I have been harassed, mistreated, and humiliated by an employee at Econolodge in Kennewick, WA. The individual, Connie, who is a manager, has wrongfully charged me regarding my pet every time I stay there. She insists on keeping a portion of my deposit, claiming my puppy is to blame for things she notices. When I try to discuss this with her, she becomes loud, rude, and threatens not to return my deposit if I argue. Connie has been consistently rude to me and my family, showing no consideration. It is clear she does not like us staying at Econolodge. Today, on the 19th of January [redacted], when I arrived at 11 pm, the doors were locked despite the sign stating they were closed from 12 pm to 6 am. I parked on the property and later experienced someone shining a laser into our van, causing harm to my daughter and me. I have filed a police report due to the humiliation, racism, and harassment from Connie. I believe this behavior towards families and children should not be tolerated. I urge Econolodge Kennewick to investigate this matter and take appropriate action.

I made an online room reservation but was treated poorly when I arrived. The clerk demanded a $[redacted] deposit, which wasn't mentioned online during booking. I didn't stay in the room due to the deposit issue. I believe I deserve a refund for not using the room. This experience has deterred me from booking online in the future. Another customer behind me also faced rudeness. I just want the refund back on my card. I will provide my email for further communication.

To whom it May Concern, my spouse and I are incredibly disappointed. We have stayed in a room here multiple times over the past 2 years on alternate weekends. This recent experience has been the last straw for us. We were overcharged, had to wait weeks for a refund, and even had to involve the police to get our money back. Despite arriving late for check-in, we were still charged double for the room. After encountering issues with the fridge not working and having to change rooms, it was unacceptable to be treated this way. Additionally, the behavior of the security guard was concerning when he threatened us with his weapon without understanding the situation first. This whole experience has left us feeling frustrated and unsafe. Please reach out to us at [redacted] if you would like to discuss this further. -W.W. and L.P.

During a recent stay at the Econo Lodge in Newton, Iowa, my experience was extremely disappointing. The strong smell of cigarette smoke was pervasive throughout the hallway and intensified in the room. Despite inquiring about the number of smoking rooms, the desk clerk was unhelpful. It seems most rooms allowed smoking, making it impossible to escape the unpleasant odor. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the room was subpar, with poorly made beds and an overall dirty environment that deterred us from even taking a shower. The meager continental breakfast of granola bars and beverages added to the disappointment. This has been the worst hotel stay, and we have decided never to choose Econo Lodge again due to the unsatisfactory conditions and the lack of consideration for non-smoking guests.

Upon arriving at the Econo Lodge in Salt Lake City North Temple with a confirmed room booking, my mother was unexpectedly asked for a $[redacted] cash deposit instead of the credit card deposit indicated during the reservation. Despite showing proof from the website, the staff were insistent on the cash-only policy, causing suspicion of a scam. The situation escalated when the staff refused to contact their manager, denying our request for a refund. This refusal led to an unpleasant encounter with a confrontational employee. The matter escalated to involve the police. We are seeking a full refund for the unprofessional conduct experienced at the [redacted] E North Temple location in Salt Lake City, Utah.

My girlfriend and I paid $[redacted] for a room and were accused of smoking in it. However, I work delivering food all day on weekends as a second job, and I typically smoke while driving. Upon entering the room, the manager accused me of smoking because he smelled it. I explained that my clothes all smell like smoke due to my job, and there was a suitcase and a laundry bag with dirty clothes in the room. The manager was disrespectful, so we left. When my girlfriend called for a refund as we stayed less than 24 hours of our two-night stay, they demanded we pay $[redacted] for the alleged smoke smell or face a charge. Despite us leaving, they want to charge our card. This uncharacteristic behavior seems motivated by their recent extensive remodeling. This incident occurred on 12/17/22 between 7:30 pm and 9 pm.

I had an unpleasant experience at this hotel. The conditions were unsanitary with snot on the walls, a roach infestation, and bedbugs. Additionally, the room had missing items and the fridge was not working. The staff, particularly the Indian lady at the front desk, was disrespectful and rude. I was charged unexpectedly on my last day and felt pressured to pay for a full day's stay when I was only planning to stay for a few hours. Even when I raised concerns about noise and cleanliness, I was met with poor customer service. Overall, my four-night stay was disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel due to its poor conditions and unprofessional staff.

During my stay at Room [redacted] in Econolodge HiWay 80 Abilene, Texas, I encountered issues with cleanliness and staff behavior. The maid falsely claimed the sheets were dirty and did not return my deposit. Despite the sheets being changed on 3-13-[redacted] and me reporting the inaccuracy to the front office, no action was taken. Additionally, I reported roaches in the room on 3-13-[redacted]. Unfortunately, the sheets were again changed on 3-17-[redacted] and wrongly labeled as dirty. Even after I brought this to the attention of the housekeeper, my concerns were not addressed. Upon check out on 3-17-[redacted], the front desk staff insisted the sheets were dirty, withholding my deposit. I am baffled by the charges for sheets upon checking out of the hotel and seek the return of my deposit.

We reserved a room at Econo Lodge Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, for September 19th to 26th. Upon check-in, we were asked to pay the full amount for 7 nights, which we did. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night due to bed bug bites, a strong marijuana smell, and someone attempting to enter our room forcefully twice. We requested a refund the next day, but were told to speak to the hotel manager who was unavailable. Our conflicting work hours prevent us from meeting the manager, who is only available between 10 am and 3 pm. We are owed a refund of $[redacted]. How can we proceed if we are unable to meet the manager during our work hours?
