This year, we found out that we qualify for exemption under ruling [redacted]-7. It allows us to reduce our taxable income by excluding some services we provide to our son. For our current tax return, we just mentioned [redacted]-7 on our federal filing and adjusted our state return accordingly. However, we're unsure about past years. Should we just mention [redacted]-7 briefly or is it necessary to give a more detailed explanation when amending prior tax returns?

As a senior citizen residing in Colorado, I was advised that I did not need to file my income taxes yearly due to minimal changes in my income, mainly from my mineral rights earnings of about $[redacted] to $[redacted] annually. I followed this advice for the past two years since it did not incur any filing fees. Recently, I discovered I may owe taxes on my mineral rights. After visiting the county office and receiving conflicting information, I learned that this tax is paid to the state. To address this issue, I seek clarity on my current standing. My name is Darrell Dean Wells, and I reside at [redacted] North 25th Avenue in Greeley, Colorado, [redacted].

I need assistance with filing taxes for both Minnesota and Colorado. I recently moved from Minnesota to Colorado in March [redacted], having lived in MN for 2.5 months. I am trying to file my MN taxes and locate Colorado tax forms. I am unable to find Colorado forms online or at physical locations like the post office. I cannot afford professional help and prefer to do my taxes independently. I need urgent help to understand how Colorado taxes are filed, as I typically owe money and need to know if I owe additional taxes. Online filing did not provide a section for the single claiming amount of $12,[redacted].

I work as a bookkeeper for a non-profit in California. Previously, we had an employee in Colorado who now works part-time as a [redacted] subcontractor for us. I recently received a notice from the Colorado Secretary of State's office regarding renewing our registration there, but I'm unsure if it's necessary due to our subcontractor. The office couldn't provide a clear answer. Can anyone clarify if we need to register with the SOS when we only have one [redacted] contractor in Colorado?

Subject: Assistance Needed for Thomas L. Fry Account # [redacted]5 I had a discussion with the Discovery department on 1/28/20 about my tax returns for the years [redacted] and [redacted]. Following their request, I sent copies of my Oklahoma tax returns for those years to the Colorado Dept. of Revenue on 1/29/20 along with a cover letter clarifying why I filed with Oklahoma instead of Colorado as advised by my accountant. I was under the impression that no further collection efforts would be made until the additional information was reviewed. I am following up to inquire if any more details are required. Thank you for your help. Thomas L. Fry [redacted]

My recent tax preparer filed my return with the Department of Revenue a month ago. However, last Monday I received a letter from the Department requesting additional information. The letter stated that they could not complete the processing of my return due to discrepancies in the figures reported. They mentioned having some payments and credits on file from the prior year, dated 4/15/[redacted], totaling $1,[redacted]. They are asking for documentation for these payments and credits that are not showing up. Both my former preparer (now retired) and my current preparer have listed the credits as $1,[redacted] for [redacted]. Line 19 reflected this correctly, but I noticed line 20 was incorrectly listed as $1,[redacted]. I was advised that line 20 should've been zero because I didn't make any estimated taxes last year. I am unsure how to resolve this issue.

I recently visited the DMV in Roanoke, Virginia, to reinstate my driver's license. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue where someone in Colorado shares my name and birthdate. To resolve this, I need to pay $10 to the Colorado Department of Revenue for an out-of-state clearance letter to be sent to the Roanoke, Virginia DMV. This delay in reinstating my license has been frustrating, especially since it is impacting my ability to work. I kindly request a prompt resolution to this matter to avoid further financial losses. Thank you, Mr. H.

I require help with my state tax return. I submitted it on 01/23/23, with a total of $[redacted].00 on my federal return ($[redacted].00 refunded). Although my state return for $[redacted].00 was accepted on 02/17/23, I have not received it. I have relocated from Colorado Springs after completing an internship and now reside in Africa, Namibia. I am interested in having my state tax refund directly deposited into my US bank account. For additional information, kindly contact me via email.
