Upon arriving at the IHOP on Crestwood Blvd in Birmingham, AL, my family and I experienced a deeply disappointing situation. Despite our love for IHOP and our excitement to dine at this location for the first time, we were left standing at the front for 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. It pains me to say that it seemed we were being discriminated against for being white. As we were overlooked, a black lady entered, and the staff promptly greeted and seated her. This experience left me feeling hurt, embarrassed, upset, and incredibly uncomfortable. Discrimination should have no place in any establishment, regardless of the color or nationality of the patrons. The urgency with which the staff attended to the black lady contrasted starkly with their indifference towards us. Eventually, we were assisted, but the disrespect we felt lingered. Every individual, regardless of color or background, deserves equal and respectful treatment. This incident has left me saddened and frustrated, as no one should face such mistreatment simply based on their race.

To Whom It May Concern, My husband and I were in New York for a family emergency when we visited the New Hartford NY location at [redacted] French Rd #[redacted]. Despite our difficult circumstances, we had a concerning experience with the payment process. After being charged multiple times for our meal, we encountered issues trying to resolve the situation with the manager. It was distressing to see our bank account affected amidst dealing with a loss in the family. Despite assurances, the matter took longer to resolve, causing frustration. I believe the restaurant did not handle the situation properly, and I seek clarification on the matter. Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Kimberly Koagel

I want to express my gratitude for serving the most delicious pancakes in the universe. Whenever we visit the IHOP on Western Avenue in Amarillo, Texas, it becomes a special stop for us on our journey. While it's a 65-mile drive from our small town of Pampa, Texas, with a population of 18,[redacted], we truly wish we had our own IHOP closer by. Small towns like ours often miss out on such great dining experiences. If IHOP could consider expanding to smaller towns like ours, it would surely attract a lot of business from locals who can't make the long trip to dine at IHOP. If you ever decide to introduce burgers (if you haven’t already), please continue to prioritize your amazing pancakes, omelets, and other delicious menu items that we love. Keep up the great work!

I visited IHOP Store #[redacted] located at [redacted] Greenway Drive, Jackson, MS [redacted] on June 16, [redacted], for dinner with my wife. We both ordered from the 55+ menu, with her choosing the chicken strips and I the chicken fried steak. The waitress seemed inexperienced and struggled with taking our orders. Initially, my meal was served without country gravy, and when it finally arrived, I received a very small amount in a tiny bowl. When I requested more, the night manager's response was lacking. My wife's meal was also delayed. Despite the restaurant's low customer count, the service was subpar with no drink refills and a lengthy wait time for our meals. Having visited numerous IHOP locations across the country, this experience was disappointing and stands out as one of the worst in terms of service quality.

I recently took my granddaughter to IHOP for breakfast last Sunday. She ordered the Create a Face pancake but couldn't have milk or lemonade due to being lactose intolerant. Instead, she asked for juice. To my surprise, I was charged $1.99 for the juice separately when I expected it to be included as the menu seemed to suggest. Upon closer inspection, I saw very tiny print stating the extra charge for juice. I don't understand why IHOP charges more for juice when milk and lemonade are not priced the same. Feeling disappointed, I doubt I will return. During the weekend, we dined at Popeye's and Applebee's as well, where the cost of milk, lemonade, and juice for children was consistent. I spoke to friends and co-workers who shared my opinion that juice pricing should be consistent with other beverages.

During our recent visit to your American Fork, Utah location, we encountered extremely poor service. Despite it not being busy, we waited 15 minutes to be seated. The waitress was very rude, throwing straws at us and making us wait 15-20 minutes to take our order. When she didn't assist us, we attempted to pay for our drinks, but the staff ignored us. Frustrated, we left the establishment. This experience was the worst I have ever had, and I felt compelled to bring it to your attention. Despite leaving, we are willing to pay for the beverages we consumed. I eagerly await your response before settling the bill and hope that this issue is addressed promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I recently worked at IHOP in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and was unexpectedly let go for a minor issue. I had informed two out of the three managers well in advance that I wouldn't be available to work on the 24th and 25th due to my graduation party. I even had it written down by one of the managers and left a note in the office. Despite this, the third manager claimed I was scheduled and terminated me for taking those days off. I requested the boss's contact information, but haven't received a response in the last 30 minutes. I hope to resolve this matter promptly, so please reach out to me.

I am currently employed as a host at IHOP. Recently, a manager named Topher instructed me in a rude manner to clock out and go home when I tried to seat a group of customers. When I questioned him, he mentioned that another manager, Lori, had asked me to leave early. Topher's tone and attitude towards me in front of customers were unnecessary and unprofessional. Despite his objections, I approached Lori in the kitchen to verify, and she confirmed the situation. Topher continued to raise his voice and even attempted to prevent me from confirming with Lori. After speaking to Lori, she reassured me that I am not fired and asked me to return to work the next day. I am deeply upset by Topher's behavior and wish to file a complaint to ensure appropriate action is taken. I take pride in my job, and it is important to me to address this issue as managers should not mistreat employees. I kindly request assistance in addressing this issue promptly as I value my job and serving our customers. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Jaylin Holland, and I was terminated in May. The general manager accused me of stealing something from IHOP and not cooperating to resolve the situation. I unintentionally took something at a friend's house, promptly returning it the next day. A friend's coworker falsely reported me for theft to the assistant manager, ignoring the return of the item. Later, the coworker came to my house and took my shoes. I involved the police, but the assistant manager still asked me to return to work, which I declined due to threats from the coworker, resulting in my termination. While at IHOP, some individuals accused me of stealing money from coworkers' tips, which I did not do. Despite my innocence and lack of evidence, unfair treatment and jealousy led to my dismissal. If you need to reach me, kindly contact me at [redacted] - Jaylin Holland.

The wait time at I Hop in Los Lunas, NM after ordering three burgers was frustratingly long. Just 10 minutes after ordering, we were informed there was no American cheese. Then, the food server returned to say the credit card machine was not working. Another 10 minutes passed before being told there were no hamburger buns and that our burgers could only be made on Texas toast, which was not ideal. After these constant setbacks, our group of three decided to leave but were unexpectedly asked to pay for the lemonade and iced tea. Upon speaking with the manager, who took a while to arrive, we were ultimately told we did not have to pay. The experience left us feeling both annoyed and relieved.

I had a terrible experience at the IHOP in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. During my visit, I found mold in my husband's salad. When I brought it to the manager named Aaron Wilson's attention, he was dismissive and unhelpful. Initially, he even tried to blame it on the server but later admitted to making the salad himself. Despite the unsatisfactory response from the manager and the waitress laughing about the situation, we did not receive any compensation or even a proper apology. I expressed my concerns about the laughter, especially since my husband had a stroke and I was speaking on his behalf. The manager accused me of harassing the waitresses, even though I had not mentioned them directly. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and empathy displayed. It was disappointing that we had to pay for the subpar meal without any resolution to the issue.

I frequently visit the Albuquerque area and always have a meal at IHOP during my trips to different locations. Recently, I went to the IHOP on Ellison Rd. near Cottonwood Mall in Rio Rancho, and it was the worst experience I've had at an IHOP. Despite the restaurant not being busy at 12 pm on a Monday, our table was dirty, and our tea tasted like coffee. After finding out they were out of burgers after we had already chosen from the menu, we settled on Boneless Fried Chicken and cream cheese French toast from a special menu. Unfortunately, the chicken was undercooked, the mashed potatoes were dry, the onion rings lacked flavor, and the cream on the French toast was unpleasant. To add to the disappointment, the interaction between the waitress and cook was awkward, and payment took longer than expected. This experience was unusual, considering my frequent visits to IHOP, and I hope the management takes steps to resolve these issues effectively. -Nicole

I recently dined at the IHOP on NW 64th St KCMO after a long time, hoping to enjoy a quiet dinner with my two children and take advantage of the current promotions. Despite the restaurant not being busy, with only a few occupied tables, we experienced significant delays. From waiting for a table to placing our drink orders and receiving our food, the service was slow. Even when my son accidentally spilled water, I had to clean it up myself with no help offered from the servers. We waited around 45 minutes for the appetizer sampler and even longer for the main courses. By 8:15, exhausted from waiting, I decided to leave without our food. The lack of apology or explanation for the delays was disappointing. Other customers who arrived after us were served before us, indicating a lack of efficiency in service. I hope this IHOP improves its service and timing for a better customer experience in the future.

No me parece justo. No importa la raza, siempre llevo dinero para pagar, ¿esto podría considerarse como racismo?

Today, I went to the IHOP on FM-78 in San Antonio to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, expecting to redeem the Free Birthday Breakfast offer. However, the cashier informed me they no longer honored that promotion. Despite showing her the coupon on my phone, she insisted I download it. On top of this, it was Veterans Day, and my boyfriend is a retired Army veteran. I paid my bill, but left feeling quite disappointed. I am curious if there have been changes to your Birthday Offers program and suggest removing any misleading advertisements from your website. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ms. Machin

I placed an online food order for my family. Upon arriving to pick it up, the worker was not helpful and initially couldn't find my order, insisting it wasn't for me. After showing her my reference number and receipt, she realized it was never made as the kitchen didn't receive it. I ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes for my food, only to find out one item was missing. When I requested a refund, I was denied and had to ask for a supervisor. The supervisor also did not offer a refund and claimed it wasn't their fault. I believe I should have received better service, especially considering the errors made. I am disappointed with the unprofessionalism at the IHOP on Pleasant Run in Lancaster, Texas. My order included 2 steaks with eggs, pancakes, and a kids' meal with cupcake pancakes, eggs, and sausage. I am reaching out to request a refund as I feel mistreated and the service was unsatisfactory.

I have visited the IHOP in Weatherford, Texas, three times this year and have been consistently disappointed by the atmosphere at this location. The excessively loud music could be heard from outside the entrance door, making it impossible to have a conversation at a table for two. Despite speaking to the manager, who offered to lower the volume in our area, the overall noise level remained ear-splitting throughout the rest of the building. If this is the new ambiance IHOP is aiming for, my friends and I will no longer be dining there. We prefer a more tranquil, family-friendly environment when dining out. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - Olene Brown

I visited IHOP store #[redacted] in Grand Rapids, MI on 11/23/18 with a party of 5. We arrived around 11:45 a.m. and were seated at 12 p.m. after a 15-20 minute wait. Although our order was taken promptly at 12:05 p.m., by 12:55 p.m. we had yet to receive our food, while others who came in later had been served. I approached our waitress, [redacted] Jordan V., after waiting for 50 minutes since ordering. After a delay, our food eventually arrived, but the appearance of the dishes suggested they had been sitting for some time. We finished eating around 1:30 p.m., but the receipt showed our order was placed at 12:05 p.m. and the food arrived around 1:05 p.m. Despite enjoying IHOP, the slow service was disappointing, especially with our young granddaughters waiting patiently. Best regards, Alan D. Blanchard

The dining experience started positively, but I encountered issues with my meal. The server didn't accommodate my request to exclude peppers and jalapenos from the Roast Beast omelet, resulting in a spicy dish. When I addressed this, the server became defensive and called the manager. The manager, Ms. Tonya, offered to remake the dish, but I declined, feeling the order should have been correct initially. Miscommunication and a lack of empathy from the staff left me upset. Eventually, they comped the entire meal, a gesture I appreciated but did not request. Unfortunately, the disrespectful behavior from the server discussing our complaint for a free meal outside the restaurant was unprofessional. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I'm hesitant to return to this Ihop location. I wanted to share my feedback here since the corporate office contact information was not provided by the manager.

I had a disappointing experience at the Crestwood, Illinois IHOP. I ordered two big steak omelet meals to go and found hair in the cooked eggs when I got home. Upon returning to the restaurant, the waitress apologized and offered to remake the food, but I asked for a refund due to the long wait. Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't process a refund and the supervisor was unavailable. After contacting customer service, I was offered a $20 IHOP gift card instead of a refund. While I appreciate the gesture, it doesn't cover the full cost of the meal or the inconvenience of three trips to the restaurant. Despite this, I accepted the gift card as a resolution, though it wasn't my preferred outcome.
