I've been attempting to get this issue resolved with no success for weeks now. I was directed to contact the LA Times regarding the permission to use a photograph that was published in the San Diego Union-Tribune on December 5, [redacted]. This photograph is of Japanese pilot Shigenori Nishikaichi who perished post the Pearl Harbor attack, and I intend to include it in a book about the Hawaiian attacks to be released by the Naval Institute Press in Annapolis, Maryland. With the impending publisher's deadline, it's crucial that I speak with a live person promptly about obtaining permission. Please provide me with the contact details - email and phone number - of the appropriate person to assist with this matter. Thank you for your help.

I have been a loyal subscriber to the LA Times for over 50 years. My wife enjoys the print edition while I prefer reading the e-edition on my 27” iMac. I appreciate the large print and high-quality photos featured in the e-edition; however, the new flashing ads are disrupting my reading experience. I am looking for a way to disable these ads as they are diminishing my enjoyment of the paper. I am a paying customer and believe I should not have to tolerate this inconvenience. I hope the LA Times can address this issue promptly. Thank you. David H.

It seems like there is a noticeable imbalance in your coverage of Mr. Trump and the RNC compared to Mr. Biden and the DNC. It's important to provide unbiased news coverage without leaning towards one political party over the other. Regardless of political affiliation, all Americans deserve fair and balanced reporting. Let's focus on reporting the news without injecting personal opinions or biases. Journalistic integrity is crucial, so it's essential to ensure that employees strictly report the news without personal commentary. Let's strive to uphold journalistic standards and avoid divisive language that could harm the integrity of our reporting. Let's work together to provide accurate and unbiased news coverage to our readers.

The Los Angeles Times previously reported on the closure of St. Vincent Medical Center located at [redacted] West Third Street at the end of the year. Since then, there has been no follow-up on the situation. It would be beneficial to see a new article addressing the bankruptcy that has led to the discontinuation of retirement benefits for numerous former employees of The Daughters Of Charity National Health System, West (DCNHS, West), which operated the hospital for over a century. Despite owning significant real estate in California, DCNHS West has left hundreds of employees with decades of service without pensions post-[redacted]. This situation primarily affects older employees in jobs like Food Service, Housekeeping, and Maintenance. The individuals impacted by this are now facing financial uncertainty after dedicating their careers to the organization. It's disheartening how these individuals, who served the community under the mission of "care for the poor," are now left with no support. Let's hope for justice for these affected employees.

I have not received my LA Times edition for Friday, January 22, [redacted]. Despite multiple promises of delivery from supervisors on Friday and Saturday morning, the paper has not arrived. Additionally, today, after more assurances and promises, the delivery has not been made by 1 p.m. I have contacted the LA Times multiple times with no success. This repeated failure to deliver as promised has left me frustrated and upset, especially with supervisors making false claims about the paper being on its way. As a long-time subscriber who relies on the newspaper, I feel disappointed by the lack of accountability and integrity in these repeated failed delivery attempts. I am hoping for a resolution to this issue as soon as possible. Thank you, Herb Byron.

Please terminate my subscription immediately and permanently. I strongly urge for Virginia Heffernan to be removed. It seems she has been influenced by extreme ideologies which have infiltrated educational institutions. Her views appear to be quite radical. It feels like she may be a supporter of cancel culture, displaying intolerant behavior similar to McCarthyism. Let's not forget to show appreciation to those who help us, like a neighbor who clears snow. I believe that the millions of conservatives I am in contact with will uphold the principles of our constitution.

I emailed Ralph Drew on Feb. 7 regarding permission to use an image in my upcoming textbook. I am the author of "Ethics for Bioengineering Scientists: Treating Data As Clients," to be published by CRC Press this summer. I requested to include an image from an article titled "Agency admits error in approval of knee implant" by Andrew Zajac, published in the L.A. Times on October 15, [redacted]. Despite sending the email, I have not received any acknowledgment. I also left voicemails at the numbers [redacted] and [redacted] without any response. I am seeking assistance on how to proceed with this matter. Thank you. - Howard Winet, Ph.D., Adjunct Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Bioengineering, UCLA

Attention: Jill Andersen, Vice President of Customer Service
I am a customer of over 40 years and I recently experienced an issue when trying to make a payment. I called multiple times to settle the payment over the phone, but my card was never charged. I am concerned that the overseas customer service representatives might have accessed my card information without authorization. Eventually, I made a successful payment using the automated system, although I have not received a bill yet. This level of customer service is unacceptable.
I am requesting a credit for the inconveniences caused and I would like to receive my bill physically at my home as I am disabled and prefer not to have any potential security risks with my billing. I am considering switching to another service provider if these issues persist.
Kindly address these concerns promptly and ensure that customer service representatives are proficient in English for effective communication.
Thank you,
Jill M.

We did not receive our LA Times on 6/21, 6/22, 6/23, 6/24, 6/26, 6/27, or 6/28. Despite calling daily and getting credits, we really want our newspaper. Our Sunday Press Enterprise was also missing on 6/27. Both papers usually arrive together by 9:30 am on Sundays and the LA Times by 7 am on weekdays. Our old delivery person would give notice if it was delayed, but she no longer works here. We heard about the cyberattack but doubt it caused 7 out of 8 days of missed delivery. We need the physical paper as we can't read digitally. Our local shop no longer sells papers. Please help us get our newspaper.

M&D Maez

Last week, I contacted the Ventura County Star to cancel my subscription at the end of the billing cycle, which was yesterday. During the call, I inquired about the delivery team being different from the Los Angeles Times. Since canceling Ventura County Star, I haven't received my active subscription to the LA Times. I didn't request the cancellation from the LA Times, so this unauthorized action is frustrating, and it's the second time it's occurred. I've tried calling multiple times but haven't been able to speak to a live person. It's important to fix this issue promptly and extend my subscription to cover the missed delivery days.

I am experiencing significant difficulties with my Los Angeles Times subscription. I am seeking contact from a staff member based in the LA Times office, rather than a representative from an overseas call center with limited authority to resolve my issue.
Despite being on autopay for many years, my print plus subscription was abruptly terminated on October 28th. Following my inquiry, I was informed by a call center representative that my credit card payment had been declined and was advised to consult my bank.
Notably, I did not receive any prior notification regarding account issues and upon checking with my bank, it was confirmed that there had been no rejections of charges related to the LA Times.
To address the situation, I decided to resubscribe using a different payment card. Nevertheless, I have yet to receive any newspapers or communication from the LA Times. Although the new card was initially charged, the transaction appeared as pending, but subsequently disappeared from my credit card statement.
While I did receive a phone call yesterday following multiple requests, my subsequent attempt to return the call was unsuccessful, as I could only leave a voicemail message. Given the challenges faced by the newspaper industry, it is crucial that loyal subscribers are valued and provided with exceptional service.

I requested multiple times for my mom's newspaper to be delivered directly to the front door as she is older and it is a safety concern. Despite assurances, this has not been happening. Additionally, the delivery person has asked for a tip, which is inappropriate. The address is [redacted] Royal Oak Place for Dorothy O. I, her daughter Heidi, can be reached at [redacted]. I expect a call today to confirm this issue will be resolved. It is crucial that the paper is delivered to the doorstep daily. I have already contacted customer service multiple times to address this matter. Your immediate attention and assistance are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I did not receive the Saturday or Sunday editions of the LA Times. I am very upset. I contacted the automated number on both days - Saturday at 9:00 a.m., Sunday at 7:00 a.m., and 8:45 a.m. I was at the LA Times Book Festival most of Sunday and missed the email edition. Today, when I tried to access the Sunday email edition, I got today's edition instead. How can I receive the Sunday email edition? My frustration has now doubled!

As long-time subscribers for approximately 40 years, we are extremely disappointed with the current state of the paper delivery service provided. The recurring issue of missing deliveries, particularly on weekdays and even on weekends, is unacceptable. Despite reporting the problem through the automated system and requesting replacement papers, we have yet to receive them. Most recently, our Tuesday paper did not arrive.
We are exhausted with paying the full subscription fee for such poor service and the lack of concern from customer support. The papers are often found in unsuitable locations like the gutter or on the public sidewalk instead of being placed on our accessible driveway. We are not seeking a refund but a resolution to ensure consistent and reliable delivery in the future. We eagerly await a response from the newspaper with a viable solution.

For the past four months, I have requested for my papers to be delivered to my porch weekly. Despite assurances that it would be taken care of, I have not received a single paper on my porch during this time. For the past 18 years, the papers were delivered to my porch without any request until four months ago. The carrier seems to pass by my 30-foot porch, which is only 5 feet from the driver. This is a handicap subscription, and the situation has worsened in the last four weeks with papers landing on the road multiple times. The carrier shows no concern for where the paper lands, often leaving it on the sidewalk or in the flower bed. The lack of attention to delivery location is unacceptable, and the carrier's behavior needs to be addressed promptly.

I'm disappointed with the lack of games and TV/radio details in the new sports format. I have been a subscriber for over fifty years, and I strongly disagree with this editorial decision. During my morning walks from 6-7 AM, I see fewer people picking up the LATimes. Previously, everyone used to read it. Without the daily sports schedule, I am contemplating canceling my subscription. It's time to consider getting a new editor and reinstating the daily sports schedule. - Leland F. from Pacific Palisades, CA

I am disappointed with the recent decline in coverage in the Times sports section. Despite my efforts to email my complaints, I have not received any meaningful response. The provided email addresses seem antiquated or no longer in use. The changes made have drastically reduced the quality of the sports section, leaving out essential information such as scores, standings, schedules, statistics, and game coverage. I have been a loyal subscriber to the Times for 60 years, but the recent alterations have ruined a once-enjoyable product. I prefer traditional newspapers to online sources or amateur newsletters. The Times seems to be diminishing with each cut made. While I greatly respect Mr. Shiong, I believe he has overlooked the importance of maintaining the sports section's quality. I am deeply upset and may need to reconsider my subscription. I understand the sentiments expressed in the letters to the editor. Feel free to publish my feedback as a farewell to a beloved publication. Sincerely, Irving Bauman.
