I bought a Kenmore Refrigerator (model number [redacted]3.[redacted]) in December [redacted] but only started using it in April [redacted]. Sadly, the fridge recently stopped cooling leading to food spoilage, including stored breastmilk. An appliance repairman diagnosed that the LG linear compressor, a common component in Kenmore fridges, had failed due to a design flaw. Upon contacting LG, they declined to assist since it's branded as Kenmore. Sears/Kenmore offered to cover only the compressor cost, not labor, with a brief 90-day warranty and a high chance of re-failure. Issue: Compressor failure in a 2 1/2-year-old refrigerator due to a known design flaw. Desired Resolutions: 1. Full coverage of repair costs by Kenmore/Sears, including labor. 2. Pay for repair, but receive a 2-year warranty from Kenmore/Sears. 3. Refund for the refrigerator's cost. 4. Purchase a new refrigerator from Sears sans LG parts at a discounted rate with removal of the faulty unit.

I am currently staying at my sister's house in Canada. Her Kenmore range, which is about 10 years old, has a flashing message on the control panel. Under the time display, it shows "a) oven," "b) preheat," and "c) DOOR LOCKED," with the green light flashing next to it. Local technicians refused to fix it, so I am seeking advice on whether it can be repaired and an estimate of the cost. I need it fixed because I plan to cook a turkey for Christmas. I tried contacting Kenmore customer service but had no success as there was no one available to assist me over the phone. I hope to find a solution soon as dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives who lack product knowledge has been frustrating.

I recently purchased a Kenmore top mount refrigerator, model [redacted], from Sears, and on 12/11/19, while cleaning the glass shelf, it shattered into many pieces, causing a mess. Despite contacting Sears customer care multiple times, I could not get a resolution regarding the shattered shelf. I was informed that a replacement would cost $[redacted].87 or a one-year warranty for $[redacted].99. I expressed my concern about the safety issue and requested contact information for Kenmore manufacturer to address the root cause of the defect. Unfortunately, I was unable to make progress through Sears customer care and hope to find assistance in resolving this matter.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite dishwasher model [redacted]2N612 from our local Sears store to replace our old Kenmore that worked well for 18 years. We got the new one about 9 months ago, but it doesn't clean the dishes properly. After each wash, there are small food particles left on them. I always clean the screen and filter, but it doesn't seem to help. With the old model, I didn't have to pre-clean dishes, so I wonder if this new dishwasher is installed incorrectly or has another issue. It feels like it's just recycling the food particles. Why are there a filter and screen if they don't prevent the particles from staying on the dishes? I expected better performance from this new dishwasher.

We bought a 36" Kenmore Elite cooktop in [redacted] and had it installed in [redacted]. It has never worked correctly and is very dangerous to use. Despite warranty-covered regulator, orifices, and service visits, the issue persists. Lighting the cooktop results in delayed ignition with large flames or failure to light at all. The burner flames appear orange. A repairman visited on 02/28/20 and suggested contacting Kenmore due to safety concerns. We purchased top-tier Kenmore appliances for our new home. The gas cooktop manual is for models [redacted]3 & [redacted]3. Urgent resolution is needed. Thank you, Dave S.

I am experiencing issues with my refrigerator's water and ice functions. After replacing the ice maker without resolution, I tested the water supply valve and ordered a new one from Kenmore. My model is [redacted]1, and I am unsure about the water supply system in my fridge. There is a main water line connected to the supply valve, which then splits inside the refrigerator. Despite blowing into the line leading to the ice maker without obstruction, water only comes out of the drinking water outlet and not the ice maker. I am puzzled by this water distribution discrepancy and would appreciate any insights.

I bought a Kenmore Elite vacuum on 10-20-18, sales check #[redacted]34. The model is #[redacted]0. Lately, the vacuum has become very difficult to push, requiring all my strength. I've noticed that all the brushes on the agitator roller have worn off, likely causing the issue. After talking to Parts Direct, I found out the agitator roller for this model costs $[redacted] to replace. Considering I paid $[redacted] for the whole vacuum, I don't think this part should have worn out in the 17 months I've owned it. I believe Kenmore should address this issue. While considering an extended warranty may have helped in hindsight, a part this costly shouldn't wear out so quickly. I am hoping Sears will take some action on this matter as a loyal customer.

I bought a Kenmore Elite Induction range #[redacted] on Dec. 6, [redacted]. On March 17th, the burner made a loud pop when my wife tried to warm a pot, and since then, nothing on the range has been working. I contacted Kenmore service and was directed to Frigidaire for repair. After a technician found faulty components, I was informed the parts were out of stock and wouldn't be available until late June at best. Frigidaire suggested replacing the range, but they claim it's Kenmore's responsibility as they own the brand. Kenmore, however, insists that Frigidaire should handle the replacement. After approximately 7 weeks without a working range, I am caught in the middle of this back-and-forth between the two companies. As a 79-year-old with my 71-year-old wife, I'm seeking assistance from someone with authority to help resolve this matter promptly.

My refrigerator broke down in early March and it's still not fixed. Each time they set up a repair appointment, it got canceled on the scheduled day and pushed back by about a month. When I called, I had to wait on hold for hours due to a high volume of calls. I even got transferred to the wrong company at one point. I can't claim for the food I've lost until the service person confirms it was due to the refrigerator's fault. I won't purchase Kenmore again, and I want to spread the word to others. The new repair date is set for July 23, causing me to miss work and inconvenience those who help me at home.

The way Kenmore is treating its customers is appalling, especially during these tough times. I recently had a Kenmore gas oven with a faulty ignition, which a Kenmore repair technician fixed by replacing the part in under an hour. However, the total cost was over $[redacted], with the labor alone amounting to $[redacted].55, far exceeding the $78 part cost. I was given the option of reducing the cost by signing up for a $50 monthly warranty on all kitchen equipment, which wasn't worth it for me as my appliances already had warranties. Alternatively, I could have paid $[redacted] for the service fee and buy a new oven, but the labor cost seemed excessive. I am deeply disappointed in Kenmore's billing practices and will not be purchasing their products again. I recommend others to steer clear of Kenmore as well.

I have a Kenmore Elite refrigerator/freezer that stopped working properly after the 1-year warranty expired. I had a technician inspect it and was informed that it required a replacement inside part. Since I didn't have an extended warranty, I will need to cover the labor costs. Initially, I couldn't proceed with the repair due to the estimated $[redacted] labor fee. Two months later, I saved up the money, but when the technician returned, they didn't have the correct parts, which now cost almost as much as a new refrigerator, including labor. This delay means I have to wait an additional month for the correct parts to arrive. Upon delivery, I injured my back while lifting the heavy box. I recently received a Kenmore 20.8 cu.ft. top freezer refrigerator from Amazon. The delivery was on Tuesday. Following the instructions, I left it plugged in for 24 hours. Despite the initial coolness, after 4 hours, the temperature was not as expected, with the freezer freezing the ice but the refrigerator at 68 degrees. I have tried troubleshooting by unplugging, adjusting the thermostat, and following the manual and Amazon tech advice. Yet, even after 48 hours, the temperature remains at 50 degrees. Hello, I am reaching out regarding our Kenmore Coldspot refrigerator model [redacted]0. A few weeks back, the plastic container on the fridge door broke and I temporarily repaired it with glue and tape. Recently, I noticed that the other two plastic door bins have also cracked in the same place. I have photos of all three bins showing the cracks if necessary. I have started repairing them to prevent them from completely breaking off. With three cracks occurring in the same spot on different bins, could this be a "product design flaw"? We bought a Kenmore Elite Frontload washing machine about 2 years ago, and this is now the third time we've had to buy and install the propeller for the drain system. Is there a recall for this part? If not, there should be one. We thought we purchased a reliable appliance as we have both the washer and dryer, but the washer seems to have a flaw. It's frustrating to keep having the same part fail. Where can I report this mechanical issue? Initially, we paid a repairman around $[redacted], but my son, a licensed contractor, repaired it the last two times. What should we do next? Are we stuck with a faulty machine, or will the company recognize that there is a recurring problem with this appliance that needs addressing?

In May [redacted], we purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator. During a service call, we discovered that the compressor had stopped working. Despite multiple repair attempts by Sears technicians, the refrigerator could not be completely fixed. Sears has agreed to replace the appliance, but I have not been informed of the specific size, style, or brand I will be receiving. I originally had a Kenmore Elite Model [redacted].[redacted] and would prefer a similar replacement. It was not my fault that the compressor failed before the warranty ended, nor was it my fault that Sears technicians were unable to repair the product. I recently had a terrifying experience with my Kenmore oven. While baking a tray of pizza at [redacted] degrees, the front glass suddenly exploded into tiny shards, causing a loud noise and scattering glass all over my kitchen. I was unfortunately close to the oven and ended up with scratches on my face, arms, and feet from fleeing the scene. The oven was purchased from Lowe's but is out of warranty. I am puzzled as to how the glass could shatter like this, especially without any direct impact. This poses a serious safety concern for customers as it could have resulted in much more serious injuries. I have photographic evidence of the incident.

I wanted to share a compliment, not a complaint. I have a Space Master Freezer from your company that has been with me for nearly 45 years! Yes, you read that correctly, 45 years. Given to my husband and me by my parents as a housewarming gift, when we bought our first home, it was a model [redacted] with a capacity of 15.1 cubic feet. Surprisingly, all the original stickers with this information are still intact. This freezer has been a constant in our lives through both happy and sad times. Now a widow for three years and retired, I care for my 92-year-old mother, who, like my Kenmore freezer, is still going strong. I am grateful for both of them. Recently, I faced a setback as my refrigerator broke down along with my old dishwasher, causing me to consider purchasing a new freezer. With upcoming travel plans, I am worried about the food in my freezer if anything goes wrong while I am away. I am hoping a new freezer will bring me the same luck as my trusty Kenmore, but I am a bit skeptical. If ever needed, I would gladly serve as a spokesperson to testify to the durability of your products. Thank you for the many good years with my freezer.

I purchased the Kenmore [redacted] Red Speed Blender but have been unable to contact Kenmore for assistance. I bought it through Sears, which is now closed, and the blender is stuck on high speed as soon as it's plugged in. Despite being new, it has already malfunctioned, making it dangerous and concerning to use. I had to purchase another blender as a replacement, rendering the Kenmore blender a waste of money since it was only used a few times before encountering this issue.

After moving my Kenmore Elite refrigerator model [redacted]3.[redacted], I had to remove and reinstall the doors. The issue now is that the door alarm keeps chiming and the fridge is not as cold as the set temperature. Upon inspection, I found some frost on the hinge side where the openings for the ice maker are located. Despite not spotting any gaps in the seals, the air filter light remains on. I tried cleaning the existing filter with a compressor, but the change filter indicator won't turn off.
