Four years ago, I relocated from California to Nevada and obtained a Nevada driver's license, allowing my California license to expire. Recently, I found out that I was cited for "driving with an expired license" in California two months before its expiration, without any prior notification of the violation. Following a call to the California DMV, they informed me that the violation had been "cancelled," yet it persists on my record. I am seeking guidance on how to eliminate this citation from my driving record.

I am looking to reinstate my driver's license after multiple DUIs between 2[redacted] in Alameda, Stanislaus, and Monterey Counties. I have fulfilled all court requirements except for DUI school. As a [redacted]% disabled veteran, I struggle to reach medical appointments and run errands without driving. Would it be advisable to consult with a lawyer given my situation? I appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thank you.

I need help with the mailing details and copies for a traffic citation incident involving me, David A. Anderson. I received a speeding ticket in Nevada for going 75 mph in a 65 mph zone. I completed traffic school and submitted the certificate to the California DMV to remove two points from my driving record. However, California only removed 1 point instead of the 2 points as per their rules. This has caused me to pay higher insurance premiums, and the point will remain on my record for years, unlike in Nevada where it would have been removed after one year. I am stuck with the longer duration on record from California and the points assigned as per Nevada regulations.

While I was pulled over, I was not driving. I was on the side of the road using my cell phone when a volunteer police unit parked behind me. They approached my car and tapped on the window. After I rolled down the window, I responded to their questions. They asked me to wait and called in another unit. Upon the arrival of the second unit, I was asked to step out of the car and perform sobriety tests. I refused the breathalyzer test. They initially misread my rights and only corrected it when they took me to jail. No toxicology test was conducted, and I was released the next morning. I hired an attorney, and the case was eventually dropped. However, the DMV is requiring me to attend an 18-month multiple offense class and obtain an SR-22. Can anyone offer assistance with this situation?

My license issue has been forwarded to the franchise tax board, and they are garnishing my paychecks. They are withholding my license until I resolve the outstanding amount, which also includes unrelated cases. My employer requires me to have my license, and I have exhausted all options except paying the entire sum, which is beyond what I can afford. I am desperate to find a solution for this situation.

In [redacted], I received a DUI for medical marijuana when it wasn't legal. The DUI class I attended was a mistake. Instead of the first offender class, they said I needed to complete a second offender class, which was nine months long, three days a week. I took the class twice but couldn't afford another attempt due to the high cost of $[redacted] each time. This situation has prevented me from obtaining a driver's license. Now, running my business requires me to deliver products to clients, making it essential for me to have a license. I am seeking a restricted or hardship license. The DMV informed me yesterday that my DUI record had fallen off their system, causing issues with obtaining a license. They provided me with a Mandatory Action number, but I can't reach anyone as the line is always busy or disconnects due to high call volumes. Any assistance on resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I recently took my driver's test for both the car and motorcycle. I passed the car test but not the motorcycle. I aim to obtain a car license first and take the motorcycle test at a later date. However, I have been informed that I cannot do this and will need to pay for the license again. This is perplexing to me as I have already paid for the license and successfully passed the car test. I had to pay for a second license attempt after failing the motorcycle test, but it seems unfair to require me to retake the car test as well in order to obtain my car license. Failing the motorcycle test should not impact my ability to receive my car license without additional testing or fees. Thank you, Ferell B.

I was involved in a DUI accident in December 12, [redacted], but the conviction only came in [redacted]. During the period between [redacted] and [redacted], I underwent a 9-month inpatient rehab and finished residential treatment under a licensed Department of Health Care Services facility that used to be overseen by the ADP. According to my DMV records, my BAC was 0.7 below the legal limit. I was struck head-on by a drunk driver in foggy conditions who crossed into my lane by jumping the center divider. Despite passing the breathalyzer test, I haven't been able to drive for 18 years as I couldn't afford the required DUI school fees. I believe my completed program should suffice as payment. The issue lies in the fact that individuals are expected to cover the costs of DUI programs out of their own pockets. Can you please guide me on who to contact or what steps I can take?

I received a speeding ticket on July 30, [redacted] (Case # ELI356983). I was required to pay fines, complete traffic school, and submit the completion certificate by December 21, [redacted]. I successfully finished the course on December 9, [redacted]. Due to unemployment, I requested an extension to pay the remaining balance on January 17, [redacted], which I settled by 2/28/17. However, I recently discovered an increase in my car insurance premium due to non-compliance with traffic school on my DMV record. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the certificate as it was sent directly to the court and DMV. I need guidance on how to provide the email confirmation of completion and rectify the error on my DMV record. When I visited the DMV, they mentioned my record status as BC instead of AF. I am unsure of these codes and how to correct them for both my insurance and DMV. Thank you for your help.

On April 19, [redacted], Joseph B. Plaskett was charged with a DUI. He paid all fines, completed required court and DMV programs, and on November 23, [redacted], requested a Post Sentence Minute Order to ask for credit towards the 1st Offender's DUI Program due to the program's bankruptcy. Mr. Plaskett provided evidence of course completion, and the Court recommended giving him credit. After being out of the country due to illness, Mr. Plaskett now needs to reinstate his CA Driver's License. Despite unsuccessful attempts to reach the mandatory Action Unit after numerous calls, he is seeking assistance. He is willing to travel to Sacramento for in-person service if available. Furthermore, he is hoping for the removal of a Failure to Appear from September 24, [redacted], to pay fees, take tests, and obtain a CA DL. He is ready to provide the Minute Order from November 23, [redacted], via fax, email, or in-person filing. Thank you for your attention and support. Wishing you a safe and enjoyable summer!

Hello. I am seeking advice regarding my son's situation. At 17, his license was revoked from November [redacted] to February [redacted] in Massachusetts. He opted not to renew it as we were moving to California in May/June [redacted]. Despite having resolved fines for speeding tickets, he completed the necessary courses for license reinstatement while finishing high school in Massachusetts as we transitioned to California. Now, he wishes to avoid the $[redacted] reinstatement fee and the lengthy process in Massachusetts. With plans to start college at CSUN in August, we aim for him to secure a California license in June or July [redacted] upon joining us. Can he present his suspended license and course completion certificates at the California DMV when he moves? Your input is appreciated. Thank you.

After being convicted of a DUI, the judge required proof of intent to leave the country to terminate the probation terms for travel. I followed through on the requirements set by the court, which led to the termination of my probation. Subsequently, I canceled my DUI classes. However, my driving license has been suspended by the DMV in Sacramento despite providing proof of termination three weeks ago. Today, when I visited the sheriff's office to receive my state police certificate, my license was confiscated. I am unsure of what additional information the DMV requires to lift the suspension before I travel abroad for work. How can I determine what is needed to resolve this issue promptly?

Hello CA/DMV, I waited for nearly three hours yesterday on the phone and laptop, holding to speak with the DMV "Tech" from the "Mandatory Actions Unit" to assist me with changing my renewed CA/DL as a 35-year resident. After the long wait, the "TECH" mentioned it sounded like a task for a manager and assured me a supervisor would call before the day ended. Disappointed by the unfulfilled promise, I am now requesting a supervisor from the Mandatory Actions Unit to contact me promptly. I find it unacceptable to be assured of a call that never came after investing significant time waiting. My issue could have been sorted over the phone, and I would appreciate an explanation for the lack of follow-through.

In [redacted], while traveling through Coos County, Oregon, I received a ticket. I reside in California. Unfortunately, my license expired in [redacted], and despite multiple attempts to renew it, I have faced repeated obstacles. Upon visiting the local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), I was advised that I must contact the Mandatory Actions Unit (MAU) before proceeding. Despite making numerous calls to the MAU, I have been left on hold indefinitely each time, never connecting with a representative. It is crucial that I speak with them to resolve my license issue and regain my driving privileges. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
