My wife had a very negative experience with staff at the Bancroft Ontario branch in attempting to arrange for me to be added as a co owner of our US *bank account @ * years ago. As a result we left the branch. In an effort to re open activities at the branch again this week we encountered difficulties. Out of frustration we stopped in at a TD branch some ** km from our home in the town of Minden. After my wife recanted her experience in Bancroft and her frustration to the Minden branch staff including the manager we experienced the most positive customer experience that we have ever encountered in the customer service industry. The staff in Minden were empathetic to our previous experience and provided full support and assistance in getting us reconnected with TD. We were very surprised that TD did not investigate as to why we closed our account at the Bancroft branch. We found out in Minden that the person responsible for initiating my wife’s frustration and closing the account in Bancroft had not done so as our information and debit cards were still active in the TD system. We would like a customer service contact so that we can recognize the employees in the Minden branch for their efforts and have at this positive experience recognized by their senior managers.
