I am sharing my disappointing experience at AmericInn Charlevoix during my recent stay for a wedding from 7/6-7/8. Upon arrival, I discovered there was no elevator, which was not mentioned during booking. Communication was lacking as I did not receive any pre-stay emails besides the initial confirmation. When I called to confirm my reservation, I faced long hold times and eventually was assigned a second-floor room. Due to carrying luggage and having children, I requested a ground-level room, which was finally granted. However, upon entering the room, it was unclean with beds unmade and a dirty bathroom. The front desk's response to the situation was underwhelming, and the lack of basic amenities like water and restroom facilities added to the frustration. The unresponsive staff's attitude and the malfunctioning air conditioner further added to the negative experience. Despite voicing concerns to the general manager, the issues were not adequately addressed, leaving me extremely dissatisfied and unlikely to recommend this location to others. Thank you, F Merturi.

During our stay at the Super 8 Jackson Hole on [redacted] South Hwy 89, Jackson WY on 9/6/[redacted], I encountered cleanliness issues with the sheets which had hair and were dirty. After receiving new sheets from the front desk, I changed them myself. The next morning, a bug was found on the floor. Please credit my VISA account $[redacted].59 for this subpar experience. Additionally, at the Americinn on [redacted] Yellowstone Ave. Cody, WY on 9/9/[redacted] and 9/10/[redacted], the warm breakfast was missing silverware, leading to an odd situation where my companion had to use a Swiss Army knife to cut waffles. This does not reflect well on your hotel chain. Kindly credit my Visa account $[redacted].82 for these inconveniences.

Our stay in North Branch, Minnesota was pleasant until I encountered an issue during checkout at 11:00 am. The parking lot was not plowed after heavy snowfall, which resulted in my car being stuck and needing to be towed. The snow removal contractor did not arrive until checkout time, using inadequate equipment for the large lot. During an outdoor discussion with my husband about the situation, the plow operator confronted us aggressively. The hotel's failure to ensure timely snow removal for safe guest departures is irresponsible. The behavior of the plow operator was completely unacceptable, involving harassment and shouting. This incident reflects poorly on the hotel and needs immediate attention. Despite informing the desk clerk, I believe this matter requires a company response. Everything else about our stay was satisfactory, but addressing this situation is crucial to prevent future guest distress. I recommend seeking a different snow removal contractor for proper service.

My family and I had a reservation at the American Inn in West Burlington, IA for Feb 11, [redacted]. Prior to booking, I called the hotel twice to inquire about early check-in. The lady at the front desk assured me we could check in around 9 or 10 am. When I called 15 minutes away to notify them of our imminent arrival, the manager insisted we had to wait until 3 pm. Despite mentioning my previous conversation, she accused me of lying, displayed a rude attitude, attributing everything to herself sarcastically. She made racially charged remarks when I expressed discomfort staying due to her behavior. When I asked for her name, she refused to divulge it. This experience has marred my family trip, and I am deeply upset. I seek urgent assistance and will consult a legal professional regarding the discriminatory comments.

During my recent stay at Americinn in Monona, WI on 7/19/[redacted], I accidentally left behind a Grey Bluetooth speaker. When I realized I forgot it, I promptly contacted the hotel. The staff member on duty seemed unsure about their lost and found process but mentioned they might have one. She promised to look into it and asked me to call back in 15 minutes.
Unfortunately, she wasn't able to locate the speaker. When I called back later, she still hadn't found it. The next morning, I spoke with Manager Monty, who also couldn't find the speaker but mentioned a note from the previous staff member who hadn't searched for it. Despite his efforts to check other areas, the speaker was nowhere to be found.
I appreciate the hotel's policy on lost items, but I expected better communication and assistance from the staff regarding my missing speaker. I remain hopeful that the speaker will be found, possibly by housekeeping or the current occupant.

I have a case opened regarding my recent hotel reservation credit request. I am disappointed with the outcome. I understand the "no cancel" policy in place but had unforeseen circumstances that led to my event being canceled the night before check-in. I have reached out to AmericInn/Wyndham and my company for assistance. I hope we can find a solution. Thank you, David
