Our home internet connection unexpectedly stopped after a technician worked on the building's electrical box to install a new phone connection for a neighbor. Attention all residents of Big Blue urbanization in Benalmadena, an urgent matter regarding the internet outage needs immediate resolution. A new Movistar internet service installation by a new neighbor has inadvertently disconnected all wires, causing a complete loss of internet access for the entire community for almost 24 hours. Despite the neighbor's successful internet setup, the rest of us are left without a connection. An Orange technician on-site confirmed the issue lies with Movistar. Given the critical need for internet, especially for those working remotely, swift action is necessary to restore services. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I cancelled my Movistar landline and broadband contract in person at their shop on 27/06/[redacted]. I have a receipt for returning the router, but I have not received confirmation. I paid my last direct debit on 1st July. Can I cancel the payment due on 1st August, or should I wait to be safe? I was told a day's notice was sufficient, but I am unsure about the billing cycle and if I owe any arrears. Should I cancel now or wait another month? Your guidance will be greatly appreciated.

The decoder and remote control stopped functioning at our home, leaving us unable to watch television. We reached out to Movistar for assistance, but encountered challenges due to the automated Spanish service since we have limited understanding of the language. Despite our efforts, we were unable to connect with a live person who could assist us in English. Frustrated, we visited a Movistar office to request a technician. We are currently awaiting a call from Movistar to schedule a date and time for the technician to come and address the issue.

As a content Movistar customer with a Fusion contract, I appreciate the service provided. I initially opted for the TV package due to its affordability, although it has not been utilized by my wife and me due to language barriers.
Recently, other companies have offered more cost-effective deals of approximately 25-30 euros per month for broadband, landline, and mobile services. I am inquiring if Movistar offers a similar package that I could switch to. I am inclined to remain with Movistar as it has been reliable, but the price variance for unused services is significant.

I believe Movistar may have violated EU consumer protection laws. I purchased a package online from Movistar in Spain for home internet and mobile services. Despite receiving an order confirmation, neither the products nor the technician installation arrived. Movistar failed to deliver a SIM card, blocked my old number causing weeks of service interruption, and did not respond to my emails. When I tried to cancel the order, they insisted on a contract and sent bills for services I never received. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, including using the provided email addresses, I was met with silence. Movistar's lack of communication, failure to deliver services, and insistence on billing for nonexistent services are concerning. My attempts to reach their support phone number were also in vain. I believe Movistar's actions may warrant legal intervention as they are not complying with EU laws on consumer rights and communication standards for online purchases.
