I am inquiring about the mileage limitations between franchises. I would appreciate seeing a new franchise open in or around the Vernon/Manchester, Connecticut area. The closest one currently is in Springfield, which is about a 45-minute drive away. This location often has long lines out the door, causing some patrons to leave rather than wait in line. My husband and I have been loyal customers of the Golden Corral in Egg Harbor for many years, traveling from Union Beach, NJ because of our love for the restaurant. However, during our Thanksgiving weekend dinner, we were disappointed for the first time. The turkey, roast beef, and ham were all dried out and overcooked, while the vegetables had been left out for too long. I tried the steak, hoping it was fresh, but it was undercooked. We ended up only eating sweet potatoes, fries, and pizza. I still adore Golden Corral and will continue to dine there, but I wanted to share my recent experience for improvement. I dined at Golden Corral on Thanksgiving. I paid, waited to be seated, and then headed to get food with my family. Unfortunately, we received a family emergency call, forcing us to leave without eating. We informed a worker and called later as instructed. The manager, Mr. Nash, was unsympathetic. Despite explaining our situation and suggesting options like eating for free another time or getting takeout, he refused, stating we left without eating. I feel it's unfair as I paid for a family meal but didn't get to enjoy it. The restaurant was understaffed for the busy Thanksgiving day, making it hard to speak with anyone that day. I believe a refund or a $[redacted] gift card as compensation is reasonable. This occurred at the Bakersfield, California location on Ming Avenue. My receipt number is F-[redacted] for party 1. I believe in recognizing employees for their hard work. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Golden Corral #[redacted] in Port Ritchey, Fla. on the 19th was far from positive. When my boyfriend and I arrived at 3:16 pm, we found many food stations low or empty. After waiting for chicken that was not ready, settling for ham, and encountering cold and undercooked sides, the experience was disappointing. The wait for fresh chicken was lengthy, and the overall food quality was subpar. The interactions with the staff, like the cook forgetting to fry the chicken and the issue with hygiene practices, added to the dissatisfaction. The restroom experience also left much to be desired. I hope that sharing these details will help address these concerns and improve the service for customers moving forward. Thank you for your attention.

On November 22, [redacted], my spouse and I went to Golden Corral in Fredericksburg, VA for Thanksgiving. We arrived at 3:30, not realizing that GC closed at 4:00. We paid for the senior discount, spending just over $35. While my husband enjoys turkey, I prefer tuna salad. Unfortunately, the tuna seemed spoiled, and after notifying the server, I was left disappointed. To my dismay, the turkey I sought for my husband was raw to the bone. A kind gentleman intervened and had it removed. The dessert options were limited, missing my favorite bread pudding. When I inquired, I was reluctantly given a slice of coconut cake. This experience was extremely disappointing as we left without eating $5 worth of food. Despite filling out forms and posting on Facebook, Golden Corral's response has been lacking. I hope to receive a prompt resolution to this matter.

To whom it may concern, my name is James F. My family dined at your Broward County establishment on Pines on February 1st. After initially enjoying what I thought was steak, I discovered it was a different meat. Upon approaching the chef, I overheard other customers upset about being served the wrong meat, which I had unknowingly consumed. I am a spouse of an employee at Golden Corral in Cullman, Alabama. I observed a hostile work environment where my husband, Joshua Randolph, was being mistreated and disrespected by a coworker, Daphne Ballenger. Despite reporting this incident to the manager to address the issue, I was dismissed and not taken seriously. My husband, who suffers from bipolar disorder, needed understanding but instead was threatened with job loss for taking a break. I had an unfortunate experience at dinner on March 2nd, [redacted]. While my partner and I were eating, a team member grabbed my friend's arm, causing his food to fall off the plate onto the bar. He was yelled at and accused of trying to deceive them, which was very embarrassing in front of many people. My friend left without eating, and I only managed to take one bite of my food. The waiter was kind enough to refund the money, but the embarrassment lingers. My friend is disabled, and this behavior was unwarranted. I visited the West Valley Utah Golden Corral on Friday, 03/01/[redacted], with my two daughters and husband. It was a busy evening, but unfortunately, most of the food items were empty. The dessert area had no jello, cones, or any items available, and even the rolls were missing. A soup was spilled behind me, causing a delay in cleaning it up and I had to help prevent anyone from slipping. When I inquired about the situation, a waitress mentioned they were short-staffed. Despite the disappointment with the lack of food and slow service, our waitress Juanita was pleasant and kept our drinks filled. The new restaurant in Syracuse, NY, has experienced three violent altercations involving customers and employees today. When my two daughters and niece visited, an employee who knew my daughter began threatening her with violence and involved other staff members. Although management moved the employee to a different section, the harassment continued while my kids were there. I expect someone from management to contact me as this behavior is unacceptable in a family restaurant. Racist slurs, violence, and threats have no place in such an establishment. The employee even made racist comments towards my daughter because she is white. This situation needs to be addressed promptly.

I recently had BMI surgery limiting my food intake. On a recent visit with my family, I was charged the full price and chastised by the manager for having too much food on my plate, despite only being able to eat a small portion. In the past, I've been charged the children's price, but this time, I felt embarrassed and disrespected. I had to pay over $80 for everyone's meal. I'm confused about the policy since I've had a different experience before. Why did this manager make it so difficult for me this time?

I have frequented Golden Corral many times before and after my weight loss surgery. Recently, I faced inconsistencies in pricing and felt embarrassed. Despite having limited intake due to my surgery, I was asked to pay for an adult-sized meal instead of a child's portion, which felt unjust. I dine at Golden Corral twice a month at the location on [redacted] N Cooper Rd, Gilbert AZ. I usually arrive at 3:45pm to enjoy the afternoon pricing around $10.38. On 9-14-19, I arrived at 3:40pm but got to the register by 4:00pm. I requested the senior discount, mentioning I had been waiting since 3:40pm with just water to drink. To my surprise, I was charged $15.30 for a premium senior meal. After noticing this, I informed a manager who seemed dismissive and walked away. Despite the mix-up, I ended up eating some steak and ribs, although the ribs were undercooked. I have a receipt that I can share via email. I encountered an incredibly rude manager at the Golden Corral. Holding a plate in each hand, I returned to my table, only for him to comment, "You know it's a buffet, right?" If there's a rule about plate-taking, it should be clearly displayed. His words made me feel uncomfortable as if he was mocking my weight. It was unprofessional and embarrassing, leading me to lose my appetite. Management should prioritize friendliness and good customer service. This negative experience, not the first at this location, will unfortunately be the last straw for me. I felt humiliated by his words, and I hope that the restaurant can ensure better standards and teach their managers to be more respectful.

I visited store #[redacted] in Killeen, Texas yesterday and ordered 2 senior dinners. Unfortunately, the buffet had very little food available. Despite waiting 10 minutes at the steak grill, I only received one piece of steak at first. To make matters worse, I witnessed an employee eating food with their hands directly from the buffet. I visited the Golden Corral location in Lufkin, TX around 11:30 a.m. today. Initially, I received a spoonful of dried-out shrimp that was carelessly thrown onto my plate without being asked how much I wanted. I prefer smaller portions due to taste preferences or concerns about food quality. Additionally, a staff member in a black jacket simply said "Hey," which I found to be impolite. I believe basic manners such as "Excuse me" or "Ma'am" should be used in customer service interactions. Lack of proper etiquette led me to rate the customer service as an 'F.' I observed a lack of directional signs in the restaurant. These experiences have left me with a negative impression, and I have decided not to dine at any Golden Corral establishment in the future.

I noticed ants on the table and near where I was seated. I raised the issue with management since it was getting bothersome. They offered me a free buffet coupon, but I felt a refund would have been more appropriate. Management explained that refunds are not possible after some time has passed and asked for a receipt, which I didn't have. After some back and forth, they agreed to look up the transaction using the last four digits of my card. I struggled to access the information on my phone but eventually managed. While waiting for the manager, I was seen killing an ant with a napkin on the table. I reluctantly accepted the coupon, though I believe better customer service would entail immediate refunds for situations like this, no matter how long the guest has been there.

Yesterday afternoon, my sister and I visited Golden Corral #[redacted] in Lafayette, IN. We were very disappointed with our experience. We left shortly after arriving due to the lack of food options and poor quality of the items available. We were particularly disappointed that there was no fish or the signature bourbon street chicken. The dishes we did try were cold, with the baked beans and Mac and cheese being extremely dry and the green beans and chicken noodle soup tasting spoiled. When I tried to get more food, I was reprimanded by the servers for attempting to go back in line. The meat options were subpar, and what I did try was cold, dry, and tasted old. This experience was very disappointing, and we decided to leave without finishing our meal. Despite my disappointment, I chose not to ask for a refund due to feeling humiliated by the earlier incident with the servers. Overall, the $17.21 I paid was definitely not worth it.

I visited two local Golden Corral restaurants in Annapolis and Largo for a Veterans Day meal, as instructed on the website, but no one was there. I called, but there was no answer, just a recording. This is my second attempt to reach out and request the card for our free meals at a later date. Due to Covid-19, I was unable to collect my birthday meal on April 1, and my husband missed his on July 13.
