While she was asking me the second question, the phone got disconnected. I waited on hold for about an hour before someone answered. After explaining the situation to the new operator, I was on hold for another 35 minutes. I need to remove this restriction urgently as the banks are closed, and I can't access my money without my card. I have been applying for personal loans online. Recently, I received calls from an [redacted] number which I initially ignored assuming it was spam. However, this morning, I decided to call back to find out who was attempting to reach me. A man from NBT answered and mentioned that I was approved for a $6,[redacted] loan. He requested the last four digits of my Social Security number, which I provided. When he confirmed my identity as JY and the loan approval, I expressed skepticism as I had not requested this loan amount. To ensure the legitimacy, I contacted NBT's customer service line but was placed on hold for 20 minutes. I aimed to verify the information and report the [redacted] number if it turned out to be fraudulent. Although I could have left a message, I opted to hang up. My suspicion is that this might be a scam and I feel the need to inform NBT. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
