Dear Jif customer service, I recently discovered a concern with the large container of Creamy peanut butter. I believe it is necessary to review your safety procedures with the appropriate department. Upon biting into a peanut butter sandwich, I found unusually long strands of hair, nearly a foot in length. I have photographic evidence available for your reference. It appears that there may be some oversight in plant safety protocols. It is possible that an employee was not adequately dressed or prepared for their shift. Please investigate this matter further. My name is David H., and you can reach me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] I am willing to share the photos with you. Just to clarify, the hair did not belong to me or anyone in my household, as I am a male with short hair, and our dogs have a different type of hair. Thank you.

Dear Jif customer service, I wanted to bring to your attention a small issue I encountered with your creamy peanut butter in the large container. I believe it is important to review your safety procedures within your division. Recently, I found almost a foot-long double strand of hair in my sandwich after using your product. I have photographic evidence of this occurrence. It seems that there may be some lapses in safety at your plant. It's possible that someone was not properly dressed for their shift or in a hurry to leave. Please investigate this matter further. My name is David H., and you can reach me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] for the photos. I want to clarify that the hair did not belong to anyone in my household, as I am male with short hair, and my two dogs also have different fur. Thank you.

There seems to be an issue with the Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter I bought. The product has too much oil, making it runny and unappetizing. I am hoping to receive a coupon for a replacement jar. Regarding the ingredients, why does Jif use palm oil instead of peanut oil? Palm oil production leads to environmental issues as it involves clearing native plants to plant palm trees, harming the local ecosystem. I am looking to get a coupon for a 40 oz jar of Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter. Thank you.

I recently purchased a new jar of Jiff creamy peanut butter. Upon opening it, I used a sharp knife to cut the seal. Unfortunately, the knife ended up scratching the surface of the peanut butter. To my disappointment, I found a hair in the jar which I removed before encountering another longer hair. I discarded the first hair but have a photo of the second one. I can supply the numbers on the jar if needed.

As a BA English Major, I am struggling to determine the status of the recall regarding the May Jiff salmonella advisory. I have not found any reports online that clearly differentiate between the lot number and the bar code number. For example, my Costco 96oz two-jar Jif Creamy Peanut Butter has a bar code number on the wrapper that reads 51[redacted]5 with no "Lot Number" specified. Both jars have a bar code that reads 51[redacted]4, suggesting they are included in the recall.
It's crucial to understand the distinction between the TEN DIGIT bar code number and the lot number. The lot number for both jars is [redacted]2 36. If mistaken for the THIRTEEN DIGIT number, I might have consumed the jars, potentially risking exposure to salmonella.
There seems to be a lack of clarity in differentiating these numbers for consumers. Immediate clarification from both the company and the media about which number to consider is necessary to avoid any health risks associated with possible salmonella contamination.
I have this information documented for reference if needed.

I am a volunteer with Scouts BSA and am organizing a weekend-long leadership and skills training course for NYC Venturers (ages 14 to 20, coed) and their adult leaders. We aim to accommodate the 50 to 75 expected participants. We plan to offer peanut butter as an alternative to our regular meals, but all consumables must be individually packaged for safety reasons. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Lorri McGregor

I discovered bits of paper in my peanut butter jar, scattered throughout. Initially, I thought it was my imagination, but then the paper started dissolving on the inside of my lips, causing a burning sensation like bits of glass. I couldn't remove it, and I am unsure how much I may have ingested. This experience is distressing as I have been consuming Jif peanut butter since I was six, mostly having it in sandwiches for school lunches. I am now 66 years old, dependent on food stamps, SSA, and SSI, with limited finances. Could I please request a refund for this product? Thank you. My name is William Preston King, located at [redacted] North Branch Rd, Boca Raton, FL [redacted]. You can reach me on my cell at [redacted]. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
