I received a call from AT&T offering internet and phone services with savings, which I accepted. Unfortunately, they ended up installing the connection under the wrong account at my shared office. After over a month, I realized I had no service and requested AT&T to revert it back to how it was before. They removed their equipment, but I still couldn't use my phones. Upon contacting them, they insisted I return their modem for my number to be released. I complied, but when I reached out to Cox for service, they informed me that AT&T hadn't released my number. AT&T now says I must reactivate service through them to retrieve my number and refused to update the call recording. They gave me the option of providing the cell number [redacted] instead of the disconnected line [redacted] used for Roy Williams, known as Rocky from Williams RV Sales and Service.
