On Friday, July 16, [redacted], I decided to treat my husband, father-in-law, and myself to breakfast after two years, choosing IHOP as our local dining spot. Unfortunately, our experience last night was disappointing. Upon receiving our meals, I noticed a hair on my plate and politely brought it to the waiter's attention. Surprisingly, the waiter's reaction was not what I expected. He exclaimed, "EWWW, THAT'S NASTY, I WILL FIX IT," and promptly returned with the same dish within 30 seconds. When I questioned if the meal was simply transferred to a new plate, the staff member nonchalantly confirmed this. I requested to speak with the manager, who reluctantly identified himself after some reluctance. Despite expressing my disappointment and the lack of respect shown, the manager only offered apologies and asked if we were ready to pay. This experience left such a bad taste that we have decided never to return to IHOP, and I will be sharing this incident with friends and family.

During our visit to the IHOP in Waterloo, Iowa on Sunday, 7/18/21, my experience was disappointing. Upon being seated and placing our drink and food orders, we waited for 35 minutes without any updates from our waitress. After inquiring about our food, we were told it was being prepared and should arrive soon. While waiting, we noticed others being served promptly. The manager eventually apologized, offering a 20% discount. However, I believe restaurants should take responsibility for errors, regardless of financial compensation. Despite the kind gesture from nearby diners offering to pay for our meal, I declined. The only positive aspect of the visit was the generosity of the neighboring table. Leaving unhappy, I feel establishments should prioritize improved service over reimbursing for mistakes.

I started my job at IHOP located at [redacted] Northwest 42nd Avenue, [redacted], on July 19, [redacted]. As an African American who doesn't speak Spanish, I noticed that most of the employees there speak Spanish. On my first day, I overheard them saying negative things about me in Spanish, which made me feel unwelcome. Despite trying my best, I often received criticism for making mistakes instead of receiving assistance. One specific employee with curly red hair, tattoos behind her ear and arms, who was always loud, was particularly rude to me for no apparent reason. On July 24th, [redacted], I made the decision to quit due to the mistreatment from my colleagues. When I requested a meeting with the manager, GIO, to discuss my concerns, I was met with a dismissive response. It is disheartening to leave a job I had planned to stay at for a year, but feeling unwelcome and unsupported by my coworkers made it an untenable situation.

During my first visit on Tuesday, I ordered two turkey dinners for the 55+ menu and paid by credit card. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the staff informed me that they were out of turkey and even the sirloin tips were missing mushrooms. They had to contact the unavailable manager for approval, which could only be resolved the next day. I did not receive any compensation or gesture of goodwill. On my return that night for the same order, I ensured the items were in stock and paid. However, upon reaching my hotel, I discovered the broccoli was bad and not suitable for serving. Additionally, both meals lacked cranberry sauce and gravy. This experience was disappointing, and I will not be returning. It is essential to organize and retrain your staff to ensure accurate orders and avoid serving spoiled food. If necessary, I have a picture of the spoiled broccoli. Additionally, I faced issues with the website, as it did not function correctly when trying to input the Palm Bay restaurant location.

I have been a loyal customer at the IHOP in McKinney, TX for the past 9 years, visiting every Saturday morning. Unfortunately, last Saturday on October 2, my usual experience took a disappointing turn. Despite placing my order promptly with our regular waiter, Adan, we waited for 30 minutes without receiving our food. After inquiring about the delay, Adan seemed unhelpful, leading us to request to speak with the manager. To our dismay, the manager's response was lackluster, only resulting in our cold food being hastily served. Feeling dissatisfied with the service, we left without finishing our meal. It's perplexing why the manager had to intervene for our food to be served, leaving us with a negative impression. As a result of this experience, we have decided not to return to this establishment.

I had a terrible experience at this place. I ordered online for pick-up at 10:40 am, but there were issues with the system. Upon arrival at 11:15 am, the host blamed corporate for the delay. I was informed they didn't have Poblanos for the omelette I wanted. The staff seemed confused about the menu options. They estimated a 20-minute wait, but my order was still not ready when I returned. The staff blamed the cooks for the delay and were disorganized. When my order finally arrived, it was incorrect, missing items, and my wife's egg white omelette contained flour, a problem for her gluten allergy. The other omelette had too much cheese and was missing ingredients. I am very dissatisfied and demanding a full refund. I won't be returning to this IHOP. I have pictures to support my claim. Feel free to reach out if necessary.

I have health issues that cause chronic pain and other problems. I called in sick to work on 12/2/[redacted] due to a constant cough and mentioned to Manager Brandi that I was unwell and taking cough medicine. Despite not having medical insurance for a doctor's visit, I was asked to bring a doctor's excuse if it got worse as it was not deemed life-threatening. On my return to work on 12/03/[redacted], Manager Brandi embarrassed me by raising her voice publicly in front of other employees and customers. I feel there are issues with management at IHOP, and I have not received proper training compared to others. I believe Manager Brandi's behavior is unwarranted and vindictive, potentially sabotaging my job. I have consulted with a lawyer, and if necessary, further action will be taken. Thank you for your time and understanding.

I had a disappointing experience at Sterling Road in Independence, MO. The service was rude, with the night shift staff being disrespectful and using foul language. Despite ordering for both myself and my girlfriend, our order was never received even after waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Other customers who arrived after us were served promptly. The waitress kept telling us our order was being prepared, but after waiting for an additional 30 minutes, she claimed it was just starting to be cooked. We saw multiple customers come and go while we were left waiting. When we inquired about our order, the waitress responded rudely. Despite requesting to speak with a manager, no one addressed our concerns. Frustrated, we left without receiving anything.

Dear IHOP Real Estate Site Selection Team,
Subject: Recommendation for store location
I am suggesting that you consider South Haven, MI, specifically I-[redacted] Exit 18, as a new store location. The ideal spot would be at Exit 18 on I-[redacted] in Michigan. The recently cleared lot at a Shell Station real estate pad, which used to house an old restaurant called Ma's Coffee Pot, would be perfect for your new store. The Shell station caters to both cars and truckers off the interstate, operating 24 hours a day and providing ample truck parking. The constant flow of trucks coming and going at all hours make this location very appealing.
South Haven, MI, is a sizable city along Lake Michigan, conveniently situated two hours from Chicago, one hour from Grand Rapids, and on the route to South Bend, IN.
Thank you.

This evening, we placed an order online, but when we went to pick it up, we discovered that multiple orders were ahead of ours. Despite waiting over an hour and then calling back, we were informed that our order wasn't even at the store. The manager, who was cooking at the time, refused to speak to us on the phone. We were asked to sit down and were ignored. This situation was incredibly frustrating as my co-worker, who was picking up our dinner, and I have multiple jobs and had limited time to eat. She returned in tears, hungry, after paying for the food. I appreciate your attention to this issue.

I tried to redeem my birthday coupon today at the IHOP located at [redacted] North Military Trail in West Palm Beach, FL. When I presented the coupon to the server, she immediately asked if it was my birthday. Even though my birthday was tomorrow, she insisted I needed to come on the exact birth date. After pointing out that the coupon was valid within 14 days, she consulted the manager and returned with the requirement that I needed to print the coupon with their address on it.
The coupon clearly states it can be redeemed within 14 days of receiving the email for dine-in only. Unfortunately, due to the confusion, I was unable to use the coupon. This experience adds to a series of issues I've encountered while trying to redeem coupons at this restaurant since it switched management. It's disheartening to see the decline in service at a place where I used to enjoy dining. It seems I may have to find an alternative dining spot in the future.

I visited the IHOP in West Chester, Ohio, around 11 a.m. on January 22, [redacted]. Initially chaotic due to the busy service, our server seemed distracted by another table. After a different server took over, I tried to maintain a positive attitude despite the delays. However, the new server responded unprofessionally and was rude to us. Our dishes arrived separately, with no silverware until I requested it multiple times, even from the manager. Despite the cold food, the delayed containers, and the overcharging on our bill for two $9.99 meals, I reluctantly paid and left. This experience was disappointing, and I will not be returning to this poorly managed establishment. West Chester offers many other dining options, and I prefer not to support a business with such inadequate customer service.

On February 21, [redacted], around 2 p.m., I visited IHOP in Kent, WA. Upon arrival, I wasn't promptly seated, and the whole establishment seemed neglected. The tables were dirty, the floor messy, and my own table had coffee rings. The kitchen staff was loud and unprofessional, especially the manager, cooks, and servers. The lack of cleanliness and disorganized service was disappointing. Only my server wore a mask, not in line with the mandatory mask policy. In contrast, the IHOP in Federal Way, WA, maintains a high standard of cleanliness, mask-wearing, and professionalism. The food quality and service there are commendable. My experience in Kent was unsatisfactory with subpar food, disorganization, and overall discomfort. It's unlikely I will return to the Kent location after such a disappointing visit.

I experienced a frustrating situation at the store. Half of my order was missing, and when my husband tried to address it, the staff insisted we received everything. Despite my online receipt showing more items than the one printed in the store, we were met with poor service. The manager's rude response escalated the situation. I called the police seeking a refund, but the restaurant refused to provide one or complete my order. I'm out $86.60 for cold and incomplete food. I hope the corporation can refund me. I won't return to this IHOP and advise others against it due to the disrespectful staff and management. I hope this matter can be resolved promptly.

I visited the IHOP on Allen and Cooley Streets in Springfield, Massachusetts a few months ago. After waiting to be seated and not receiving any service, I left without eating. I decided to give it another try this morning, despite the distance from my house. When I arrived, I provided my name to the girl at the door, and despite being told a 5-minute wait, we ended up waiting 20 minutes with other parties being seated ahead of us. Feeling frustrated, I eventually spoke to the girl and what I assume was the manager about the situation. They were apologetic but explained they had seated larger parties before us. Remembering my previous poor experience with no service even after being seated, I declined their offer to be seated and decided to not return. I plan to reach out to Corporate about my experience and warn others about the service at this particular IHOP. Having dined at many restaurants, IHOP stands out as the worst so far, and I fear for the business if this is a common occurrence nationwide.

To the IHOP corporation,
I am writing to inform you about a distressing incident that occurred at your Salisbury, Maryland location. After attending church, my family decided to have breakfast at IHOP as per my 14-year-old daughter's suggestion. Upon arrival, we noticed the restaurant was busy but were seated at table #5. As we were sitting down, my daughter cut her finger on the chair, resulting in a severe laceration. We rushed her to the emergency room where she received treatment. This traumatic experience has left her scared to dine out. I have attached photos of her injury for reference. I wanted to share this with your company and hope to receive a response soon to address this matter. Thank you for your attention.

I recently dined at your IHOP located near 14th Street NW in Washington, DC. I requested to be seated in the section served by a male waiter, and my order was for a pancake combo. I paid $18.02 for my meal, along with a $3 cash tip. There was a past incident with a female waitress regarding tipping, but I value dining at IHOP, especially being on a fixed retirement income.
After leaving the restaurant, I noticed an unusual smell in my mouth, which was concerning since IHOP was my first meal of the day. I wanted to alert others about potential experiences with staff and the possibility of tampering with customer meals.
Thank you,
Carrie Lou E.

I had a concerning experience at the IHOP in Franklin. There is an employee named Joe Moore who is rude and slow at his job. Additionally, I heard that there are bedbugs in his apartment, which is worrying because bedbugs can transfer onto his clothes. I believe this issue should be addressed with the employee because it could lead to a bedbug infestation at the restaurant. Joe Moore works at the IHOP on Murfreesboro Rd in Franklin, TN. If I return to the restaurant and he is still working there, I may have to contact the Health Department. It's concerning to witness him working with a bedbug crawling on his pants. This situation needs to be resolved promptly to avoid any further complications.

My family had an awful experience at the Tupelo location. The service was bad from start to finish. The hostess was unhelpful and kept saying she was new and didn't know what to do. After waiting and seeing available tables, the staff was idle. Once seated, the manager was rude about our seating. The waitresses were terrible, chatting and neglecting us. Our food took an hour due to kitchen confusion. A roach even appeared on our table, which the managers ignored. One manager was disrespectful, saying all restaurants have roaches. It was the worst service ever. The lack of name tags made it hard to identify the staff. Despite the experience, we still had to pay full price for our meal.

I have been attempting to place an online order at IHOP to avoid waiting in long lines at the restaurant. Whenever I try to use my free pancake coins to feed my family, the order won't go through. I have faced rude staff and delays in processing orders due to high demand. After making multiple trips to the restaurant due to technical issues and my broken-down truck, I am frustrated. I need to feed my family of six, especially with my kids having school the next day. Due to the inconvenience caused, I kindly request a $50 gift certificate to be emailed to me as compensation for my time wasted.
