I recently noticed a charge of $39.99 for an AVG subscription that I believed I had canceled. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the email address I used to register for the service on my Android device. I attempted to contact their support line for assistance, but was provided with a U.S. number ([redacted]) that doesn't appear to be operational. Currently, I only see the pending transaction on my bank statement as it is Saturday and the bank is closed. I am unsure if the bank will be able to reverse the charge for me. It seems likely that they will advise me to reach out to AVG, which I am unable to do without my original account details.

I am inquiring about the status of my refund to my Visa card. I mistakenly ordered the wrong product, a tune-up instead of antivirus, on May 30. I promptly canceled the order within 5 minutes upon realizing the error. A supervisor assured me that I would receive my refund within 5 days and encouraged me to reorder the correct product. I was given an order number: [redacted]8. Initially, I spoke with Jullian, followed up the next day, and encountered a rude and unhelpful representative who did not provide a name. I am disappointed by the poor treatment I received and am eagerly awaiting the return of my funds before proceeding with the antivirus purchase. Thank you, Adrianne S. Kennedy.

Hi Hilda,
Thank you for purchasing AVG Internet Security on [redacted]-07-03.
If you require assistance installing the software, please use the following steps:
1. Download your AVG software from [redacted].
2. Double-click the downloaded file to initiate the installation process.
3. Copy and paste your license number when prompted. Your license number is: IMY9K-UUYXT-W4BZQ-QIIYY-O7AX6-MLNAZ.
I received an email about auto-renewal and payment for AVG Internet Security, but I have not purchased another one. The license number provided is not associated with my account; my AVG is still active. I've been using AVG for years, and this is a new issue. I would appreciate an explanation and require a refund if any unauthorized charges were made.

I have noticed an unauthorized charge of $42.19 from my account. I have AVG antivirus software, which is paid for and valid until April. I did not intend to buy any additional software from you. I received a notification from PayPal about the charge. I do not want nor authorize this charge. Please refund the money immediately. Transaction # 5KG[redacted][redacted]. I have other antivirus software providers and pay the yearly fee without extra charges. I do not need nor have authorized any additional software. I am disappointed in your business practice. You can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] I expect your prompt attention. Regards, BT.

On April 6, [redacted], I received an email from [redacted] regarding my AVG subscription, including credit card details for a renewal I never authorized. Subsequently, on April 23, [redacted], another email claimed the renewal was completed, deducting A$69.99 from my card, using Order number: [redacted]0. I have taken this matter up with my bank and may pursue legal action if not resolved promptly. This unauthorized activity appears to involve someone misusing AVG's official documents. It is essential that AVG addresses this issue to maintain trust with customers like me. I'm a former military member on a disability pension, and this situation is highly distressing. I demand an explanation and resolution, as I do not wish to receive any newsletters or be associated with such fraudulent activities. I urge AVG to respond promptly before further action is taken. I received an email today that my AVG Driver Updater subscription was automatically renewed, but we don't have any subscriptions according to my account. Unauthorized charges have been made, and I request an immediate credit and removal of any stored credit card information. This has been an ongoing issue with other AVG products in the past. Please update your system to prevent this from happening again. Thank you.
Best regards,

Hello, I am Alejandro. I would like confirmation of the cancellation of my subscription and confirmation of no charges regarding this matter.
The 60-day trial period expires on the 14th of this month. I have already unsubscribed today, on December 1st, [redacted].
I kindly request that I am not billed the amount of €79.99 on the 7th of this month of December, as I have canceled my subscription before the established deadline.
Thank you very much and best regards.

A while ago, I was installing a virus protection software on my computer. Instead of selecting the recommended $39.99 option, I accidentally chose the $29.99 one. I provided my credit card information, expecting to pay $29.99. Now, to upgrade to the recommended version, the cost has increased to over $70. I urgently need to address threats harming my computer that are causing it to slow down. I wasn't aware that the recommended option made a significant difference in threat removal. Could you please allow me to switch to the $39.99 option instead of the higher price I am being charged now? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a 2-year subscription from AVG on November 14, [redacted], using a debit card ending in [redacted]. However, on December 14, I noticed that I was billed again for the same subscription but this time on a credit card ending in [redacted]. I don't want to be charged twice for the same service. I have already informed Visa to stop the payment for the second billing. Could you please reach out to Visa regarding the second charge and ensure that the transaction on the credit card ending in [redacted] is canceled? Thank you.

Since installing this software on my computer, every program runs very slowly. Often, when I attempt to open a program, it starts and then abruptly stops, failing to open. Even opening the web browser is sluggish, displaying a blank white page for an extended period before loading. Once open, it flickers a few times, delaying my ability to type until it suddenly catches up in the middle of sentences. When trying to connect from the homepage, it states the page is unavailable. For example, when I access AVG support and click for technical assistance, it claims the page is outdated and unavailable. This situation is frustrating and time-consuming. Prior to installing your software, I did not encounter these issues. I am not satisfied with the performance and would like a refund for the purchase. After multiple attempts with a technician to resolve the problems, the program seems to be functioning, but I am uncertain if it is operating correctly.
Thank you,
R. Black

I tried a free trial for AVG protection, but it caused my computer to freeze. I uninstalled it immediately and called customer service to request a refund and prevent any charges to my account. Despite my explicit instructions to not bill me, they charged me twice. I am extremely frustrated with this situation and the hassle it has caused me.

I have noticed that £64.99 has been deducted from my account for a service that has been set up for the next [redacted] days without my authorization. I do not agree to any payments unless I have explicitly agreed, which is not the case here. While I am interested in continuing with AVG, I expect to pay the same or less than last year. It is disappointing to find myself in a situation where I am trying to avoid scams, yet I am faced with an unauthorized charge. Please cancel this service, issue a refund, and ensure that any future offer is beneficial to me. Kindly contact me once the cancellation is processed. Thank you. - J.S. My partner and I had been using AVG Free Edition when issues started occurring two months ago on the computer I lent to my partner. We decided to try a two-month free trial of an AVG add-on that would automatically turn into a one-year subscription on May 29. After finding the add-on unsatisfactory, I promptly cancelled the trials on both computers in mid-May and uninstalled AVG as thoroughly as possible. Unfortunately, communication with AVG is challenging as there is no phone support. Despite cancelling, my partner was still charged $79 on her Chase card on May 29. We have since switched to Norton [redacted] on the advice of our IT consultant. My partner, Elfriede R., has informed Chase about the erroneous charge. We are hoping for assistance in resolving this matter on your end.

I had an AVG product installed by technician T, who was recommended by a Microsoft answering system. Unfortunately, I am unable to reach the technician, and I am concerned about being hacked. I would like to talk to someone about this issue. I will provide my email address shortly. In the meantime, here is my phone number [redacted]. I understand it may take some time for a response. I recently upgraded my AVG antivirus from the free version to what I believed was their best package, expecting premium service for one PC. Instead, I received coverage for 10 PCs, which is not what I wanted or needed. I paid over $75 for this but my PC is not recognizing the renewal, and I keep getting pop-up notifications stating I have no coverage. I would like this issue resolved or a refund provided. I want the service I paid for, as advertised, and I am willing to cover any price difference for the correct package. I am looking for assistance from AVG to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you for your understanding.

I have a question regarding my AVG antivirus software. Recently, I kept receiving notifications that my antivirus needed updating, with the message counting down the days left. Eventually, I took it to a computer shop to switch to a new antivirus package. To my surprise, the technician informed me that I still had [redacted] days left on my current package. I am puzzled as to why this message was appearing if the days were not actually expiring. When the computer was turned on at the shop, the message did not show up. The technician couldn't explain this discrepancy. I am wondering if the AVG site might have been cloned to display this misleading message. It's quite confusing, and I would appreciate any insights into why this occurred. Thank you for your assistance.

I recently upgraded my AVG service and I am now being prompted to purchase two or three additional items. I'm confused about what I actually purchased, as the only change I noticed was the installation of a VPN, which I already had. I was expecting enhanced privacy protection, not duplicate services. Unfortunately, with the VPN, I am experiencing difficulty accessing my bank accounts. Now, AVG is trying to sell me a driver updater and other products. This experience feels more like extortion than a helpful service, and I am disappointed by this misleading sales approach.

Hello,
I purchased AVG's Security Pack on 8/4/21. I am disappointed that there is no phone support available for customers. I prefer a more personalized approach to resolving issues.
I am looking to purchase the AVG Tune-up Pack after the trial period ends. However, I have not noticed a significant improvement in my computer's performance since the trial began on 12/14/21. Though some interferences were reportedly fixed. I don't want different products as I am still under contract with AVG Security for a few more months.
I need assistance from a tech support person as I struggle with technology, despite the instructions seeming straightforward. A well-functioning computer is crucial for my work as a Psychotherapist working remotely since the start of the pandemic in [redacted].
I understand that responses are via email only, but I hope my feedback is acknowledged. Kindly refrain from replying via email.
Thank you,
SWM

I have paid twice for the driver update feature, on May 22nd and earlier this month, but it is not working. It is asking for an identity number, which I did not receive.
I am seeking assistance to fix this issue with the driver update feature on my computer. Additionally, even though it is not your responsibility, I will be looking to secure a refund for one of the charges.
Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated as I rely on the driver update feature to prevent my computer from crashing.
Thank you,

I signed up for the free version of AVG but ended up interested in the low-price one-year subscription they offered. As a new online shopper, I feel I could benefit from additional protection. However, when trying to make a payment, I kept getting a message that my card was declined. I reached out to my bank, and the representative confirmed that my card was fine but pointed out a potential issue with the AVG website. Could someone assist me with this matter?
