I brought my Bernina sewing machine to Lake Charles, Lousiana for repairs because the motor was only humming and it wasn't sewing. After the repair, it still didn't work, so I assumed it was the foot control. I bought a new foot control, but the machine was still not functioning properly. When I took it back to the store, the staff member pointed out that the bobbin winder switch was engaged, and once that was fixed, the machine sewed again. However, when using the new foot control at home, the machine ran slowly and would start and stop. I feel like I spent $[redacted] on unnecessary repairs because the issue was as simple as the bobbin winder switch. Now, I am unsure if the problem lies with the machine or the foot control.
