I bought a Mr. Heater Big Maxx 80,[redacted] BTU, model MHU80 and HSU80NG, which worked well for three years. However, recently, the fan wouldn't stop running after I adjusted the thermostat, showing an LED 4 flash code. I managed to resolve the issue by disconnecting the heat exchanger temperature sensor that was charred with black due to heat. While the heater is now functioning properly, I believe I may need to replace the temperature sensor to prevent future problems. I'd appreciate guidance on ordering the sensor that controls the cooling fan post heat reduction. My name is Tony, and I can be contacted at [redacted]. I also seek technical support for this matter.

We have a side porch that measures 9.5 feet by 28 feet by 8 feet, with a concrete floor over the garage. It has storm doors only on the ends and windows on the 28-foot side with 80 solar screens. The doors on the south end do not receive direct sunlight. We are located in NKY (Cincinnati). Last year, we used a blue flame ventless gas heater (14,[redacted]-28,[redacted] BTU) to heat the porch to maintain a temperature around 35 degrees Fahrenheit (above freezing) for the plants during winter. At the minimum setting of 14,[redacted] BTU, we could only achieve 45 degrees Fahrenheit. We are looking for a slightly smaller ventless heater, but blue flame options range from 10,[redacted] to 20,[redacted] BTU. Infrared heaters range from 12,[redacted] to 18,[redacted] BTU. How can we determine the right size infrared heater needed? Considering that infrared heats objects, how does the thermostat regulate the temperature? My antivirus software is blocking access to the Mr. Heater site due to a HEUR:Trojan-PSW.Script.Generic threat. Could someone notify Mr. Heater about this issue?

I bought a Mr. Heater 30,[redacted] BTU from Northern Tool on January 27, [redacted]. It has been in the box since then, and a professional installed it on November 24, [redacted]. However, it doesn't work, even though it is brand new. Northern Tool advised me to contact Mr. Heater directly for the return due to their policy. When I tried reaching out to you through chat, your representative directed me back to Northern Tool. I am feeling extremely frustrated and would like a resolution since the product is still under warranty.

Good afternoon,
On October 24, I purchased a MHVFB20LPT heater from Amazon Mexico (link provided). I have been using it for about 2 months on various days. The heater was working perfectly, but recently it has started to have a malfunction and I would like to apply the warranty.
The heater has an automatic ON and OFF feature. When the pilot is lit and it's time to turn on, the burner starts releasing a very low intermittent flame (not the entire burner). This lasts about 5 to 10 seconds, then it releases an intense flame that goes beyond the glass and protective mesh before burning the gas correctly. When it's time to turn off the flame, it goes down but doesn't extinguish completely, continuing to release gas for 5 to 10 seconds with an intermittent flame.
This issue doesn't occur when I manually move the knob to turn the burner on or off, only when it's on automatic mode.
I find it concerning that it emits a flame beyond the protection and the potential gas leakage during the moments when the burner has a low intermittent flame.
Please advise on how to proceed with the warranty in my case. Thank you very much.

About a year ago, I purchased an MHU80 (Serial # LN-[redacted][redacted]), but unfortunately, it has not been working properly. Upon installation, it would heat up and then shut off on its own. I reached out for help previously and requested a replacement unit because our other unit caused no issues. You requested troubleshooting, but I didn't have the time. We managed with the faulty unit until now when the problem has resurfaced with the cold weather. I contacted your service again after one of our maintenance team members inspected it. After waiting on hold and leaving a message, I received a call back. They asked for more troubleshooting even though I suspect a faulty control board. I am not interested in a new control board; I would like a new unit and I am willing to return the current one.

This is my third heater, and I believe you are currently closed. The serial number is Echo Charlie [redacted]-[redacted]. The issue is that it does not completely shut off when it reaches the temperature, resulting in propane filling the house until a big burst of flames appears. The heater was installed by the propane company with new lines and a shut-off valve, but the problem persists. Please assist as this is my third heater, and the issue needs to be resolved. Thank you.

Hello, On February 23rd, I purchased my fifth Mr. Heater from Tractor Supply in Rochester, NY. These heaters have never let me down, but the most recent one I bought had an internal leak. This caused dizziness and light-headedness. Upon inspection, I found a badly crimped aluminum line going to the control through the square opening at the back. Tractor Supply informed me that this model is discontinued, but I would like to exchange it as I am a fan of these heaters. The model number is MHVFBF30NGBT, a blue flame heater. I would appreciate it if I could get an exchange. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
Rich Ferrante

I purchased a 19,[redacted] BTU thermostat-controlled heater last September for my 26 ft travel trailer. After a recent trip, I noticed a heavy white powder under the burners. Even after cleaning and replacing parts, the issue persisted, and I heard a popping sound causing the burners to go out. It seems this heater may not be suitable for travel, which was not specified in the information provided. I am concerned about how to proceed with this issue.

I recently spoke with one of your technicians online regarding an issue with my MHU80NG heater. The control board was giving me 3 quick flashes, and despite checking the gas pressure and exhaust venting, I couldn't resolve the problem. The technician suggested bypassing the pressure sensor to determine if it was faulty. After conducting the test and finding the unit worked with the bypass, I concluded the sensor was indeed bad. I bought the heater from Northern Tool on November 16, [redacted] (Serial number LN-[redacted][redacted]). How can I go about getting a replacement sensor under warranty? I am willing to pay for expedited shipping for the replacement to address the issue quickly due to the approaching cold weather in MN. Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,

I recently spoke with a customer service representative and had a frustrating experience. I wish I had noted her name, but let's refer to her as "Karen." I work in construction alongside my wife, who is a pipe fitter, while I am a pipe welder with 40 years of experience. I explained to Karen that the toe warmers were not working, despite having a valid expiration date. She dismissively mentioned following the instructions and offered to send replacements after returning the product to the store. Her condescending tone and unprofessional behavior led me to request speaking with her supervisor. Customer service should be respectful, and Karen's attitude was unacceptable. Perhaps she needs a reminder about proper communication skills. I can be reached at [redacted] for any follow-up. Apologies for the lengthy message; it's essential to uphold professionalism in all interactions.
