Hello,
I recently bought a Dragonfly Red to replace an older version. I've been using it with my MacBook Air using 'Tidal' as the source. Today, when I launched Tidal, a message popped up on my screen saying:
MQA Device detected: Audioquest Dragonfly Red. Do you want to use this device as sound output? Select: No, Keep Current, or Yes, Set as output.
I mistakenly chose the second option and when I played an MQA track, the volume was excessively loud through my headphones. I quickly unplugged the Dragonfly, but my ears and headphones suffered. After selecting 'Keep Current' and retesting, things seem fine now.
I'm concerned about the potential risks and wonder if this was a fault with the Dragonfly, my MacBook, or Tidal. Who should address this issue?
