Hello, I am reaching out to assist my mother in reinstating her AARP RX coverage. Due to a move to another state, her coverage was canceled for non-payment. This occurred because when she updated her address with the RX plan, they did not inquire if she wanted her premiums to continue being deducted from her social security. Consequently, billing defaulted to the customer, and she was unaware of this change. Over the years, she has faced numerous health challenges including cancer, kidney failure, falls, heart attack, stroke, arterial disease, and early stages of dementia. With a medication regimen of over 15 prescriptions a month, costing approximately $2,[redacted] without insurance, these meds are crucial to managing her conditions. The unexpected cancellation due to non-payment that we were unaware of has put her health at risk. We believe this situation could have been avoided if the plan had confirmed her payment preference when updating her address. As her son, I am urgently seeking assistance in reinstating her plan as she has been a loyal customer for 15 years. She should not be penalized for this oversight, and I kindly request immediate help resolving this issue.
