I made a donation on ****** to a gofund me account for Mike and Hope Turner. I wanted the total donation to be $***.** . My husband got a notice from American Express that said we have two pending charges* one for approximately $***.** and some change and another for $**.** and some change. I called American Express to stop payment on those donations and charge me only with a total donation of $***.**. AMEX said they could do nothing while charges were pending and to notify go fund me to resolve the issue. AMEX said they can act once it posts in *-* days and the dispute will take up to * weeks to resolve. I contacted the person, Marilynn, who originally sent me the go fund me information. She text and directed me to you. I hope this can be resolved without any dispute. I would prefer talking to you in person. I do not want to send my credit card number with this email.
