I have been receiving emails regarding a notice of collection from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) addressed to me, DAVID ZWINK. To access the information online, I have set up access through RBC. However, upon entering my RBC Interact client number and password at the CRA - RBC access point, I keep receiving an error message, ERR.[redacted]. This issue has persisted for the last three years, causing frustration as I attempt to comply with CRA requests. I find this inefficiency bothersome for both myself and the CRA. I would appreciate it if someone could reach out to me to provide guidance on accessing the information and help me understand why this recurring problem is happening. Thank you. David Zwink

I work as a bookkeeper for a company that has been inconsistent with timelines and procedures. Recently, they issued T4 slips to employees with inaccuracies. Some employees have already filed their taxes based on these incorrect T4 slips. The errors in tax calculation stem from using the wrong exemptions and overcharging taxes, leading to underpayment for certain employees. At this point, since the T4 reports have not been sent to the CRA, there is an opportunity to correct the mistakes before submission. Filing correct T4 forms, along with adjustments, might be necessary. However, since the T4 summary and copies have not been filed, adjustments can still be made to rectify the tax discrepancies. It is important to address these issues promptly to avoid further complications.

I spent hours trying to access my CRA Account without success. I'm unsure if the issue is with my ID, Password, or the small, blurry Captcha. After a frustrating conversation with an agent and then with someone from the graphics department, I feel defeated. I'm considering canceling my account, requesting my NOA via email, and creating a new account due to the ongoing frustration.

Subject: Request for Exceptional Consideration for Canada Housing Benefit
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to appeal to the Canada Revenue Agency for the opportunity to receive the one-time benefit of $[redacted]. Unfortunately, my accountant was unavailable due to a recent family tragedy. Despite my best efforts, I submitted my [redacted] and [redacted] tax returns within minutes after the deadline as my accountant was unexpectedly delayed and we completed the filing after 9 PM instead of the scheduled 6:30 PM appointment.
Living below the poverty line and receiving just $10,[redacted] annually through ODSP, this $[redacted] benefit would significantly reduce the financial burden on me, especially considering my struggles with mental health. I encountered difficulties in completing the necessary forms independently due to some keys on my laptop being inoperable.
I kindly ask for your understanding and reconsideration of my situation to allow me to reapply for this benefit. Your assistance in this matter would be sincerely appreciated.
Warm regards,
Mike G.

Subject: Request for One-time Canada Housing Benefit Top-up
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to request the Canada Housing Benefit one-time payment of $[redacted]. Unfortunately, my accountant, who assists me with tax matters, was not available due to a recent family tragedy. Despite my efforts to file my [redacted] and [redacted] taxes before the deadline, I was delayed by unforeseen circumstances. Living below the poverty line on an annual income of $10,[redacted] from ODSP, this benefit would greatly alleviate some of my financial hardships, especially considering my ongoing struggle with mental health issues. Regrettably, due to a broken laptop with several dysfunctional keys, I was unable to complete the necessary paperwork without assistance. I sincerely hope for your understanding and reconsideration in allowing me to apply for this benefit.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
M.G.

I encountered issues logging into my CRA account today as the access code was not sent to me despite several attempts to request it. After the fifth try, my account got locked, and I am now unable to regain access. I have tried contacting a CRA agent multiple times, but to no avail. I followed the suggestions on the CRA website, including reregistering and creating a partner account, but it prompts me to contact an agent, which I have been unsuccessful at reaching.
I kindly request a password reset to be able to log back into my account, as the system's failure to send the access code has caused this inconvenience.

The numbers on my assessment and ufile don't align. While ufile shows a taxable income of [redacted], the assessment indicates [redacted] with a payment due of [redacted].27. My sole income consists of a pension of [redacted].10 and CPP of [redacted].44. After expenses, I only have [redacted] dollars weekly for food this month. A significant car repair bill of [redacted] wiped out my savings. Due to cashing in a life insurance policy to clear high-interest debt, I'm not eligible for the income supplement. My projected monthly income for the upcoming year is [redacted].54, making it challenging to cover expenses. Previously, I managed to save for property taxes and license fees but can no longer afford to do so. Paying [redacted].27 would pose a significant financial burden for me.

My assessment numbers do not align with the numbers provided by ufile. For instance, my ufile taxable income is ****, while the taxable assessment income is **** with a payment due of ***.**. My sole income consists of a pension of ****.** plus cpp of ***.**. After covering my bills, I only have *** dollars a week for food this month. A bill of **** for car repairs has exhausted my savings. Unfortunately, due to cashing in a life insurance policy to pay off debt, I am ineligible for the income supplement, resulting in a total monthly income of ****.** for the upcoming year. Previously, I could just manage to save for property taxes and license fees before losing the supplement. If required to pay ***, it would pose a significant hardship. I urge for the figures to be rectified to match the ufile numbers.

I have not yet filed my [redacted] tax return because I have not received a T4 from the company I worked at during the first 7 months of the year. The company has shut down, and it appears they didn't have an accountant towards the end. Despite being reassured multiple times by the former owner that the T4 is on its way, I'm still waiting. I've been attempting to contact the CRA numerous times over the past few weeks without success. I was considering using my bank deposits to estimate my net income and deductions, but a friend warned me about the potential penalties for providing inaccurate information on my return. I want to avoid any penalties altogether. What steps should I take in this situation?

I provide support to two adults with developmental disabilities in my home, for which I receive non-taxable income. Considering they can never live independently, I stumbled upon information about the disability supports deduction. It mentions claiming expenses related to the impairment if they allowed me to earn income. Despite reaching out to H&R Block and others, I'm unsure how to reflect this on my Notice of Assessment. Can anyone guide me through this process, as I'm in the midst of purchasing a house and this aspect needs to be included? Assistance is greatly appreciated.

I had someone prepare my taxes for a ten-year period. Unfortunately, there were errors in two years where my income was reported incorrectly due to misplaced decimal points. I hired a company to review the past 10 years of returns. They mentioned any refund would be processed through my CRA account. Can you clarify which account this refers to and how I can ensure it is set up correctly for the refund? Thank you. - D. Perrault

I'm having trouble accessing my CRA online account due to an Error message - ERR. [redacted]. Following the instructions, I contacted Canada Revenue. However, I faced delays receiving the one-time PIN via SMS, often waiting 20 minutes or more. By the time I entered the PIN, I was informed of incorrect information, likely because the 5-minute time window for entry elapsed. I reside outside of Canada, which adds to the frustration. The verification number sometimes arrives after a few hours, leaving me puzzled about the extended wait times.

I am currently awaiting the processing of my amended T1. Both my wife and I initially submitted our T1s around March 7, [redacted], prepared by our tax accountant. After identifying an issue, refunds were issued based on these incorrect T1s, resulting in an amount owing for me. Our accountant sent the amended T1s via mail, then electronically, following the new filing rules. While my wife's return with a balance owing was promptly processed, my refund has not been addressed. We planned to use my refund to cover the balance owed. I am eager to know when I can expect the processing of my refund.

I am having trouble accessing my account due to a long-standing issue with my GST number. Five years ago, I requested to include income from a property share in my general income and discontinue my GST number for tax purposes. However, it seems the GST account was not canceled, leading to ongoing problems with my account. I received an email two years ago instructing me to complete a form online to resolve this, but the problem persists. I am reaching out from a work computer as I do not have internet access at home. I kindly request that Canada Revenue review and rectify my taxes without the business GST number. Please send all tax correspondence to my home address on paper only as I cannot access my account online. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly.
Respectfully,
Dana G.

I need help resolving two issues with Revenue Canada. Unfortunately, I can no longer access my CRA account. I recently received Covid support payments but was informed that I was just short of qualifying. Despite being notified 14 months later that I owe back payments, I have been unable to work due to recent brain surgery and a three-year hiatus. I wish to communicate that I am hesitant to repay $18,[redacted] as they chose to disburse funds without clarity. I filed my taxes on July 1st, [redacted], with no income, potentially impacting GST and Trillium deposits. While I receive GST, I am unsure why I am not receiving the Trillium benefit this year, as I have in previous years. I need guidance on reactivating the Trillium and Climate Action programs, which I believe may result in delayed payments. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I am inquiring about the status of our joint tax returns and refunds. We were informed they would be processed by the end of May, but we have not received any updates. Interestingly, I filed my individual return last year alongside the joint filing, and I received that refund promptly. However, our current joint returns remain unresolved. Due to time constraints, I am unable to call and hold for extended periods. Our details are as follows:
- Taxpayers: Charles and Barbara Outhouse
- SINs: [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]
- DOBs: March 20, [redacted] and October 19, [redacted]
