On July 7, [redacted], my wife and I stayed at the Clarion hotel in Mackinaw City, Michigan. Initially assigned room #[redacted], we found debris and no towels, so the manager moved us to room #[redacted]. Unfortunately, room #[redacted] was also uncleaned, with haphazardly placed towels. The manager then switched us to room #[redacted], where we discovered a frozen water bottle in the fridge, two non-functional bathroom fridges, and hygiene issues.
While my wife was changing, another couple entered our room mistakenly, causing distress. The advertisement about the pool being open was misleading as it was closed, with no price reduction. This experience lacked the expected Clarion standards and training for the staff appeared inadequate.
As a loyal Choice Privilege member for 15 years, I hope for a fair resolution. Despite the manager's efforts, the intrusion into our room was unsettling. I request a written response addressing this issue promptly.

We bought two vouchers for $[redacted].00 each that included a two-night stay and a $30.00 food voucher, expiring in May [redacted]. Due to COVID-19, our March and May bookings were canceled as the resort was closed. We now have reservations for September and October, but the manager, Charlene, won't honor the vouchers for our off-peak stays. Instead, she wants to credit us $[redacted].00 each weekend. We've tried contacting her five times but haven't received a call back. We're unsure why she won't honor the vouchers for our upcoming stays and would like either our vouchers honored or a refund. Any advice is appreciated.

I recently had a discussion with the Front Desk Manager, Paas, at [redacted] Keith Dr., Canton, GA, [redacted]. The conversation was in reference to a request made by her nephew concerning purchasing a new microwave from Walmart due to issues with the current one in Room [redacted].
I clarified that the microwave door had to be firmly held for it to work due to electrical problems causing irregularities with the coffee maker and refrigerator. After Paas reassured me that there would be no charge, she insinuated that the microwave was functioning fine while I was present.
It appears other guests might have paid for faulty appliances in the past, indicating a concerning pattern. I urge you to monitor this situation closely and ensure staff receive proper training in customer service and communication. Effective communication and service are crucial for maintaining a positive reputation and attracting repeat business.
