To download and use the Lyft app, follow these steps: 1. Open the app store (Google Play Store for Android or App Store for iOS) on your smartphone. 2. In the search bar, type "Lyft" and press enter. 3. Locate the Lyft app in the search results and tap "Install" or "Get". 4. Once the app is installed, open it. 5. Sign up or log in with your details. 6. To book a ride, enter your destination in the 'Where are you going?' box, select your ride type and tap 'Select Lyft'. Confirm your pickup location and tap 'Confirm Pickup'. 7. Review the ride details on the next screen and when you're ready, tap 'Request Lyft' to complete the booking.

We suggest reaching out to Lyft support directly to alert them of the issue. They can verify the payments and if any errors were made on Lyft's end, they can process a reversal of the charges. You'll need to include details like the date and time of the transaction, the amount charged, and any receipt or statements from Hertz highlighting the charges in question. Remember, it's important to inform them as soon as you notice the discrepancy for the best chance at a quick resolution.

To reschedule a Lyft ride without an extra charge, you need to cancel the trip before the driver is on their way to pick you up. You can do this in the app by selecting the 'Cancel ride' option after your ride request has been accepted. You won't be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel within the two-minute grace period after requesting a ride. After this, whether or not a cancellation fee is charged will depend on how much time has passed and how close the driver is to the pickup location. You can get an estimated cost for your Lyft ride by using the Lyft app. Open the app, enter your pickup and drop-off locations, and you will see the estimated cost for each car service. The estimate is based on the distance, estimated journey time, and current demand for rides in your area. It's important to remember that actual costs can vary due to factors like traffic and changes in your route during the ride. You'll see the final ride cost on your receipt after the ride ends, which includes any added stops or extra time spent in the car.
