincerely, Dr. V. Majerski

I recently bought MLBtv for the [redacted] Spring and regular season. Each time I try to watch a game, it says "No broadcast" even though the Phillies are the only blacked-out team in my zip code, [redacted]. I originally hail from NJ. MLBtv provided me with a list of games, mostly MLBtv broadcasts with a few on ESPN, but whenever I try to watch, it still says "No Broadcast." This is incredibly frustrating and disappointing for dedicated fans like me, who face these issues every season. Last season, I had to switch between 5 different providers. I'm a retired individual on a limited budget of $30,[redacted], and streaming MLBtv is a big deal for me. I usually attend two games a year in the Bronx. I've been a die-hard fan since the core four era, watching Maris play in [redacted] with my Dad when watching the Yankees was never this complicated. Come on, MLBtv, please fix this issue. I'm even willing to volunteer as a substitute organist if needed!
