This is my fourth attempt to reach out regarding my experience at Family Dollar store #[redacted] on Friday night, November 8, [redacted]. I made a purchase totaling $74.09 and used my phone number for coupons, but when I reviewed my receipt, I saw the coupons were not applied. I returned to the store and spoke with Assistant Manager Roseanna, who remembered me and confirmed I entered my phone number. She advised me to speak with Store Manager Ms. Beth, but when I did, she directed me to contact you as she could not assist further. I have my receipt and am confused why this issue with coupons from familydollar.com cannot be resolved at the store, especially since another customer had a similar problem. Please call me back. Thank you.

I had a troubling experience while shopping at a store recently. Despite not stealing anything, a staff member accused me of theft and asked me to leave. This is not the first time I've faced such treatment, and I believe it may be racially motivated. I felt humiliated and disrespected by the way I was treated. I intend to take legal action if this matter is not addressed promptly by the store. I urge the management to review the incident and handle it appropriately. I have been a loyal customer, and I expect to be treated with respect and fairness. I hope this issue can be resolved without further complications. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I recently went to the Family Dollar store in Millington, TN to return a pair of headphones I purchased. Additionally, my niece bought a collar for my dog, but it was too big, so I tried to return it at the same store ([redacted] North Avalon store #[redacted]). The manager informed me that I needed to return it to the original store I purchased it from. I find it inconvenient that Family Dollar requires customers to return items to the specific store where they were bought. It seems impractical, especially if I had originally purchased the items in Nashville, TN. I encountered an issue with an employee named Shendricka at the store, who was rude, which is not the first time I have witnessed this behavior from her. I believe it would be beneficial for Family Dollar to provide anger management training for their staff, particularly for individuals like Shendricka. My primary concern is obtaining a refund for my purchase, as I believe it is unfair to struggle with returning defective items. This experience has prompted me to consider sharing my dissatisfaction on social media.

I had a 4:00 pm interview at Family Dollar in Farmville, VA for an Assistant Manager position, but I had reservations about it. When I arrived, I found Sabrina, who mentioned that the manager was running late like last time. I shared my experience of waiting 45 minutes in August for an interview that never happened due to the manager's delay. Just before 4:00 pm, Sabrina said her CSR was also running late, which frustrated me. Being punctual is important to me, having 30 years of Management experience. I expressed my disappointment and decided to leave, mentioning I might contact corporate about the incident. I believe a pattern of tardiness reflects poorly on the store environment. I wanted to bring this situation to your attention to highlight the ongoing issue with timeliness and professionalism at the location.

I recently bought a Christmas tree at Family Dollar on [redacted] Johnson St., Hollywood, FL for $21.40, including tax. I use the ReceiptPal app to track my receipts, but couldn't find it when I wanted to return the tree. The employee at the store refused to accept the digital receipt on my phone for the refund and was impolite. After contacting corporate, I was advised to return to the store, where I encountered more rudeness from the same employee who only offered a $10 credit for the $21.40 tree. The store did not display any sale indicating the tree was $10, adding to my frustration. I am struggling to contact customer service to resolve this matter. If not resolved, I will escalate the issue with my credit card company.

I recently visited the Family Dollar on Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, VA [redacted] to exchange a pair of shoes for a different size. However, after being given permission to exchange the shoes by a young lady, I was accused of wearing one of the shoes and making it dirty. I purchased the shoes on November 17th, [redacted], and they were still in the bag when I brought them back. Despite explaining that I work long hours and did not wear the shoes, the cashier was rude and accused me of lying. The situation was humiliating, and I left the store feeling upset. My daughter also experienced unprofessional behavior from the staff. Now, I am left with a pair of shoes I cannot use due to the unfair treatment.

I had an interview at the Dollar Tree on Springfield Ave in Newark yesterday. I was supposed to start paperwork, but it turns out Family Dollar has listed me as not eligible for rehire. This is confusing as I never had a conversation with management about being terminated. To this day, I have not heard anything from management regarding my employment status. The reason for the termination is left blank in the system. My last digits are 78-[redacted], and my name is Raynisha Kirby, born on 7/25/[redacted]. I would like to know who I can speak to in order to have this issue resolved or at least get an explanation for why this has happened.

Today, at the Mojave C.A store #[redacted] in the morning before 9 a.m., I had an unpleasant experience with the cashier named Keisha. She engaged in negative conversation and involved other customers, escalating the situation. This occurred after I mentioned a bad odor in the store and proceeded to look for gift cards. Feeling uncomfortable with the cashier's behavior, I decided to leave. Despite being a frequent shopper spending $60-$80 at this store, being treated disrespectfully by a cashier and feeling intimidated is unacceptable.

As a recent former employee, I have attempted to reach out to the Human Resources department without success. I also informed a manager/supervisor about the situation, but no action has been taken. I left my position due to a verbally abusive and inappropriate text message from a coworker after calling in sick. This incident, along with previous unprofessional behavior from other colleagues, left me feeling unsafe and hesitant to return to work. Please respond promptly. Thank you.

I had a concerning experience at your store. I was only trying on a $16 windbreaker when your employee accused me of trying to steal it. I believe there may be security footage that can support my innocence. It's common practice to try on clothes before purchasing, right? When I requested to speak to the store manager for help, they also suspected me and the situation escalated. I mentioned involving the district manager, hoping for clarity. It's puzzling to me that a store selling clothing would discourage customers from trying items on. Accusing someone without cause is not right. Why would I risk my reputation over a cheap item? I hope you address these issues with your staff to prevent similar incidents.

I visited Family Dollar at [redacted] East 152nd in Cleveland, Ohio around 9:40 PM. Although the sign displayed closing time as 10 PM, the doors were already locked. A worker briefly opened the door to let someone out, and I entered. The worker informed me that they were closed despite the sign stating otherwise. Other employees confirmed the closure when I inquired. I expressed my need for Pampers for my baby, but they remained firm about the store being closed. I have encountered recurring issues with the staff at this location, finding them consistently rude and disrespectful. This incident occurred on December 6, [redacted], at 9:40 PM.

I visited the Family Dollar in Port Sulphur, Louisiana and witnessed the new store manager, Shianne Pellegal, arguing on the phone with her child's father. It was unprofessional and inappropriate for her to be yelling in front of customers. On another occasion, I saw her arguing about drugs over the phone outside. This behavior is unacceptable for a store manager. I have discouraged my friends and family from shopping there due to her conduct. The store itself is also messy, with carts scattered and the bathroom often locked. When I asked the manager for the key, she couldn't find it, causing inconvenience. This situation needs to be addressed promptly. Thank you for addressing this issue.

I recently visited the Dollar store in Port Sulphur and had a concerning experience with the new store manager, Shianne Pellegal. She was seen on the phone in front of customers using inappropriate language. When I asked for help finding an item, she simply directed me without assisting further. Her behavior, including cursing out loud, is unacceptable for a manager. During my most recent visit, she was again on her phone outside while customers waited in line. When she returned, she mentioned needing to use the restroom and later appeared with white powder near her nose. This conduct is unprofessional and gives a negative impression of the store. The previous store manager never displayed such behavior. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly to ensure a better shopping experience for customers.

I visited your store on December 7, [redacted], store [redacted] at [redacted] S. Ashland, Chicago, IL, [redacted]. I shop here monthly spending $[redacted].00 to $[redacted].00 on toiletries. I use your smart coupons, but often have issues with the system not registering them correctly. When I try to input my number for the coupons, the system beeps and doesn't recognize them. Usually, the sales associate manually inputs my number to apply the discounts. However, on this visit, the manager (initials: C.) said she couldn't do it and I had to pay full price. I was disappointed. The manager was rude and used inappropriate language in front of customers. Despite this, I remained calm but won't return. I prefer to shop where customers are valued. I did make a purchase for my grandson but will avoid this store in the future. Dealing with such behavior is unfortunate.

Subject: Disappointing Customer Service Experience
Hello, my name is Leslie Young. I recently joined your company for a Customer Service position and I was thrilled about the opportunity. With over 30 years of experience in Customer Service, I have always been commended for my exceptional skills in handling customers. However, upon beginning at your store, I was surprised to find myself assigned to tasks like unloading trucks, boxes, and totes instead of interacting with customers.
While I understand the importance of diverse responsibilities, I believe that hiring individuals for customer-facing roles should prioritize their strengths and expertise. It is disheartening to see potential talents being underutilized. I suggest considering the skills and preferences of employees before assigning them roles that don't align with their abilities.
I am sharing my experience not out of frustration but with a genuine concern for others who might face a similar situation. Let's ensure that individuals have the opportunity to excel in their respective areas of expertise. Thank you for allowing me to express my thoughts.
Sincerely,
Leslie Young

I received $25 cash back from Family Dollar. I counted the money twice - before leaving and again after - and noticed I only received $20 instead of $25. I returned to the store, and they took down my information. The cashier said they would check at the end of the day and contact me regarding the missing $5. I feel uneasy about this process as I fear I may not get the correct amount back.

I received $25 cashback at Family Dollar. After double-checking the amount, I found out I only got $20 instead of $25. I returned to the store and was asked to leave my name and number. The store associate mentioned they would check with the cashier at the end of the day and call me if they could refund the missing $5. I feel uneasy about this resolution process and concerned I may not get the correct amount back. The Family Dollar store in question is located at [redacted] Union Blvd, [redacted], Saint Louis, Missouri.

Hello, I applied at the Des Allemands, Louisiana location and got an email from the Human Resource department to check my application status. However, I've been unsuccessful in logging in. I visited the store on Gordon Highway on Thursday, December 12th and injured my big toe. The cashier took my name and number but no one called back. I contacted the manager the following day, but she did not return my call as promised. There was a rack on the floor that I didn't see, and the cashier mentioned she had asked an employee to remove it before an accident occurred. Now, I have a sore toe and need to get it checked, but I'm worried about the hospital expenses. Could someone please reach out to me so we can address this issue? Thank you. [redacted]

I had a concerning experience at the Family Dollar store located at [redacted] Reading Road in Reading, Ohio on December 13th, [redacted], between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. While trying to check out, the only three employees present were dealing with a suspected shoplifter. Despite requesting assistance from employee Kenny, there were issues at the register that needed to be resolved with the help of another employee, Cara McCormick. Unfortunately, she was preoccupied with the situation involving the alleged shoplifter, causing a delay in my checkout process. When expressing my frustration, Cara McCormick responded confrontationally, even threatening to involve the police. Her behavior was unacceptable, and it has deterred me from returning to the store. I believe the company should take action and address this incident promptly.
