I recently relocated from Florida to Michigan. I have successfully transferred my license, but I am having issues with receiving my new plates and registration. I have already received the title certificate, but the plates have not arrived after waiting for over two weeks. As I'm currently in Florida with my car, I'm unable to drive without the plates. My Florida address is as follows: Douglas Schaffer [redacted] Pelican Creek Circle Bonita Springs, Florida If you could reach out to me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I am encountering difficulties renewing my enhanced driver's license, which is set to expire on December 29, [redacted]. I attempted to schedule an appointment online, but the earliest available date is not until March [redacted]. I am requesting the option to renew my license by mail based on my unblemished record and the consistency of my physical attributes. I urgently require my current identification for various purposes, including prescriptions. I believe all Michigan residents should have the opportunity to renew by mail until the current situation is resolved. My driver's license number is H[redacted]93. Gratefully, A. Hairston.

I am extremely frustrated by Joycelyn's decision not to testify regarding the election fraud in Michigan. It is disappointing that she is avoiding this important responsibility using weak excuses instead of providing crucial fact-based evidence like other witnesses who have sworn under penalty of perjury. Her refusal seems to be driven by political motives rather than the truth. The people of Michigan deserve better; please, Joycelyn, do the right thing and testify for the sake of your constituents. It is essential to address this issue properly.

I have sent three emails over the past three months but have not received a response regarding a question about transferring my license with a disability plate (RAE 41). Our new registration does not have the handicap symbol in the upper right-hand corner like the previous one. I am unsure if this is a new change or if the symbol is no longer needed on the registration. Despite four unsuccessful attempts to contact you by phone, with several hours of recordings, there must be a more efficient way to assist customers. Thank you for helping me with this matter. Sincerely, Roy Elie, [redacted] Palomino Dr., Saginaw, MI [redacted]. VIN: 2C4RC1CG3ER297923.

I've been trying to get an answer via email for the past three months without any success. I have a question about transferring my license with a disability plate (RAE 41). While we've received our new registration, it lacks the handicap symbol in the upper right corner unlike the previous one. I am wondering if this is a recent change or if the symbol is no longer required on the registration. Despite multiple unsuccessful attempts over the phone and spending several hours navigating recordings, I'm hoping for a more efficient way to get the information I need. I tried to renew my Michigan driver's license online but was unable to do so despite receiving a renewal notice. I mailed my payment to the address listed on the Secretary of State Drivers License website but have not yet received my new license, which is set to expire on January 3, [redacted]. Currently residing in Marco Island, FL until June 1st, I am seeking advice on how to handle this situation. Can I obtain a temporary license for the 6-month duration of my stay in Florida until my return to Michigan? Any information or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - J. I am currently facing an issue with scheduling a level 1 permit appointment at the Secretary of State office for my kids, who are in the first part of driver's training. Their training concludes at the end of January, but the earliest appointment available is not until March 3. I am concerned as this gap may lead to them forgetting what they learned and losing confidence in their driving skills. Is there any way to walk in for an appointment without scheduling one? I also struggled to reach a representative over the phone when calling the SOS number. I spent 15 minutes trying to navigate the system without success. I would appreciate clarity on whether walk-in appointments are an option and if there are any extensions for permit deadlines due to service delays at the SOS.

I recently moved to Texas from Michigan and needed a clearance letter to obtain a Texas license. Michigan required a fee of $[redacted] to issue the letter, which I paid on February 20, [redacted]. Despite this, I received a letter stating my license was denied and revoked for an offense from July 11, [redacted]. I managed to obtain documentation proving completion of the required program and tried to gather more evidence from my Parole Officer, Steve Scott, but faced difficulties due to Covid-19. Michigan informed me I couldn't appeal until March 29, [redacted]. I believe this situation constitutes double jeopardy as I have already fulfilled the necessary obligations from [redacted]. I am hoping for assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you, Denise L. M.

Hello, I am struggling to access the MDOS Driver Appeal Integrated System at the Michigan Secretary of State. I have attempted multiple times on various days, including today, but have been unsuccessful. Despite entering accurate and updated information, after completing the identity verification and submission, I receive a message saying my request is denied. I simply need to check on my license appeal hearing status, find out if a date has been set, and determine if any additional documentation is required. Despite being advised by the operator to utilize this system to stay informed, I am unable to access any information. I am unsure how to resolve an issue that is beyond my control. I am solely seeking access to the MDOS Driver Appeal Integrated System to view services in the Administrative Hearings Section regarding my driver's license appeal hearing requests and to check for any scheduled hearings. My license expired a year ago, and I have been attempting to schedule a hearing for the same duration. I am not seeking preferential treatment, just the ability to view the information I am entitled to. I appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

As a Michigan resident, I want to share an honest review of the Michigan Secretary of State's (SOS) services. Venturing onto their website seems to be the only way to seek answers, which reflects their heavy reliance on automation instead of providing quality service. After spending over an hour searching for a simple answer, the wait time to receive any assistance exceeds one hour. It's disappointing how the SOS seems to prioritize a convoluted website over efficient customer service, reminiscent of struggling nations. It's disheartening to witness the decline in the SOS's efficiency compared to a decade ago. Today, the SOS exemplifies lackadaisical attitudes from employees and officials, causing frustration among citizens. Sadly, the current state of the SOS appears to prioritize politics over genuine customer care, mirroring the troubling state of affairs in Michigan.

I am a real estate agent, Christy Ruppel from Coldwell Banker Kigar, and can be reached at [redacted]. I sold property located at [redacted] Blueberry Lane in Gladwin in June [redacted]. The new owner never received a new title for the mobile home as it was assumed to have gone into a special needs trust, which is not possible. I recently sold the property again on December 22, [redacted], and now I need to obtain a new title for the mobile home or complete an Affidavit of Fixture for the property. Could you please guide me on how to proceed with this process? Kindly advise on the necessary documents that will be required. Thank you, Christy Ruppel.

In January [redacted], my Driver's License got suspended. I sent an application for reinstatement and made a $[redacted].00 payment on my Credit Card on 06/11/[redacted]. Upon attending a court hearing via zoom in [redacted], I settled all fines as directed by the 36th District court to lift the hold on my license. Despite my efforts to contact the Secretary of State for confirmation, I have not been able to speak with any representatives. An email I sent received a generic response promising a delayed reply that never came. Moving to California, I visited the DMV there only to discover that Michigan still has a hold on my license. I am struggling to reach any representatives for assistance. I am seeking guidance on the steps needed to release the suspension on my license so I can proceed to obtain a California License.

I recently received a letter from the State office regarding an abandoned vehicle in Kalamazoo under my name. I want to clarify that I haven't owned that car for over 7-8 years. I traded it in at Kelems Quality Used Cars on S.11th St. in Niles, MI, for a [redacted] Ford Taurus. Mr. Kelems confirmed that he's had the vehicle since then and recently sold it to someone in Benton Harbor. Despite this, I received a complaint number #[redacted] and feel the need to address this issue to avoid any confusion. Although Mr. Kelems assured me that no action is required on my part, I want to ensure that the vehicle is no longer associated with my name. I am 77 years old and do not currently own any vehicles. Thank you, N.R.

While in Louisiana, I traded my Coachman trailer and all the paperwork was handled by the dealership. A few weeks later, I was contacted by the Secretary of State for an appointment to pay taxes on the trailer at my local branch on March 30th at 1:00. However, upon arrival, the branch had no record of my trailer. After reaching out to Camping World, where I purchased the trailer, they confirmed they had sent the paperwork to the Paw Paw branch and it was signed for by A. Rey. I've been struggling to secure a new appointment without success.

I am attempting to book an appointment for my husband to renew his driver's license, which expires on 4/30. I tried at 8:09 this morning, but tomorrow's date wasn't available to select. I'm unsure about the process. Are new dates released exactly at 8 am and noon? I've also left a callback request earlier today without receiving a response. Dan Davenport's DL # is D151-[redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted], with a birth date of 4/30/[redacted]. If possible, could you schedule this appointment for me? We have 6 vehicles needing renewal, but I cannot do it online as proof of insurance is required. Ideally, I'd like to secure a slot for this Friday as I have upcoming surgery next week and will need my husband's assistance for an additional week. Thank you.

I have a few inquiries: 1. My friend recently suffered a brain injury while traveling out of the state. Since it's not obligatory to inform the MI Secretary of State about a seizure (not related to epilepsy), is there any merit in self-reporting? If so, what is the rationale and process for self-reporting? 2. I grasp the stipulation that he cannot drive until after a seizure-free period of 6 months, with exceptions. If the Michigan neurologist treating him deems him fit to drive before the 6-month period, what actions should they take to ensure compliance? What is the typical response time from the Secretary of State? 3. Conversely, if it indeed takes the full 6 months for the neurologist to clear him to drive, what are the necessary steps? Is it obligatory to contact the Secretary of State post the 6-month timeframe? Thank you. P.S: I have repeatedly tried to contact the SoS via phone but have consistently encountered a message that operators are occupied, prompting me to call later.

Hello, I'm a 77-year-old who has attempted to schedule a next-day appointment online four times. On two occasions, after completing my information, I encountered a roadblock - there was no button to finalize or send the appointment. Today, I visited the Secretary of State in Battle Creek seeking an appointment and was advised by the manager to continue trying at 8 am and 12 pm for next-day availability. Unfortunately, I couldn't access the necessary tabs online due to my truck being unlicensed since [redacted]. Last year, I struggled to obtain a license at Meijers and ultimately gave up. Now, with an urgent need to license my truck this year, I'm seeking assistance from Lansing. Could they please send me the required forms to utilize the self-help machine at Meijers? I've already invested over an hour without a resolution in sight.

I need a duplicate mobile home title as mine got misplaced. The process can be done online through the Secretary of State's website, but I'm struggling with the second part and the site seems unresponsive. I attempted to visit the Secretary of State office in my area, Lapeer, but they are fully booked until July. The nearest available appointment is in West Branch, Michigan on June 4th, which is quite far from me. I've heard that speaking directly to a representative on the phone could help with my situation. It's urgent as I must obtain the title by June 22 to sell my manufactured home, and my mortgage company won't provide a copy. This is causing me a lot of stress.

I created an account on www.michigan.gov/sos and followed all the necessary steps for ordering a duplicate vehicle registration. Despite completing the process, I was informed that the duplicate copy would not be mailed to me and I was unable to print it. I urgently require a duplicate copy of my registration as my original is lost. I lack a printer and was trying to print it at a friend's place. How can I request to have a duplicate copy mailed to me? I've attempted multiple times on different days to contact the [redacted] number without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please reach out to me via email or phone at T.S. at [redacted].

I mailed a check and form to order tabs on April 8, [redacted], but I have yet to receive them. The items were sent in a white envelope. Prior to mailing them, I attempted to use the SOS machine and was denied due to lack of insurance coverage. On April 8th, I took my truck out of storage and got insurance. After speaking with a representative who mentioned insurance checks are done bi-monthly, I sent in my documents because my birthday is on April 10th. A friend who applied for tabs after me received theirs in two weeks. Unfortunately, since SOS doesn't offer tab-ordering appointments, I'm unsure of the next steps. My details are as follows: Lyle Ward, [redacted] Minnesota, Marysville, Michigan [redacted]. Driver's license: W630 [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]. License plate: CDD447. Thank you for your assistance.
