I am a firm believer in commending employees in their work. Having worked with the public myself I know complaints are given more then compliments. However, unfortunately this is not a compliment. My boyfriend and I ate at ***** Port Ritchey Fla. on ** (Ticket ink has rubbed off...so I hope that's correct.) We are retired and have done a lot of traveling eating in many Golden Corals. But this was the worst. Our receipt shows *:** pm arrival. When we went to get our food we found many things low or empty. I asked about chicken legs and the gentleman went to the back and then informed me it would be ready in ** min. ( there were * varied pieces left.) I looked at the baked chicken, but it appeared not to be done. I settled on the ham. I took a spoon of sweet potatoes and that was out. I also got peas that didn't taste like they were fully cooked and cold as well as corn that was cold. The rolls were cold and looked dry so I waited for fresh food to be put out. When I returned for chicken, the gentleman returned to the back and informed me it would be another ** min. because the cook forgot to drop them for fry. The cook came out...apologizing jokingly, saying it was his fault .. and "I'm bad". I replied joking back..."oooo I'm going to shoot ya...shame on ya...ok I hear ya" After walking around the food area again and thinking about it I went to the Front end manager who was doing paperwork by the register. I told her my concerns and she went to check on the chicken, picking up a clean plate as she went back. She came back apologizing saying it would be another * min. and we joked on his and my reply to his oversight. I was sitting facing the food and kept checking on it. It took approx. ** minutes before the sweet potatoes or chicken came out. I never did see any rolls brought out and the same * or * remained in the pan when we left. I know I was not the only customer who noticed the lack of food, since a couple of them made remarks to me as they passed me at the food counter. We have eaten many lunches and dinners during the week and weekends. (We have recently become residents of Hudson, Fla. so we usually eat at the Spring Hill*location on ** .) However, the food at this loation was totally unacceptable. I might add...We saw * gentleman with a beard who had a net on it, but the steak cook did not wear one on his. We also noticed as he kept looking at his hand that he had no gloves on. I also was not happy fighting with the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom. (handicap stall) or the condition of the bathroom. I hope that in writing this, more attention will be given to some of the issues that effect customers and your valuable service.
