DuPont Customer Service Issues

I am seeking advice on how to paint over silicone. A Menards staff member suggested a specific type of caulking to me, which I purchased after reading the tube's recommendations. After using three tubes, I prepared to paint but couldn't find instructions on how long to wait before painting. Upon calling, I was informed that the caulking cannot be painted, despite no indication on the tube. This situation is frustrating as the caulking should be labeled as non-paintable. I am unsure how to proceed without removing it, which is difficult in this context. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.
