My son-in-law drove us from California to Missouri, where I live, but the car broke down upon arrival. Since he couldn't afford the repairs, he gifted me the car and sent the California title. Due to my disability, I haven't been able to cover the costs to fix it and get it registered and titled in my name. The title displays his name gifting it to me, and the vehicle needs the power steering leak fixed and the catalytic converter replaced. Despite several tows, I can't drive it until it's legal with Missouri license plates. The California plates expired on September 30, [redacted]. I urgently need a clear list of steps to follow for the DMV requirements in Missouri. Thank you in advance!

I need help on how to legally move an RV travel trailer registered in Texas with expired tags. The last known owner did not transfer the title to their name before taking the trailer to Kansas. It is now on my property in Kansas, and I need to move it to Missouri. Should I obtain a bonded title, a surety bond, or explore options for an abandoned trailer process? Once it's in Missouri, I will also need guidance on how to title it in my name. The destination is a friend's address in Long Lane, Missouri. I can't locate the previous owner, and there is uncertainty regarding any previous liens. Any assistance on the next steps would be greatly appreciated as I need to move the trailer promptly. Feel free to contact me with positive updates at any time.

I purchased a truck on 9-1-18 and recently tried to renew the plate, but was informed I have to wait until after Jan 1-19, despite it expiring on 12-31-18. This means I'll have to endure another long wait at the license office. I spent 2.5 hours trying to renew the plate already. Can someone clarify why I can't renew it before the end of the year to avoid having an expired plate for one day? I'm looking for the contact information for the main office overseeing the Rolla MO office.

My husband and I submitted our [redacted] income tax return electronically on March 8, anticipating a refund. I have been diligently checking my bank account, but as of now, no refund has been deposited. When attempting to track my refund status via phone or online, after entering my SS#, filing status, and refund amount, I receive a message indicating that no information is on file for me. However, my accountant emailed me on March 8 confirming that the MO Dept. of Rev. accepted my tax return. I possess a tracking number for reference: [redacted][redacted]. I am seeking reassurance that my tax matters are being addressed appropriately.

I had a negative experience at the Chesterfield office today, 4/25/19.
I visited to get a Real ID license but faced confusion over the acceptance of my non-SSA [redacted] form. The young clerk's explanation was unclear, and when I requested to speak to her supervisor for clarification, she reacted harshly and asked me to leave. Steve, the supervisor, eventually helped me, but also prohibited me from returning. This experience was extremely unpleasant for me as a senior citizen just seeking assistance. The office’s policy of refusing service due to "irrational or threatening behavior" seems extreme considering my reasonable request for a supervisor's assistance.
I will be sharing my poor experience with others and hope the Department of Revenue considers customer service improvements at this location.
Thank you,
Linda C.

I have been dealing with this issue since February [redacted]. After weeks of frustration due to the online system showing my tax information as not received, I contacted Jessica Barbie. She was incredibly helpful and requested me to email all the necessary documents to her, as only one page had been showing as received despite originally sending everything by mail. Jessica personally ensured that the documents were forwarded to the correct department. However, as of July 9, [redacted], the system still reflects that my taxes have not been received. I am eager to have this matter resolved promptly and receive my refund.

A California corporation with a retail store in Missouri State has been filing Missouri State Corporation Income Tax Returns annually despite enduring continual losses. The corporation recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and was relieved of its indebtedness by the court, resulting in income from debt cancellation. According to Federal Tax Law, the corporation must report this income on Form [redacted].
However, the individual is unsure about handling this debt cancellation income for Hawaii Corporation Income Tax and requests assistance on resolving this matter promptly. Contact can be made via email at [redacted] or cell at [redacted]. Timely response to this query is greatly appreciated.

My federal tax refund was mistakenly intercepted by MODOR due to confusion about my residency in Missouri between [redacted] and [redacted]. I have provided proof via email that I did not live in Missouri during that time, as requested by an agent I spoke with in May [redacted]. Despite multiple calls to different agents, I have been told to wait with no resolution. This situation is incredibly frustrating as I have not committed any wrongdoing, yet my funds were taken before I could prove my residency. I have been patient but received no assistance. I urgently need the money back, as I was expecting it in May, and it would greatly help me financially. Can someone please address this issue promptly? Thank you. - Dallas H.

I noticed that the front of my car title specifies that I must submit a notice of sale to the Department of Revenue within 30 days of selling my vehicle. How exactly should I go about submitting this notice, what information should be included, and where should I send it? Additionally, I am unsure about whether I need to pay sales tax for purchasing the vehicle. If so, how much will it be, and what is the process for making this payment? Would I need to fill out any forms, and if required, where can I obtain them?

During the tax year of [redacted], my husband and I lived out of state, not in Missouri. In [redacted], he had been transferred to a different subsidiary within the parent company, but in March [redacted], he received a bonus from the Missouri-based company. Unfortunately, we never received his W-2 for [redacted] from the Missouri company. Recently, we were informed by the IRS about the missing W-2, leading to additional taxes owed. I managed to retrieve the W-2 from the IRS website, but it does not show Missouri withholdings. We now need to file a [redacted] Missouri non-resident tax return but lack the necessary information as the W-2 obtained does not include state details. The company no longer keeps W-2s from that far back. Is there a way for us to obtain a W-2 showing the Missouri withholdings from you? If yes, where can we access this information?

I placed an order for personalized plates on 9/17, and my card was charged immediately. The estimated wait time was 6 to 8 weeks. I've reached out three times via email to inquire about the status but have only received auto-responses promising replies within three days, which haven't materialized. Even contacting the main office has been fruitless, with automated responses leaving me in the dark. Now, attempting to call during stated office hours on a Monday, I was told the office is closed, which is not the case. This lack of communication from a government office where I've made a payment is incredibly frustrating. I'm at a loss for why there's no human response available. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In February, I submitted property tax credits for the tax years [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. In July, I received a letter stating my [redacted] return was intercepted for [redacted] back taxes, which is understandable. However, I haven't received any updates on the previous years. My attempts to contact them have been unsuccessful, leading to frustrating automated messages redirecting me. The inability to track anything other than the current year's return is disappointing. Without updates, I am left unsure if my returns were even received or if they got lost in the mail during the lengthy 10-month period. Clear communication and the ability to track the status of all returns would greatly improve the situation.

I purchased a used pickup truck from Ozark Chevrolet in September [redacted] in Ozark, Missouri. I drove on temporary tags until they expired. After contacting Ozark Chevrolet, they provided a dealer tag as they hadn't received the paperwork back from the state yet for the registration. However, as of last week, I still haven't received the necessary documents from them to pay taxes, and Missouri is reportedly delayed in processing titles. My insurance is now inquiring about the registration status, which is still in the seller's name, and I'm continuously receiving excuses from Ozark Chevrolet. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

I submitted my [redacted] taxes by mail, but unfortunately, it seems that not all of the documents were scanned properly. After receiving a letter stating that some information was missing and that I owe money instead of getting a refund, I sent the requested documents by registered mail. However, I have yet to receive any updates on my return status. Dealing with automated responses and recordings when trying to contact the state has been challenging. I hope that someone can help expedite my refund before the next tax deadline. Thank you for any assistance.

Regarding case number [redacted]1, I contacted to inquire about the status of our title after completing our loan payments. The DMV informed us that the title was on hold because they did not receive the IDOD during the bike's registration in Missouri. Consequently, we had to make a special trip to obtain the necessary IDOD and then returned to the office to complete the registration for our motorcycle. Without receiving any prior notifications, we only became aware of the issue when I called about obtaining the title after selling the bike. Upon reaching out on 11-23-21 and discussing the matter with Brian, he mentioned they are currently processing requests back to October 5th. Despite explaining our situation and requesting to speak with a supervisor, Brian abruptly ended the call after stating they would relay the same information. The delay in obtaining our rightfully paid title due to the oversights of the Montgomery City Mo office has caused undue distress. We are now informed that it will take an additional six weeks to process. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and customer service exhibited by the Missouri DMV is highly disappointing.

I, James C Vander Wyk, recently received an unpaid tax assessment from what seems to be the Missouri Department of Revenue. The notice is regarding unpaid tax liabilities for the first quarter of [redacted], without specifying a corporation or vendor. As an individual not affiliated with any corporation or vendor in Missouri or elsewhere, this communication is puzzling. The provided details include an ID number, PIN, and Notice Number. I am unsure why my name is linked to this matter and have been unsuccessful in contacting customer service for clarification. I seek confirmation from the Department of Revenue regarding the authenticity of the notice. If genuine, I request information on how my name is connected to the issue and which entity is responsible for the outstanding tax.

I am attempting to renew my license plates online for the fourth time. I have entered my PIN number, license plate number, owner ID, and product code accurately. My taxes are paid early, but the website cannot confirm this. I am wondering why this issue is occurring and if I can resolve it without visiting a license office. I am looking to buy two-year plates. Thank you.
