During a one-night stay at Days Inn in Eufaula, Georgia, my family's experience was terrible. I had booked three non-smoking ground-level rooms for us, especially for our special needs daughter. Despite requesting ground-level rooms by phone, we were informed upon arrival that none were available. The room we were given had a strong smell of cigarettes and mildew, with roaches, burn holes, and stains. The lamps were not functioning, exposing unsafe outlets. The other two rooms for our party had similar issues. The pool area was disappointing with rusty chairs stacked against the wall, making it unusable. The surroundings were unkempt with trash and debris. I have photos to support my complaints and am seeking a refund for all three rooms due to the unacceptable conditions. This experience was the worst I've had with a hotel and reflects poorly on the Days Inn brand.

Hello. While passing through Bishop, CA, my husband and I are currently staying at your Days Inn. In hindsight, I wish I had read the reviews before booking, but since Wyndham Hotels have a good reputation, it didn't cross my mind. If we weren't traveling with another couple, we would have left because I have never been to a dirtier hotel. Initially, it was hard to even locate the hotel since there was no sign out front clearly stating its name. The sink in our room is broken and doesn't drain, the floor is dirty, the carpet is stained and worn out, the light switches are also grimy, and the walls are marked with dirt, with the bathroom being in the worst condition. I have taken some pictures in case you would like me to share them with you. Additionally, one of the beds seems to have been used before as the sheets are all crumpled. We paid $[redacted].00 for this room, and I am extremely disappointed. I felt it was important to bring this to your attention.

I checked out of Days Inn today and was informed that I couldn't receive the deposit back without my girlfriend present due to her work hours. I usually check out at 8:00 AM, and waiting for her would inconvenience me. The staff has been nice, and I just need clarification on this policy. Could there be an exception or alternative method? It caught me off guard, and I'd appreciate some guidance. If possible, please reach out to me at [redacted].

I was checking out of the Days Inn today, and I was told that I could not get the deposit back. They said my girlfriend would have to come to the hotel to collect it. She works a regular 8 to 5 job, so instead of checking out at 8 a.m. and waiting for her, I'd rather not waste time. The staff has been nice overall, but this policy caught me off guard. I'm unsure if there's any flexibility or a way around this policy. Could someone please clarify? If anyone has experience with this, I would greatly appreciate your advice. No contact details needed, thank you.

My daughter, 29, and I, a 63-year-old woman, were traveling cross-country in a small moving van with an attached car trailer to her new Air Force assignment. We had made a reservation at the Days Inn in Benbrook, Texas, for December 2, [redacted]. Despite assurances from the reservation agent, upon arrival, the experience was disappointing. The initial room was unclean, and the next had various issues like stains and black mold. The breakfast containers seemed old, and a sign on the door urged complaints to the city. Upon contacting the city, we discovered the troubling reputation of the hotel. We were shocked by the lack of safety and service at a well-known chain like Days Inn. We chose to stay elsewhere for our subsequent travels, prioritizing safety over cost. This incident has made us hesitant to book with Days Inn again and reluctant to recommend the brand. We urge the company to ensure the safety and quality of all its properties, implementing better monitoring programs to prevent similar experiences for other guests. Contact us at [redacted] for further discussion if needed.

On January 7th, we checked in at Days Inn in Blue Springs, MO, either [redacted] or [redacted], booked through Priceline for January 7th & 8th at $38 a night. The attendant at the desk mentioned they could offer better rates than Priceline if we extended our stay. After a couple of nights in RM. 4, we decided to stay longer but couldn't reach the attendant. Despite leaving messages, we were charged $65.35 per night for two days. The prices were not as good as expected. We tried to speak with the attendant from January 9th to 13th but were unable to catch him and were eventually thrown out in freezing conditions, resulting in unexpected charges on my card. We seek a refund for the mistreatment and overcharges experienced at Days Inn in Blue Springs. Thank you for your assistance.

During our six-day stay at Days Inn by Wyndham near Lackland in San Antonio, Texas, we encountered alarming conditions in room [redacted]. The musty smell, loose toilet with a brown ring at the base, and excessively dirty bathroom floor with waxed dirt in the corners were off-putting. Additionally, the bathroom had rust and heavy dust, along with extensive black mold on most shower wall tiles. Showering was uncomfortable due to this mold. The room itself appeared significantly overdue for renovation. This experience greatly differed from our previous positive experiences with Days Inn. I have pictures documenting the unsanitary conditions and would like guidance on where to send them, along with results from a mold test sample I collected in a ziplock bag.

I encountered a large cockroach-like bug in the shower, mold on the bathroom ceiling, a persistent smell of smoke, a nonfunctional printer in the "business center", pervasive dog hair on the bed, blanket, and floor, lack of towels, overall room dirtiness, an unwashed bathroom floor, a filthy and malodorous refrigerator, and a broken telephone. I aim to request a partial or full refund for my stay during a conference. The maintenance issues and overall lack of cleanliness I experienced are unacceptable, particularly considering I pre-booked my room months ago. The towel-less arrival, rampant mold, bugs, and dog hair are distressing. The state of the room leads me to believe the housekeeping was inadequate. If my refund request is not met, I will escalate my complaint with visual evidence to the Better Business Bureau, health department, and local officials. This experience has been deeply unsatisfactory, and I expected more even from a budget hotel like Days Inn. - Stayed at Kennesaw, GA with reservation conf #82752EC021355

We made a reservation at the Days Inn in Manistee, Michigan through Expedia, but there was a mix-up upon arrival. It took nearly an hour at the service desk to resolve the issue as our reservation hadn't been received. After contacting Expedia, they provided a $50 voucher for the inconvenience. The staff at the hotel seemed unsure of how to handle the situation but eventually honored the first day's charge from Expedia and charged us slightly more for the second day. It would have been better if this solution had been offered earlier, especially since we had our wife and young child with us. Our room was far from the pool and breakfast areas despite the hotel not being full. When we entered our room, we found crumbs under the pillow, indicating that the sheets were not changed from the previous guest, and there was toilet paper in the toilet. Both of our key cards also malfunctioned. Overall, the stay was disappointing. - Frank D.

I made an online reservation through Hotels.com for a stay at your Days Inn near the Atlanta airport. I purchased it late at night, unaware that I would need to spend the night in Atlanta. When I arrived, I was informed I couldn't check in until 3 pm the next day. Despite my request for a room, the manager wasn't available, and the night clerk couldn't reach her. After contacting Hotels.com, they attempted to reach the manager on my behalf but were unsuccessful. Despite multiple calls to Hotels.com and attempts to check in, I was still unable to get a room. I simply want a refund and find it disappointing that late-night guests can't check in if rooms are available. Despite numerous calls, the manager remained unreachable. I am very unsatisfied with the situation.

To whom it may concern,
I have been staying at a Days Inn for nearly a week and unfortunately, my experience has been quite unpleasant. The location in Dubuque, Iowa, where I stayed from Monday the 17th to Friday the 21st, was disappointing. Despite my requests, they did not provide a do not disturb sign. Additionally, upon finding the comforter smelling like human feces, I asked for it to be changed, only to discover they used the same bedding.
Subsequently, at the Atlantic, Iowa location from Friday the 21st to Sunday the 23rd, I encountered bed bugs in the bed. The staff initially denied having a closer room to accommodate my mother. However, when confronted with the bed bug situation, they suddenly had a room available next to my mother.
I am requesting a full refund to address these unsettling issues. The presence of bed bugs poses serious health risks, and I hope this matter can be resolved promptly.
Thank you,
Tabitha F.

I had a terrible experience at a Days Inn location. Upon arriving, they cancelled my reservation and the room was extremely dirty. The bed sheets had burnt holes, the bathroom was not clean, and there were limited towels and washcloths. The room was overall filthy, and even the TV did not work initially. Maintenance only provided one clean pillowcase after I complained. This was by far the worst stay I have ever had at a hotel, considering I have stayed at other Days Inn locations in California and Florida without any issues. The hotel is in poor condition and does not meet the usual quality standards I expect from Days Inn.

During our stay at Days Inn located at [redacted] Waccamaw Blvd in South Carolina, booked through Hotels.com, we encountered a distressing situation. After paying in full online, upon arrival, the front desk attempted to charge an extra $25 for my two children, despite them being included in the booked itinerary. Following a brief discussion, the additional charge was waived. Upon entering room [redacted], my kids laid on the bed only to discover a protrusion in the mattress. Upon investigation, horrifyingly, a box of drug needles and dirty underwear were found scattered underneath. Despite alerting the front desk, a nonchalant attitude was displayed, and we were relocated to another room. Stranded in an unfamiliar city at 11:00 PM on July 3rd after a long drive, we reluctantly stayed. Concerned for the safety of my children, who unknowingly slept on a contaminated bed, I am deeply troubled by this oversight. I have photographic evidence of the needles and unsanitary conditions, and I implore the hotel to address this serious safety issue promptly.

I made a reservation at the Days Inn in North Platte, Nebraska, but was disappointed with the room's cleanliness at check-in. The sink was dirty, and the bed had stains on the comforter. When I requested new sheets, the man at the front desk mentioned that the cleaning staff was unavailable due to lunch. Despite offering to wait as I had an interview to attend, he abruptly canceled my reservation. This left me in a difficult situation since I was far from home and had an interview coming up. I decided to stay at the Quality Inn across the street instead. The poor service and the way my request was handled were unacceptable. I hope Days Inn can address these issues and provide better training for their staff. This experience had the worst customer service I have encountered.

We reserved a non-smoking king room but were given a queen size smoking room upon check-in. Despite informing the receptionist immediately, we were told it was the only option and left without a refund or credit. We have a written explanation from the receptionist but have not received the promised refund after multiple attempts to contact the manager. The charge remains on our credit card, even though we never stayed in the incorrect room. The whole ordeal was highly inconvenient, especially considering we had to drive over 30 minutes to find alternative accommodation.

During my stay at Days Inn by Wyndham in Anderson, Indiana, I was wrongly charged for smoking in the hotel room, even though I don't smoke. The incident occurred in a room near the front desk, where a staff member checked the room before my departure. To my surprise, I received a call while getting gas, notifying me of a $[redacted] smoking charge. Despite my efforts to reach out to the hotel, I have not received any response. I have reached out to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for assistance, but the hotel has not responded to them either. Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

During our stay at Days Inn Moncton on August 24, [redacted], my wife, daughter, and I had a disturbing experience. While my daughter was warming up in bed before a pizza delivery, she noticed the sheets felt rough. To our shock, we found four large semen stains on the bed. After reporting it, new sheets were brought, which we changed ourselves. The front desk suggested leaving the dirty sheets outside, but they were still there upon our departure. The manager offered a free night's stay instead of a refund when my wife raised the issue. This incident was incredibly unpleasant, and we are hesitant to revisit such unhygienic conditions.

I made a reservation on Priceline and checked into Wyndham Days Inn in Springfield, PA. The managers were trying their best. I arrived late at 10 pm after a long drive from North Carolina. Unfortunately, I encountered several issues during my stay. The TV remotes weren't working properly, and the replacement was missing the back cover and wasn't programmed for the TV. Moreover, the phone in my room was also not functional, which was concerning for safety as I was alone and in a ground floor room. The top lock of my room was broken, and the door handle lock got jammed due to damaged molding around the door. Additionally, the ice maker near the office was out of order without any notice. I appreciated the help from another guest regarding a working ice maker on the 2nd floor.

While sleeping in my room, a homeless individual entered through the window attempting to open the door after removing the screen since the window doesn't lock. Feeling extremely unsafe, I have decided not to stay here again. There is a homeless camp near the property's wall, adding to my discomfort. The front office staff saw the window issue firsthand and confirmed the lock was faulty. The manager offered to comp one night, but I believe the entire three-day stay should be comped due to this unsettling experience. I will not be returning to this establishment and intend to share my negative experience with others.

I recently checked in at Days Inn in Colorado Springs and it's only my second night here. I usually wake up early, around 3:30-4 a.m., and decided to enjoy a cup of coffee and a cigar outside my room. Later, I took my book to the lobby to read. However, I was told by the desk staff that I couldn't be in the lobby until 7 a.m. despite my quiet activities. They mentioned the lobby needed to be kept clear and quiet until then. I found it odd as I've never encountered this rule in a hotel lobby before. Unfortunately, it seems there's a drug issue with homeless individuals coming in and out of the hotel, which I understand is a concern. However, it's disappointing that as a paying guest who wakes early, I can't use the lobby to read due to needing a light on in my room.
