I am comparing two Fender Precision Bass pickup sets: 1. Genuine Fender Precision Bass Original Pickups Set Kit (Black - [redacted]-[redacted]) 2. Fender Original [redacted] P Bass Pickup (item# [redacted][redacted]) Both listings on eBay have the same image and Fender description. However, the 62RI pickup specifies it is a split-coil humbucking pickup made with Alnico V magnets, enamel-coated magnet wire, and cloth output wires. The other pickup is made with Alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire, providing the humbucking punch and boom typical of electric bass guitars. I am wondering if there is any noticeable difference in sound quality between these two pickups.

Here's a heartwarming tale to share: I accidentally left my 2-year-old Rumble 40 bass amp out in the rain overnight. When I discovered it, there was water sloshing around inside. Thinking it was ruined, I removed the water, separated the amp from the cabinet, and air-dried them both for a couple of days. I recently purchased a Hot Rod Blues Jr. and noticed that when I connect my lap steel guitar using a cable from the input, I hear a faint radio station broadcast.
