The Unemployment system in Delaware has been a source of frustration for many, myself included. Despite the challenges brought on by Covid-19, the inefficiencies in the department have been apparent for years. Dealing with reduced hours and attempting to collect what is rightfully owed should not be such a difficult and prolonged process. It is disheartening to see how long it takes to receive much-needed funds, especially in times of crisis. The bureaucracy and lack of efficiency only add to the struggles faced by those in need.
Trying to contact the unemployment office has been a nightmare, with long wait times and little assistance. Now, as my wife tries to navigate the system, the requirements seem convoluted and unnecessary. The paperwork is confusing and burdensome, making it even more challenging for those who may not be as familiar with the process.
It is unacceptable how the citizens of Delaware are being treated by the very department designed to support them. The incompetence and lack of support are deeply disappointing. It is time for a change and for accountability to be taken seriously. The excuses and blame-shifting must stop, and real solutions need to be implemented for the sake of all those who rely on these essential services.

I have been unemployed since April 3, [redacted]. My last paycheck was on April 11, [redacted], from Connections. I don't have any pay stubs from them, and their main office is in Wilmington, DE. I never received any unemployment benefits. On June 27, [redacted], I started working at Jay's Vending Co. I have emailed Keith Whitmer multiple times with no response despite sending him my documents like my license, social security card, and bank information. I call in weekly on Sundays and have even live chatted with Keera Ward, who told me to send copies of my pay stubs from Jay's Vending Co., which I mailed on October 7, [redacted]. This situation has been really tough for me as I am struggling financially with bills two months behind. Can someone please assist me? Jay's Vending Co. had its last day on September 11, [redacted]. How long will the process take?
