I recently noticed a 30-day past due error on my Build.com credit card from Comenity Capital Bank. I contacted the CEO of Comenity Capital Bank, Ron Olston, who issued a correction to the credit bureaus. However, despite having good financial ratios and making payments on time, my FICO score dropped by 5 points after financing a car. My credit scores from the big three bureaus also decreased by 55 points suddenly. I'm puzzled why my responsible financial behavior is hurting my creditworthiness. Even with a new car loan and good debt ratios, my scores have dropped. I wonder if there's any way to improve my credit score. I thought that FICO scores were more stable than the ones from the big three credit bureaus. Any advice on how to repair my credit score would be appreciated.

I am a Citibank credit card holder, and I received feedback on my FICO Bankcard Score 8 stating that there are too few accounts currently paid as agreed. However, after reviewing my credit reports and using a monitoring service, I found no records of missed payments. Interestingly, the same FICO score from Discover does not mention this critique.
I wonder if there is an error affecting my score at Citibank or if there is a specific reason causing the decrease that I am unaware of.
Thank you for any insights or assistance.

Hello,
I need assistance with a medical bill issue from February [redacted]. Our insurance should have covered the $75 bill, but despite being denied twice and then paid, it was sent to collections. It has since been paid and marked as settled by the medical provider with Experian. However, our credit score still reflects a drop of almost [redacted] points. This is causing problems as we are in the process of buying a house. We have always been responsible with our payments over our 19 years of marriage. The bill was supposed to be covered by our health insurance, and we are now in possession of a written confirmation from the medical provider stating it was paid in full. How can we rectify this situation after 4 years?
Sincerely,
Jim and Paula Graef

Two weeks ago, my credit score unexpectedly dropped 50 points from [redacted] to [redacted]. I recently opened a Bank of America card and transferred two balances onto it. One balance was from Citibank for $2,[redacted], and the other was from Chase for $1,[redacted].01. I haven't made any additional purchases, but my loan balance is $20,[redacted]. The Bank of America card balance is currently $3,[redacted].65. I'm puzzled about what caused my score to decrease when I have been diligently managing my finances. I have 18 months to pay off the card without stress. I am also a victim of identity theft and have reported it to the FTC. I'm concerned about the sudden drop in my credit score despite my efforts to pay down my bills and consolidate my balances. Can anyone explain what might have led to this decrease?
