I recently submitted my confirmation of enrollment for the [redacted] school year online, and I received confirmation from my Educational Institution. However, my account has not been updated to reflect that my loan should be interest-free. Despite still being in university, I have received a notice that loan repayment should begin in November. I kindly request for my enrollment status to be promptly updated in my NSLSC account.

I had trouble reaching a real service representative at NSLSC as I kept getting automated responses that did not address my concern. I have noticed that many others are experiencing the same problem. To speak to a live person, do not select any options when calling the toll-free number. Instead, wait for about 10 seconds, and you will be connected to the next available representative. Choosing any prompts will not get you through to a real person and might lead to frustration. I wanted to share this solution for anyone facing a similar issue, as it is not clearly explained on the contact page.

When contacting NSLSC, it's essential to reach a real person for assistance. Avoid selecting any language options when prompted. Instead, wait for about ten seconds after the voice message ends, and you will be connected directly to a live representative.
The issue lies in the lack of clarity regarding this step on NSLSC's website or during phone calls. Most individuals instinctively choose a language, inadvertently leading them into a frustrating cycle of automated messages instead of connecting with a real person as desired. NSLSC should update their contact information to highlight this crucial step or consider adding an option for callers to directly reach a representative without delays.

Hello, I am a second-year student at Humber College. During my first year, I had a loan, but my SIN was different. Now that I am in my second year, I updated my SIN, and I received a notification about my upcoming student loan payment, which is confusing as I am still studying. The college's Student Loan department suggested I reach out to you regarding my situation and the updated SIN. Thank you, Feroza Faiza.

I am currently on the National Student Loans website attempting to upload my confirmation of enrollment form. Unfortunately, each time I click on 'Confirmation of Enrollment,' a message indicates my session is about to time-out. When I press 'continue,' it does not respond, leaving me with no choice but to log out. I am encountering difficulty in proving my enrollment status due to this issue on your website.
Furthermore, I would like to mention that your phone system is quite frustrating to navigate. It would be beneficial to have an upfront option to speak directly to a representative instead of having to go through a complex process labeled "Navigate phone maze to a human."

I received a notification from NSLSC on September 7th, stating my student funding is "on its way". The tuition amount went to my university, but after nearly two weeks, I have not seen the remaining funds in my bank account. I attempted calling the number on the NSLSC website multiple times without success. Both my financial institution and university aid office directed me to this number, which has not helped. The amount waiting to be deposited is significant, and I need it for my expenses and to repay after my studies.

I previously deactivated an old GC Key linked to a paid student loan, now having a new student loan with a new MSFAA number. I can log into the NSLSC with the new GC Key, but encounter error code R042 after providing my DOB, MSFAA, and setting up security questions. It seems the old GC Key may still be connected to my SIN, causing the issue with both the old and new MSFAA numbers. Despite contacting numerous customer service agents, my problem persists with no resolution, only referrals to other numbers. Some reps claim it's a unique problem, others say it's common. I fear not being able to oversee my new loan properly. Seeking guidance as I face difficulties navigating this situation since September.

I have a student loan for three years of my education. Last year I didn't require OSAP, so I requested an interest-free period. I am now returning to school and applied for OSAP in May. When I checked online on how to inform the NSLS that I was going back to school, it simply said to apply for an interest-free period on the OSAP website. However, the OSAP site states that if you are returning to school, you just need to complete an application, which I did. Now, when I check my NSLS loan, it shows that I am in repayment. How can I switch that since I am enrolled full-time in school?
Thank you!

When dialing the NSLSC number, the automated system prompts callers to select their language preference by pressing 1 for English or appuyez sur le 2 for French. Next, it offers options for individuals with loans (1) and for students without loans (2). If no selection is made, it then provides more choices such as details on applying (1), preparing for school (2), payment assistance (3), and FAQ responses (4). However, the system may repeat these options continuously without transferring to a live representative. I experienced waiting for 10 minutes listening to the menu repeating itself without progressing to a human attendant.
