Lending Tree Customer Service Issues

I am wondering why Lending Tree is charging $20.00 to apply for lower supplemental health insurance rates. In the past, I have never encountered such fees to access better health insurance rates. I recently sought to secure a reduced rate compared to what my current insurance company offered for [redacted] with the same provider. A licensed insurance agent from Lending Tree proposed monthly payments that were $10.00 lower. Do you think this could be a potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity?

I recently visited Lending Tree online to refinance my auto loan and provided my information. I received a call back on March 25th, [redacted], indicating an issue with my credit report. I was transferred to someone who claimed to be a lending company representative but turned out to be from Lexington Law. They requested personal and financial history details under the guise of helping with my loan application. After 30 minutes, I was informed about their monthly service fee for credit report assistance, which I found deceptive. Not only does Lending Tree have my information, but now so does Lexington Law. Lending Tree refused to delete my data, citing federal and state laws. This situation is concerning as my information has been shared with a third party without my consent, and I am unsure how it will be handled next. I believe this is unethical and possibly illegal, and I am seeking advice on what actions I can take.
