I have been waiting for months for a determination on my claim status. Initially, the website mentioned that my eligibility was pending determination. However, I was still able to claim each week while waiting. Recently, I was contacted, answered some questions, and was told to expect a determination letter in the mail in 5-7 days. Despite not receiving the letter yet, the claim status page no longer shows pending determination but still displays my amounts. I am unsure if this is a positive sign or if I should seek legal assistance. I am looking for any guidance or similar experiences from the community. Thank you.

I applied for my unemployment benefits on March 29th, [redacted]. Last month, I was informed that my benefits were denied back in November because I applied before the pandemic. However, on MyUI it states that I am supposed to receive benefits backdated to March 29th, [redacted]. I have reached out multiple times through calls, messages, emails, and even contacted my commissioner to no avail. I have filed two appeals but have not heard anything back. It indicates I should be receiving PUA benefits as I have certified every week. Can someone please assist me with this issue? I have proof they are receiving my messages as I get emails when I update my payment method. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am exhausted from being homeless and struggling.

I was approved for PUA benefits in June [redacted], and my first claim payment was issued in July [redacted]. I initially wanted it deposited into my boyfriend's account, but it got rejected. After being on hold for a while, I had to use ID.me to verify my identity in March [redacted]. Once I did, the system found my backdated claims and started processing them. However, my brother tampered with my account, causing further issues. After contacting various departments and finally speaking to a helpful lady at the Georgia Department of Labor, I provided my tax transcripts. It's been six weeks, and despite my constant emails, I am still waiting for updates. This long process has caused me to lose my car, home, and I find myself on the street without even money for a hotel. I am desperate for assistance after a year of struggling.

I was approved for unemployment benefits under the PUA program, but unfortunately, I have not received any payments yet. I have been attempting to contact the Department of Labor to schedule an appointment to discuss my concerns in-person, but have not received a response. I am concerned that the individual who assisted me with my initial claim may have engaged in fraudulent activities. If someone from the Department of Labor could kindly reach out to me at [redacted], I would be extremely grateful. Thank you.

I filed for Unemployment Benefits on 11/3, the day after losing my job. I haven't received any communication since then, and I'm unable to access anything online due to my pin not working, even after resetting it. Despite leaving several messages and contacting the Commissioner via email, I haven't had any luck. It seems like many others are facing the same issue based on online reviews dating back months. I'm actively job hunting and have had interviews, but I need assistance to get me through this period as a single mother of four. The process seems unnecessarily challenging, and I hope for some resolution soon. Thank you, Lauren

In November [redacted], I filed for unemployment after getting fired following an illness. Despite having evidence to support my case, my boss's family members made false accusations against me, and my employer didn't support me. This resulted in difficulties with receiving payments. I persisted in filing claims, appealing, and reaching out for months, with no response. Eventually, my employer rehired me for six months in March but was later replaced by family members who began firing employees. I was let go again, and my attempts to file claims have been met with silence. The situation became sour due to disagreements over payment and commission structures, leading to unprofessional behavior from the new management.

My former employer had to be determined because the one I initially filed for failed to report wages, causing a delay. I submitted a claim for two jobs, but one was denied with the reason stating it was my fault, even though I was asked for more information too late. I was supposed to be contacted by the claim examiner from the other job, which was actually not my last employer. The employer I didn't get a chance to provide more information to turned out to be the last one. I feel frustrated about having to appeal when I could have given more details to the last employer following the wage investigation. It's confusing why I wasn't given enough time for additional information since the examiner processed the claim earlier than I was informed by the employer. I just want a fair chance to respond.
